POV Rapunzel

”Why are we doing this again?” I said with high voice. For a week Elsa and Jack have been with us. For some reason we eight decided to find some zombies and test the antidote. However it wasn’t so easy because most of the zombies that we found were too far in their decombosing and been too long turned.

Since the mankind was already vanishing from the face of US we had serious trouble. And who would want to get bitten anyway and being tested with possibly working antidote after? I wouldn’t. My job was to give the injection since I wanted to be a doctor one day but after seeing everything I am leaning towards a baker’s career if the world is like it used to be in other countries.

Merida and Hiccup were on one team and Kristoff, Anna and Flynn were working together. Me, Jack and Elsa were searching one area. When we found someone that we could test the antidote with we should call each other with radio.

“This is hopeless,” Elsa sighed and Jack quickly placed his arm around her. “Cheer up zombie killer. Just stop shooting every one of them to their heads when you see them? One would do for our tests,” Jack laughed and Elsa hummed. “Haha, really funny,” Elsa said sarcastically.

Suddenly a zombie with flesh hanging from it’s neck came around the corner and Elsa shot its brains off. “See, what did I tell you,” Jack chuckled and Elsa pushed him. Jack lost his balance for a second and it caused me to laugh.

Then we heard how the radio went on. “We are surrounded, I repeat—surrounded!” It was Anna’s voice. Elsa took the radio quickly from me, “ANNA! We hear you! Where are you?” Elsa said quicklhy.

”At the flea market area, please.. hurry!” Anna screamed. On the background we heard shooting and groaning. We look at each other and then we run. They would be just few blocks away.

“Jack,” Elsa said and Jack nodded. Jack started to run to an alley, he was taking the shortcut. He run and jumped to a dumpster. When he reached the edge of the dumpster he easily jumped against the wall where he kicked some speed. He grabbed onto a wooden fence where he pulled himself up and jumped to other side. He was way much faster than us.

When we reached the corner of the buildings we turned right. Jack was running 50 feet away from us, going forward. Sideways he swung his staff and few zombies flew to ground. Elsa aimed while running, couple of shots and the zombies dropped to ground and never moved again.

Jack stopped running and took his sniper rifle. He kneeld down and aimed. We run past him and he shoots bullets which fly past us, they hit directly to their targets. Now we are starting to see how Anna, Kristoff and Flynn are surrounded by pack of 40 or more zombies. “FLYNN! We are coming!” I scream.

Some of the zombies noticed us and they are walking towards us. Now we can see the others better when they are not fully surrounded. Kristoff is waving his axe and behedding two.

One girl limps towards me and I run to her, her eyes are blank and her jaw is dislocated. She smells worse than rotting wish, her skin has grey glow and when I push her back some skin of hers moves. A piece of her flesh falls to ground because of the decombosing state and I hold my breath when I slam the knife of mine to its handle depth to her head. When she falls the blade stays in my hand and greenish grey smelling and sticky brain matter stains are left on it.

“THIS IS DISGUSTING!” I yell and Elsa and Jack agree when they are trying to fight the zombies off. Suddenly I feel something touching me. It is a chubby looking man with only one arm, he is snapping his jaws together and trying to bite me.

I stab him to his head but I can’t get the blade out.

SNAP.

I look at my knife with broken blade. One zombie is now reaching to my leg and I back up. I bump into someone and I look behind of me. I gasped when I saw a zombie leaning towards my neck. I managed to broke free and I went inside of cooking store.

“A weapon.. weapon,” I whisper and I search the shelves. ”Gosh people have taken the knives already,” I sighed and then I heard the door bell ringing. Three zombies came inside from my only escape route.

“RRR-roooar,” something is groaning behind of me. From a back room the store owner lady zombie is approaching me. My heart is pounding as I try to figure out what to do. I hear gunshots so Jack and Elsa are fighting and having their own issues. I have to deal it by myself.

Quickly I grapped a frying pan from the table and I slam the zombie. I see how it’s face crushes and it falls down. I am staring at the moveless creature with my mouth open from amazement. “Wow,” I whispered.

Then I look at the three still approaching zombies and I give out a sly smirk. I run forward and I hit one directly to it’s face, other one straight from up to it’s head and the other one got serious beating from side.

“This is the awesomest thing ever!” I giggled and hugged the frying pan. It was made from real iron so no wonder it works perfectly. It also makes the perfect creppes… but it needs some serious washing first.

I go outside and I see how Jack and Elsa have killed about twenty zombies in front of the store door. They are now going towards Flynn, Anna and Kristoff. They are in serious trouble and I hold my frying pan on my side, in fighting position as I run.

“We are coming!” Jack yells and shoots one to head again.

”AAAAA!”

A scream of a man in pain just froze my heart. We all stopped running for a second and we stare in front of us. A zombie is hanging from Kristoff’s shoulder and biting its teeth deep inside.

WHOOSH.

We see how a bolt flies through air and pierces the things skull. Kristoff drops to his knees and is squeezing his bleeding shoulder. Anna kneels next to him and is crying, panicking. “STOP STANDING AROUND AND HELP THEM!” Merida’s voice is screaming when she runs down from the street on the left. Hiccup is following her and taking out his flame sword.

Now we all attacked fiercely and we managed to kill everyone of those awful creatures. I go to Kristoff and I clean up his wound. He is groaning when I use the disinfectant, “It just stings for a while.” I whispered when I put a bandage on the bite mark.

Hiccup rubbed his neck, “This is bad.” He said and Merida went to him while staring at Kristoff with sad eyes. When Merida embraced Hiccup he rubbed her back to comfort her.

“We could try the antidote?” I whispered. Anna seemed scared but Elsa gave her a hug. I heard Elsa whispering to Anna, “It is the only way.”Anna nodded.

“Does it hurt?” Kristoff gasped when I tied up his arm. ”Not at all,” I smiled to him when I tapped his blood vein places on his arm with my fingers. Then I injected the antidote to his blood stream. “Does it really work?” Flynn said while kneeling next to me.

”I hope, it worked with Anna at least,” I whispered to Flynn and he nodded. I see how Kristoff shivers and he is closing his eyes. “Let’s let him rest, Jack and Hiccup.. would you keep the first watch?” I ask from them and they promised to do it. I told Flynn to take Anna to get some medical supplied from pharmacy, Merida agreed to join them. Not that we actually need anything but I needed to distract Anna.

Elsa and I sat in silence. “This has been odd time,” Elsa whispered. “How come?” I look at her. ”We found love in the darkest situation that you could imagine.. every day we live in fear to lose our friends, loved ones. Don’t you agree?” She smiled sadly and I sighed. ”You’re right but we will fight to the end. This might be the solution to the ending world. Maybe we can save the humankind,” I smiled to her and she gave me a hug.

“Uh, you guys,” Hiccup gulped and he dropped down the soda cans that he was bringing to us. We see how Kristoff is having twitching movement. Jack readies his staff and I take my frying pan.

The twitching ended and we wait, will he be our friend anymore? Then he opened his eyes. “W-what happened?” He gasped and we stare at him. I started to laugh and I run to hug him, ”THE ANTIDOTE WORKED! That happened!” I feel how Kristoff responds to my hug.

POV Jack

I smile happily when I see how happy everyone is from Kristoff’s recovery, especially Anna. However I am not sure why she had to bring pregnancy tests to Punzie who said that Anna needed to bring stuff to help Kristoff. Yeah, she actually put it on the list and keeps telling me that it was for distraction as well as the lacsative, antibiotics and bandages etc.

We are now in the apartment and waiting for further instructions from the guardians. We should soon start to treat people with the antidote that works as a vaccine too. However some souls will be forever lost.

Elsa sits next to me. “So.. soon I will be going back to Norway..” She whispered and leaned her head against my shoulder. My heart was aching, how should I tell her that I can’t go with her for now. My responsibilities are now holding me back since I joined the group of Guardians. “Uh.. Elsa,” I whispered and she covered my mouth with her front finger.

“I know Jack,” she looked me with sad eyes, “I know.. But I also know that you will come after me one day, right?” I tried now to swallow the lumpy feeling from my throat as I watched her. Her smile was warm and caring.

She stood up and pulled me after her. Her hand was holding mine when she took me to corridor. “Where are we going?” I asked and she laughed slightly. ”You will see,” she whispered and opened a door to apartment.

There were dozens of candles lighting the room. She closed the door behind of us. She placed her arms around my neck and kissed me passionately, her hands moved to my hair and messed it. I wanted to scream from joy right now, having this private moment with her was something that I had longed for so long.

As I kissed her we were swaying close to each other. I embraced her and she held me tightly. We didn’t need music, our feelings were moving us. Our love is our music that helps us dance. “I love you so much,” she whispered and I kissed her forehead when a single tear fell on her cheek.

“I will come after you.. I promise that, after everything seems better in this country… I will come, I will find you,” I petted her head and she buried her head against my chest and sobbed. “Shh.. I will always got your back,” I lifted her chin up and kissed her couple of times. “My love for you will be my strength, without you I am nothing Elsa,” I chuckled and she hugged me tighter than ever.

“Thank you,” she said and I started to gasp for air. “S-sorry,” she giggled and let go. I smile to her warmly, “Hey. It is alright, really.” I wiped away hair strand from covering her beautiful face. We stayed in the apartment for the whole night chatting, the outside world vanished as well as the sense of time. It was just us, we and our feelings to each other.
