22 Release the Hounds

POV Anna

In Tiana’s place was a girl named Alice. She was the last one who saw Elsa alive and well. She wanted to come with us, to show us the way that would be the safest to Atlantica. She told us that she had had it from sitting inside that place. Besides she misses her boyfriend who is a hat maker in Atlantica. It figures out why she wanted to join us.

“So why wouldn’t you stay safe in Norway?” Alice asks me while we walk in the field area. We were out of the city now. Unfortunately our vehicles were useless since we ran out of gas. “I needed to find my sister, I really want to be there for her. Even though she doesn’t believe in it, I think that we are stronger together,” I smiled to Alice who nodded in approval.

“Hush!” Johnny told us and pointed towards the edge of the fields. There were people coming toward us. “Do you think they’re friendly'?” I whispered to Kristoff who stared towards the sight. “THEY’RE NOT FRIENDLY!” It was Peter who ran towards us with Marc. They had been scouting forward, checking that the route would be clear. “The zombies are coming!” Marc yelled.

We all started to run and the zombies approached us from every direction. Alice took smooth swifts with her pipe, she swung it in the air and hit the zombies in their heads. Smashing their skulls. I used a knife, the same one that my ex Hans used to stab me. I imagined that the zombie I was stabbing in the head would actually be Hans. It was quite satisfying really.

“Why didn’t you call us with the radio!” Mavis yelled to Peter while we run. Alexa shot the further away being zombies with her shotgun. The heads exploded when the shot hit them. She was clearing the route for us to escape, run forward. “It went dead!” Peter laughed. “What the fudge is funny!” Johnny yelled. “It was dead, you know,” Peter laughed nervously when he sniped two zombies.

Johnny took out a bomb, he pulled the pinch out and he threw it behind of us. “Duck!” Johnny yelled and jumped to ground. “What duck? Where?” Alexa looked around her and Kristoff pulled her down just in time before the explosion split the air. Body parts flew around us and a chunk of flesh made a splat in front of me.

“Run, run!” Marc yelled and we all ran to forest. I was getting out of breath. “In here!” Alice yelled and we ran after her. We saw a mansion in front of us. “A rich guy uses this as his summer holiday place!” Alice yelled to us when she smashed one window from the extravagant looking door with colored glass. She unlocked the door and we all stepped inside. We barricaded the door.

“Phew! That sure was hell of a run!” Peter chuckled and I saw Johnny falling to ground and laying on his back. He carried a big bag on his back the whole time filled with weapons, bombs and the radio. No wonder that he is exhausted. Kristoff was wiping sweat from his face and I tried to catch my breath. “We made it!” Marc yelled and hugged Alexa who gasped for air.

“Why are you in my home?” We heard a voice coming from upstairs. We turned around and a man was standing in the end of the staircase that was going to second floor. With his hand on the railing he walked downstairs.

“There is a hell on the loose!” Mavis yelled to him. “We just need some shelter,” I told to the man. His expression was a bit cold, it reminded me of Elsa when she turned her back at me. Right after our accident. We were skating, practicing to our skating competition. She was supposed to catch me, hold me in the air but something went wrong. I hit my head badly and layed in the hospital for six months. I don’t remember much. I was just 13 years old back then and my skating career ended there. Elsa blamed herself for that. Not long after that our parents died. It was awful time but slowly we are getting closer.

“Why are you here?” The man asked again coldly. He was slender built, with long light auburn hair and blue eyes. I noticed that he dressed like a noble. “Hey, what is it?” A girl came from the shadows. The girl exhaled loudly, “You’re alright!” Then I knew who she was. “Belle!” I yelled and ran to hug her.

Belle smiled, “Sorry for my boyfriend. He might seem like a beast sometimes. His name is Adam.” Adam rolled his eyes but smiled. He gave me a bow. I did a curtsy to him since my background kind of makes it unintentional. “So you’ve been taught manners,” Adam smiles with more unease way now.

“I am the daughter of Vinter family in Arendelle. My parents were duke and duchess,” I told him and he nodded. I smiled when I saw Belle’s dad waving his hand to us. I giggled and waved back at him.

Gladly they let us they there tonight. I was feeling so tired. In the bathroom I noticed that my wound had started to bleed again. “Ouch,” I whispered when I poured some disinfectant into it. “Are you ok?” Kristoff talked to me from bathroom door. “Y-yeah,” I whimpered and he came to me.

Kristoff lifted my strawberry blonde hair away from my face, my try to cover my painful expression failed. “Let me see,” he whispered and lifted the fabric that I held over the wound. “You need painkillers and antibiotics,” he told me and smiled faintly. “Wait a minute, I will get you some,” he told me and stood up. He was so nice to me all the time after what happened with Hans.

My heart beat fast when he came back. My body quivered when he cleaned up my wound, for a moment our eyes met. My cheeks blushed and so did his. “Y-you ok?” He whispered while gently patting at my wound with a rag dipped in cleaning liquid. I nodded and he smiled. As a reflex my hand went to his cheek, his face turned red and he looked at me. “W-what are y-you?” He exhaled.

My other hand went to his shirts collar, pulling him closer. He made a muffled sound when our lips met. For a second he tried to release from my grip but then he relaxed. He dropped the cleaning liquid bottle to the floor and I heard it shatter. My eyes were now closed.

Kristoff’s hands rubbed my back and I felt warm. Even the pain that I felt on my wound slowly faded away when I was close to him. When our kissing stopped he rubbed his neck, “W-well.. that sure was something.” He chuckled nervously and I giggled. “Yeah.. I kind of liked it,” my fingers touched my lips and I blushed so hard. Even his eyes widened and he looked to other direction. “Thank you for everything Kristoff,” I hugged him and he responded to my hug. It made me smile even though the world around us wasn’t worth smiling for.

Kristoff left the bathroom after treating my wound. He did a great job. My heart fluttered when I thought of him. I look outside from the window and see the stars. I wonder if Elsa is looking at the stars now? I remember how I once told her that because the sky is awake so I am awake. Does she remember that? Is she looking at it? If she is it would made me feel closer to her even though we are not together. I hold on to my tears and I sigh, “I miss you Elsa.”

POV Punzie

The man who Hiccup called as Drago Bludvist leaded us to his headquarters. He was a man who seemed to be feared and followed by that cause. His cold green eyes were deep in his skull, the skin surrounding them being dark and grayish. His body was heavy built and his facial features reminded me of a gorilla that I saw last summer in the zoo with my parents. He was a gorilla with black dreadlocks and a long black beard.

Drago despited Hiccup, he treated him roughly and without shame in his actions. He referred his dog as “The Alpha” which even Toothless was afraid of. The Alpha was much bigger than Toothless, it even had fangs that stuck out from its mouth. It seemed to control the other dogs from the pack that was surrounding us, forcing us to move forward.

One brown dog was growling next to me, flashing its white teeth to me. It startled me and I jumped to my left. I hit to Flynn who placed his hands over my shoulders while we walked. “Calm down, we will find a way out,” he whispered to me. I shivered but nodded to him.

“Ah!” It was a yell that caught my attention. Drago had just thrown Hiccup to ground with the help of is metallic arm. “Don’t do this Drago! Not a time like this when people should join forces against the zombies!” Hiccup tried to convince Drago while he held his bleeding forehead. He had hit his head on a small rock in the ground.

Mindless laughter came from deep within the man called Drago. We all glanced at each other in misbelieve. “You should listen to him!” Merida yelled to Drago who then glared at her angrily. “Shut up stupid girl, I am the Hound God so you have no right to speak to me, you pitiful spawn,” as Drago spoke to Merida his dog called the Alpha approached Merida barking and licking its lips.

“Come here!” Drago yelled to the Alpha and it paced to his side. “Next time I won’t show you mercy,” Drago grinned and he took a hold of Hiccup’s shirts collar, dragging him in the ground. “With you I will get to your dad,” Drago laughed to Hiccup who tried to get free.

We arrived to a caravan place, there were portable homes on wheels all around. Vicious dogs were pacing around the area. The people in there were scaring me but they were more scared of Drago. “Open up that one,” Drago pointed towards the smallest mobile home that looked like it was already falling apart, it’s metal surface was all rusty and had some holes.

“Eret! Do as I say,” Drago growled and a guy with black hair and brown eyes quickly went to that door and opened it. Drago made Merida and Al go inside first. Then he tried to threw me in put Flynn came in front of me, preventing Drago to grab me from my hair and pull from them. I stepped inside of the mobile home by myself and Flynn flied inside after me. He had a cut on the edge of his eye. “Don’t you dare to resist me,” Drago hissed.

Eret pushed Elsa inside. “Hey!” Merid snapped when they were about to close the door and seal us in the darkness. Hiccup was still outside with Drago. “Don’t separate us!” I yelled and felt how Flynn was holding me back. Oh do I wish that he wouldn’t have taken away our weapons, especially my frying pan. It would have done a nice sound when it would have crushed his nose and wiped that awful grin away from his face.

POV Elsa

We are trapped again, another mad man is threatening us. Last time it was Pitch. Thinking of him still makes me shiver. That time Jack came to help us, now he is here no more and won’t come. He won’t come this time. I am panting while I watch Hiccup being held in strangling position, hanging from his neck that is held by Drago’s metallic arm.

Someone needs to do something. Like Jack did. He helped me when Pitch tried to approach me in a way that I highly disliked. Someone. I look once again towards the sight and when the door is almost closed I placed my feet on the doorway, preventing it from closing.

“You bastard!” I yelled when I punched the door open, the man named Eret fell to ground when the door hit him. I walked towards the hideous mad man, Drago. Hiccup managed to free his mouth and he stared at me, his eyes were twitching as he yelled to me, “Don’t come! Go back! That is a bad idea Elsa!” I didn’t listen to Hiccup and instead I hit Drago with my fist to his chin and spit on his face. “Let Hiccup go! Now I tell you or I will!” I screamed to him.

Drago kept on grinning. He was watching me from head to toe while he wiped his face clean. “If you won’t co-operate I am sorry, there is only one solution,” Drago grinned in evil way. My heart skipped a beat when I saw his eyes, staring at me with evil things reflecting from them. This won’t be good. I backed up and arms wrapped around me. When I glanced over my shoulder I saw Eret holding me still, he had shut the door to the mobile where others were imprisoned. They were screaming and banging the door.

Drago whistled so loud that it made my ears hurt. Some dogs surrounded us. “No! Drago! Please don’t do that!” Hiccup pleaded from him and I glanced at Hiccup while feeling confused. “You know how I am, don’t you,” Drago laughed to Hiccup and that laugh was so horrid, giving me goosebumps.

Then Drago’s gaze lifted from Hiccup to Eret. “You,” he pointed at his companion. “Take her to forest, I don’t want her remains messing our caravan site and attract any of those flesh hungry zombies,” he ordered Eren who nodded. “Good since you are useless any other way, where are my new dogs for today you worthless creature?” Drago mocked at Eret who tied my hands together and started to push me inside to the forest.

I heard Hiccup screaming after me, “Elsa! No Elsa! I am so sorry! Please Drago, no!” Then I heard a muffled groan. I glance over my shoulder and I see Hiccup laying on the ground unconscious. Drago kicks him, “Finally you’re quiet.” I saw Toothless in a cage, barking at the monster of a man, Drago.

“Move!” Eret pushed me from my shoulder and forced me to look forward. I noticed that one of the dogs was following us. I swallowed the lumpy feeling on my throat. I have a bad feeling about this. “Listen, I noticed that he treated you badly. Why won’t you leave his gang?” My voice shivered while I spoke. He didn’t respond.

Suddenly he stopped and turned around, his gaze was threatening. He pushed me backwards once, then twice and finally with two hands he took my balance. I fell on my butt to ground. It hurt when my back hit against a tree at the same time. From his pocket he took out some rope which he used to tie me onto that tree.

“Please, don’t,” I whispered and tried to make eye contact. Few tears ran on my cheeks and then dropped to my shirt leaving a stain. He didn’t look at me, he just turned around. “Time to a feast,” he told to the dog coldly. My heart was pounding like crazy now, almost trying to jump out of my chest. “No!” I screamed while I watched Eret running away.

I was now staring at the brown dog, eye to eye. “N-nice d-dog,” I whispered while my voice was cracking. Slowly its mouth twitched, finally showing its white sharp teeth. It howled and then it was growling. I am feeling so afraid.  My breath was shallow when it approached me slowly, its back was stiff as it moved. Soon it would attack.

It was no use to try to free myself, I was tied down tightly. I whimpered when it licked it’s lips and growled more. Then it happened. With a bark it ran closer to me, grab my hand. It bit through my flesh, tearing me. “No! NO!” I screamed. The pain was awful.  I cried and screamed at the same time. I managed to kick it further away from me.

It attacked immediately again. Fortunately its teeth tear my dress and not my skin this time. It was pulling me from the spot where its jaw clenched together, fabric was ripping with each pull it took. “Go away!” I yelled to the dog. Jack told me to survive. I cannot let him down. I moved my body to other position and kicked it away again.

Now the dog became furious. It growled loudly and barked. It startled me and caused my heart skipping beats. This would be the end of me, the knots of the rope didn’t loosen up at all. I let him down after all. I closed my eyes when the dog slowly sneaked towards me.

POW.

A sudden crack sound echoed in the air. Something flew past me and I opened my eyes just in time to see when the dog jumped towards me.

Then the dog fell to ground and some blood drops flew on me. I watched at its dead corpse. It had a small hole on its forehead and an exit wound behind of the head. Someone just shot it. I startled when I felt someone’s hand behind of me and a cool feeling of a blade. It has to be the same person who just shot the dog, he or she is now opening the ropes.

I feel how the tight feeling releases on my hands. I am free. My head feels dizzy and I automatically squeeze the place in my arm where the dog sunk its teeth into. Before I could watch to the direction where my helper is I see a hand being offered to me.
