A/n: in this story avni becomes a writer named neilanjana after leap and mogwli is avneil's son named as neev khanna. So he will be neev in my story. And this story is when Neil takes the court's order to make a day out with his son and spend some quality time with him. And neev is in khanna mansion now and day break starts. And haan neev is 6 years old. But little mature as his mom is a writer😉.

Neil: (seeing neev stretching himself in bed) good morning beta.

Neev slowly opens his eyes and immediately misses his mom there. He recognises that he is in his dad's bedroom sleeping.

Neev:(slowly smiling) good morning dad.

Saying so he gets up slowly while Neil goes near him and makes him sit on his lap.

Neev: if mamma was there she would have given me a morning kiss and woke me up.

Neev says in a sad tone. Neil's smile drops.

Neil immediately kisses his cheeks.

Neil: ab chalega??

He asks....

Neev: that would have been more better when I was about to get up. I wonder how mom correctly knows that I am about to wake up and gives kiss perfectly and it would be my first record for the day.

Neil could only smile on their bond. I will soon make a bond with u my son he thought himself.

Neil: okay neev get up. Let's get ready for school.

Neil takes neev to washroom and takes his brush and places the paste on it. Then carries his tiger and makes him brush.

Neev: dad I will like to do it myself. Mamma says That's the best way to learn.

Neil drops neev and stands near him so that he can do it all by himself.

Neil: but neev I will stand by u. I don't want to even waste a second by staying away from u.

Neev smiles and Neil smiles seeing him smile.

While brushing neev chokes himself as the amount of paste Neil has put is too much for his tiny mouth.

Neil: (seeing neev choke) beta dhyan sae.....do it slowly. That's why papa offered u help.

Neev: par dad. The amount of paste is too much for me. If mumma was there she would have done it carefully.

Neil again gets sad.

Neil: Okay beta. Dad will take care of it next time. Promise.

Neev smiles.

Neeev: it's OK papa. Am okay right.

Neil: achaa now get ready to bath. U r getting late for school na.

Neev:haan.

Neil made all the necessary arrangements and started to step away.

Neev: papa will u bath me 2day if u r not busy.. neev says slowly seeing his dad leave...

Neil: areee....of course i am not busy par beta I thought u would like to do ur work in ur own.

Neev: yeah papa. But I used to take long time to Bath when I do it all myself. Thats why always mumma makes me bath during school times.

Neil now again felt dejected.

"Neev is totally ajooba. Avni has bought him up just like her. Complete mystery. Kabhi ye chahiyae tho kabhi vo. This boy is totally confusing me."
Neil thinks in his mind.

Neev: papa I am getting late shall we start.

Neil came out of his trace.

Neil: haan haan come on let's go.

After bathing.....

Neev stands in his towel and hands on hip and Neil is ironing neev's shirt due to his last minute demand as he would always were ironed shirts.

Neev: papa u didn't do this before itself. If mumma was there na she would have done it before itself.

Neil: I am sorry neev. I totally didn't expect u to have such demands.

All this time mithali didn't even arrive at khanna mansion. Neil has asked her to reach there early itself as according to Neil he wants neev to get practiced with mithali and accept her as his mother😏.

Neil made neev wear his dresses and packs his school things.

Neil: shall we go tiger.

Neev: haan papa.

Neev holds neil's hand and Neil wears neev's bag on his shoulders and started to step out. They went to dining table to do heir break fast and leave.

When they sat on the table after making neev sit on his chair comfortably mithali pops out from kitchen.

Mitali: surprise!!!!! She exclaimed accompanied by sweetha as both were carrying the food tray.

Neil: mithali when did u come.

Sweeta: she came long time before and was helping me in kitchen to make special beakfast for neev....

Sweeta says and pulls neev cheeks while neev just places a smile.

All plasters a smile as prakash uncle and bebe never supported neil's this decision of marrying mithali.

Bebe: neev tho very silent boy hai!!kuch tho bath kar beta sabsae.

Neev: mumma says we should never speak in places where our words may only hurt them.

Bebe looks at him confused now.

Bebe: oyee....now why do u think that u r words will only hurt us Haa. Bebe asked in a confused manner.

Neil drops his spoon and turns 90 degree towards neev to listen his answer. He was clearly sad.

Neev: because I don't like this aunty as she always try to get closer to my dad and me. She wants to take my mumma place. And so I don't like her. And mumma says that we should never hate a person even though they do things which we don't like. We just have to control our words so that we can avoid hurting them.

Mithali and sweeta's smile vanished as neev's answer. Bebe Neil and prakash were already not smiling so no change in their face expression.

Prakash uncle noticed the pale expressions on neil's face.

Prakash uncle senses the tension for what neev has spoken.

Prakash: achaa ....let's discuss these afterwards now neev is getting late to school so better let's serve him his food. What's say bebe. Sweeta give neev his favorite alooparathe.

Prakash uncle said the last line in a little ordering tone which made neev chuckle.

Children easy get diverted in topics but for elders it's not their cup of tea. Neil was sad thinking about neev's words. He was wondering weather his decision of marrying mitali a right one. But his ego was too bigger than his brain that it easily suppressed his thinking capacity.

Mitali ignored all and came near neev to serve his patatae. Though bebe wants to stop mithali she didn't do that because she wanted to see neev's reaction.

When the parathas served...

Neev's eyes popped up and was looking at the parathas as some 8th wonder of the world. As if he has never seen something such big on his plate.

Neil: neev do u want me to feed u..
Neil asked affectionately seeing neev staring at parathas without eating.

Neev: nahi papa. I am not used to such a big parathas na that's why I am wondering. Do we have such big parathas also. He asked ravishingly in a childish tone making Neil chuckle.

Neil: u are saying in such a tone that u have never seen such a big parathas before.

Neev: nahi papa. I haven't seen such a bigger ones.

Neil: then how do the parathas look like.

Neev: smaller. I usually like smaller things hence mumma makes mini parathas for me whenever I demand for parathas. I was not used to such a big one. If mumma was there na she would have made smaller parathas for me to eat.

Neil again felt sad. Why does neev want to relate everything with what his mumma does. He is now hell worried.

Bebe couldn't see this anymore.

Bebe: achaa......then I will help u to eat small pieces. Okay. Give me the plate I will cut those in small pieces so that my neev bacha could eat it.

Saying so bebe helped neev to eat it

Actually it was mithali who made parathas. So she got angry with the taunt of neev though he didn't say in a complaining tone mithali took it so.

Neil noticed mithali moving angrily but doesn't go to pacify her. Sweeta goes to mithali to console her.

After finishing the food Neil carries neev and takes him to school....

*at school*

Neev: bye papa...

Neil: bye tiger.....

Neev gestures Neil to bend down. Neil looks at him confusing way and bends down.

Neev: papa say those magical words which mumma used to say daily when I go to school.

Neil was now hell confused. Neev is getting more difficult than the upsce exam. Now how do I know what avni says when she drops him to school.

Neil makes puppy face to neev as if he is standing in front of his strict teacher waiting for detention.

Neil: papa doesn't know that beta.

Neev: ofoooo papa....u don't even know this. If mumma was there she would have said that. .

Saying this neev ran away. And Neil was now hell confused. How do he think that I am supposed to know what his mumma says to him. He is total tubelight......... avni has made my son a tubelight just like her. He frowns now.

*evening Neil picks neev at correct time and comes home*

While entering the house.

Neev: u know something papa

Neil: haan what??

Neev: this is the only thing u have done properly just like how mumma used to do.

Neil was now happy... finally his son has started to appreciate his work.

Neil: achaa....so let's do party for this happy gesture.

Neev: party!!!!

Neev was hell happy now.

Neil makes neev to fresh up and change his dress. He did each and every things carefully as if he is doing the task of the reality shows.

After completing their boys work they come down.

Neil carries neev all the time when he was heading to kitchen. He was so obsessed with neev that he didn't even let others some time to play with neev and mithali who was all the time in the home got 0% attention from Neil the whole day as he was busy with something or other related to neev.

Neil placed neev on kitchen counter and went to the fridge to take ice-cream. Neev yells in excitement seeing ice-cream..

Neev: wow daddy....ice creams!!!!.....

Neil: areee waah...now u r not saying ur 'if mummy was there she would have' dialogue.

Neev: of course na.....if mummy was there she would never have given me ice cream in this time of the day opssss I mean night.

Neil laughs out loud with is confession.

Neil: so u agree that u r restricted to ice cream at this time of the day opssss i mean night😉...

Neev: dady....but I need it....

Neil: so say ur papa is the best....

Neev frowns....

Neev: stop asking bribe to ur own son dad.

Neil: every thing is fair in war and ice creams.

Neev: achaa.....I surrender....u r the best...

Neil chuckles now seeing his craze for ice creams.

He gives his scope cup to neev....

After taking them from Neil he gets down the counter and runs not before saying this....

Neev: par mumma is the bestest.

Before Neil could react neev ran away all way giggling.

Neil laughs now. He is truly laughing after a long time seeing the antics of his own son.

*bed time*

After a lot of pamper from all the house members neev saw the time and demanded that gets needs to sleep as his mumma says that it is the sleeping time...

Hearing neev saying so Neil rolls his eyes.

"Did avni rise a child or gave a military training. She is just impossible." Neil thought...

Neil: achaa neev.....u go with mithali aunty to the room papa will take the milk glass for u. Ohkay.....

Hearing the word milk neev made a fraught face.......

He obediently went to the bedroom with mithali. All this while mithali tried to speak some random stuffs to neev but neeev ignores her as a pro.

*at bed*

When neil was entering the room Neev is lying down while mithali sits on side patting neev to make him sleep.

Neev: I wanna listen to story before sleeping.

Mithali: achaa..now I will narrate u a princess and frog story.

neev: nope.....mumma always makes me listen to inspiring stories so that I get some good values at the end of the day.

Neil places the milk tray on the table and goes to other slide of the bed as one side is occupied by mithali already.

Neil: par neev we don't know any such stories na. Today u adjust with the story mithali says.

Mithali gets angry.

"What does he mean adjusting with my stories😏"mithali thinks.

Mithali: Neil I am leaving as it's too late now. U handle him. By the way he is too demanding.

Neil in return gets angry.

Neil: ohkay if u can't manage then leave us mithali I will handle neev myself.

Saying so mithali storms out of the room.

What kind of girl is she. Do sent she know that children always be demanding. And haan she is nothing compared to avni. The way she looked after mishti even after such commotions. Avni is the most purest. Then Neil recognises what he is thinking and immediately ignores that though what his brain unknowingly wants to say to him. Thanks to his ego.

Neil: neev I will video call ur mother. That's the only solution.

Neev: it's okay papa. I am gonna meet her 2morrow right.

Neil:that means u don't want to stay with Papa.

Neil is as again as if he is getting mood swings. Though he knows clearly that neev will go to avni 2morrow he doesn't want him to go.

Neev: I love u both actually. But I can't manage without mumma.

Neil calls avni for neev but secretively he too wants to see her.

Whereas avni is in her room crying as neev is not there with him today while sleeping. She receives neil's video call...

Avni: Neil ka call vo bhi this time.

Attends the call to see neil smiling lightly. Avni returns back the smile. Her eyes immediately searched for neev....

Neil turned the camera towards neev as if he read avni's thought as a clear mirror. Neev smiles widely seeing avni.

Neev: mumma!!!!!

Avni: neev.....mumma missed u so much. Kya kar rahi ho....how was u r day.

Neev: all fine maa. My day was incomplete without ur voice. How r u......u know I missed u so much mumma....wanna see u soon...

Avni: (with slight tears) and mumma missed u more bachaa....

Neev: mumma dad all ed u for stories.

Avni looked at Neil while he blinked in assurance.

Avni: achaa....then shall we start.....saying so avni started to say a story...

Both neev and neil were lying on the bed listening keenly to what avni was narrating as an obedient audiences with Neil holding the phone.

Avni: and so the moral is no matter what so ever the life gives us we should always live our life....

Avni smiles seeing neev already slept and Neil in half sleep as if he is awake other to hold the phone.

Avni: Neil u sleep now u r so tired. I guess neev has troubled u a lot the whole day.

Neil: nahi avni. He was so obedient amp kind to all. U really thought him so well. He is the well behaving goody goody bachaa.....

Avni smiled at this compliment.

Avni: okay....now sleep.

Neil: avni one question....what is the word u say when dropping neev to school...

Avmi: why??? did he say something???

Neil: just answer naa.....please.....

Avni hesitates a little and speaks up.

Avni: "neev u r the best and mumma and papa will always love u....."this is what I say from the first day of school to neev.

Neil was now surprised. Here he is trying to snatch neev from avni whereas avni has kept him alive in every simple convos she shared with neev.....

Avni: good night Neil.....she said and hung the call as she couldn't suppress her urging tears seeing Neil.

"Ur mother is indeed the bestest neev and I will get my happiness back only if ur mumma is here....."
