The Gods watch as the hunger

Tears throughout the land

Enveloping everything in darkness

Slashing through people like knives

Taking away the lungs' breath

Leaving nothing in its wake

I watch people quake in the wake

Their sunken eyes mad with the hunger

Panting and snarling with foul breath

Not caring as they destroy their own land

Removing their deadly knives

Bringing death to those who oppose them with sweeping darkness

The night brings unholy darkness

The sky alight in the maddening wake

Lightening crashing, piercing with accuracy like knives

The people's hunger

Leeching sustenance from the land

Leaving it no breath

And the corpses pile up without breath

The killer's eyes filling with darkness

Their horrid ideas sweeping throughout the land

Trees, grass, buildings, people bending in the wake

While the hunger

Builds further, enlarging the knives

And then they sweep down and attack with the knives

Their sharp, deadly point popping breath

And their bodies no longer yearning with hunger

But then it comes back, filling them with blackness

Their twisted bodies shaking in the hatred's wake

As they run rampant through the land

And it shakes, the land

As the blood trickles from the knives

The only thing left in the murderous wake

For not a chest moves with breath

Because the evil blackness

Has got them, eating to fill its hunger

And the hunger that rips the land

Covering it in deadly blackness that pierces the light with knives

Will be stopped when the last breath has breathed and there will be nothing left in the murder's wake
