Sorry for any mistakes, rushed this chapter quite a bit so I can post it, I'll reread it tomorrow so I'll correct all of the mistakes

Muichiro's pov

Yesterday.. when Mitsuri visited me in the evening.. she brought very bad news to me.. she didn't stay for long.. maybe for like a minute or two but all she said was "I don't have much time to talk but, tomorrow they will do pain tolerance tests.. you need to act like nothing hurts even if it will, understand?"

I was anxiously sitting on my bed, unable to calm down, my hands couldn't stop shaking. When I heard faint footsteps, my heart just stopped for a second.

What if it'll hurt and I won't be able to keep the act? Will they really kill me when I don't pass the tests?

All those questions were circling my mind uncontrollably, I couldn't help but stress every second I was here, my stomach was hurting from all the stress, I haven't eaten anything for three days because of it.

…

Soon after, I began to hear footsteps that were getting closer and closer to my room. I knew what was about to happen, I didn't want to.. I didn't want to go with them..

I just wrapped my arms around my body and sobbed, knowing that hiding has no point now.. I know what will happen and all I will have to focus on is.. getting through the test without any problems.. even if I feel the pain.

The door opened and two guys walked in, immediately pushing me off of bed and grabbing me by my neck "you know where to go, hurry up!" He yelled out and I nodded, quickly walking out of the room.

I looked around anxiously, seeing more people taking more test subjects out of each room. There were so many of us even if multiple died.. why are they doing this.. why are they treating these poor people this way and turning them into monsters..

I was taken to a room together with four more test subjects. They sat us down and strapped us to the chair.

I looked around, my eyes widening when I saw Mitsuri and Shinobu in the room. Mitsuri walked over to me and whispered "you'll do great, I am here, okay? If anything goes wrong, I'll help you" she said quietly and walked back towards Shinobu who immediately wrapped her arms around her.

Out of nowhere, I heard a loud scream from one of the test subjects. When I looked at them, their whole mail was ripped off. "This one didn't pass the test.." one of the guys said and turned to one of the guards "you know what to do"

He nodded and pointed a gun at her. "N-No please! I-I ca-" was all she could say before a bullet shot right through her forehead, her limb body leaning against the chair, a small trail of blood slowly leaking out of the wound.

Before I could even recover from what I just saw, I felt something around my finger. I looked at it and saw them wrapping the same device on my hand just like on the other test subject.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. Soon after I felt a sharp pain shot through my fingers, soon spreading through my whole body. I bit my lip and tried to keep myself calm but it was hard, extremely hard.

I opened my eyes and looked at my trembling hand, seeing that my whole fingernail got ripped off. A sudden wave of nausea washed over me as I stared at my bloody finger. The pain was overwhelming and combined with the nausea, I felt like I was gonna pass out.

"Do his other hand.. I am not sure if he's faking it" one of the doctors said and the other nodded, moving the device from my right hand to my left hand.

I closed my eyes once again and prepared for another wave of pain which came sooner than I expected. I tried my best not to react once again but it was hard, the pain was just too much. I felt tears of pain well up in my eyes.

I tried to quickly blink them away, this time refusing to look at my finger, knowing damn well that that would just make me feel worse.

"Okay, I think he passed, take him back to his room, we'll decide tomorrow on what we will do to him next" the doctor said and another nodded, taking the device off of my hand and pushing me onto my legs before leading me out of the room.

"I'll take him there!" I heard Mitsuri say and she took me away from him "you sure? You know where his room is?" He asked and Mitsuri nodded "mhm! Don't worry about it, let's then meet up in the cafeteria, no? Have a coffee together again"

The guy smiled and nodded "sounds great, thanks for taking him there"

After he walked away, Mitsuri took me to my room. Once we got there, she sat me down on my bed and took bandages out of her pocket, gently taking my hand and cleaning the blood first before bandaging it gently.

"Alright, did you feel any pain? Did it work?" She asked quickly and I shook my head, looking down at my lap sadly "N-No.. it didn't.. it hurted like hell.. it's better now though, thank you.."

"Okay.. at least they didn't realize.. there might be more tests.. I don't know yet but it's pretty late so there probably won't be any today" she said and hugged me tightly "tomorrow they will talk about what they will do next.. we don't have much time.. I know that.. but I will get us out of here, okay? I won't let them hurt you anymore.. I just have to figure out how we will get past the guards"

I nodded and wrapped my arms around her as well "o-okay.." I mumbled quietly and we continued to hold each other like that for a while until we got interrupted by someone opening the door.

We quickly pulled away from each other before seeing Shinobu walk in "what's taking you so long.." she said blankly and pulled Mitsuri by her arm "let's go.."

Right after, they left. I was worried about Misturi.. What if she gets caught..? What if she fails..? I can't do anything.. I can't help her.. please Mitsuri just.. do your best and get us out of here.

Mitsuri's pov

Shinobu dragged me outside and pushed me against a wall, saying "why are you being like this?! What are you planning?! You said you go against them and want to be with me!! And yet you are all friendly with Muichiro!" She yelled out with tears sliding down her cheeks.

"Shit.. she's suspecting something.." I thought to myself and cupped her cheeks, saying "Shinobu.. no.. I am not planning anything, I promise.. it's just hard to get over it, okay..? I might go against them but they were still my friends a couple days ago.." I pulled her into a hug 'don't worry, I'll always be by your side, okay?"

She nodded and buried her face into my shoulder. I had enough of her, I wanted to push her away so badly and tell her how much I hate her, how much I hate her for killing Obanai, going against us and letting Muichiro get hurt like this!

I had to find out how to get out now or tomorrow, if I don't, who knows what will happen to Muichiro.. who knows what will happen to all of us.

"Hey Shinobu.. how about we go to our room, talk about this and then grab something to eat, hm? I think that's what we need right now" I said with a kind voice. As much as I wanted to yell at her, I knew I couldn't.

She smiled and took my hand "m-mhm.. I'd like that.. let's go"

Next day

I was walking around in panic, trying to find any way we could escape by and not attract many guards around us but it seemed impossible, they were everywhere.. and I was worried that we would just have to risk it and make a run for it.

Everyone was in the meeting room now so I had a chance to explore it everywhere without worrying about anyone interrupting me.

The first place I checked was the one where we all got captured the first time we got here. It was clear that someone was controlling this place all the time, every time they sensed that someone or something was being a danger to them, they locked up the room and put gas in, just time with us.

And I knew who that person was.. and I knew that they were the ones I had to get rid of first if I wanted us to escape. With them gone, I could go into any room without worrying about getting locked up.

But I had to wait until tomorrow when he were all ready to escape. I had almost everything, the way how to get outside, people I needed to get rid of and how to get everyone out of the rooms they are locked in but.. there were still a bunch of guards I had no idea how to get rid off.

Unless.. I take advantage of the gas.. I could lead everyone into one room and then lock the guards in the others so they couldn't get out and eventually make them pass out.

I was confident with my plan, I had to be confident! I couldn't let us die.. no, I can't let that happen, and if someone will have to die.. it'll be me.. no one else!

I tried to think of something else.. something that could ruin the whole plan but I couldn't think of anything.. I just hoped that everything would go well, that my plan will work like it's supposed to and no one will get hurt.. but as always.. when I finally have at least a tiny bit of hope.. it would disappear really.. really fast and this time.. it wasn't any different.

Next day

I have started my plan, I had to first get rid of the people who were controlling the whole place here.. and I finally found them. "Daki! I finally found you!" I said excitedly and Daki smiled at me "hey, need anything?" She asked with a smile and I nodded.

"So I was wondering if you could show me the little controlling room, I am interested in stuff like that and I thought that I could maybe help you, and you could get a break?" I lied, hoping she'll say yes.

"Well of course! Just wait for me here, I need to get this to my brother so he's not complaining about me lacking again" she chuckled and carried a small plastic box with all kinds of different liquids towards another room.

My plan is going well so far.. but I had to hurry up before they'd do something to Muichiro.. that was the thing I feared the most.. that everyone would escape but Muichiro won't.. because I was too slow.

"Alright, let's go!" Daki said which made me snap out of my thoughts. I quickly nodded and followed behind her. I touched my pocket, making sure that I had everything I needed which was a needle with propofol and duct tape.

Once we got to the room, I closed the door behind us and immediately took the needle out of my pocket, quickly getting behind Daki, covering her mouth and injecting it right into her neck.

She tried to resist at first, pulling my hand away from her mouth, kicking me and scratching me but without any success. Later on she just stopped resisting and dropped on the floor.

I took out the duct tape, taping her mouth, legs and arms so she couldn't escape or scream for help when she woke up. I shoved her behind a couple boxes full of other electronic devices so no one could see her.

I then moved on to my computer and looked at each and every camera, trying to figure out where I should lead the guards and later lock them there. One room was perfect for that and I already knew how I would continue next.

On the last camera, there was a view into one of the destroyed rooms from one of the failed experiments.. them I remembered what Shinobu said "if something happens in that room, there's a high possibility that this whole place will collapse.. or at least most of it"

At that moment, I knew what I had to do to stop all of this. I had to do something in that room, make this whole place collapse.
