We Are Wanderers

We are wanderers,
Without even a home,
Trapped on the earth,
Might as well explore this dome.
You can call it wanderlust,
I call it finding something new,
Traveling the whole world,
Searching for a piece of you.
But if we were to find it,
Would we know its what we need?
Would we cradle it in our arms,
And call it a piece of me?
Or would we keep moving on,
Leave it at some small airport,
And continue an empty mission,
That our minds try to distort?
All around the world,
Everyone is searching for something,
And I can name quite a few,
But it might not be your one thing.
Are you searching for love,
In the colorful cities and each busy street,
Are you searching for peace,
Walking until you can't stand on your feet?
Are you searching for a reason,
Why we are on this earth,
Or perhaps some justification,
A way to prove your own worth?
Maybe you're searching for air,
Trying to breath in the cold mountain heights,
Or maybe simply some new memories,
A camera to fill with some new sights?
I can't make any promises,
But you will never again see the world as bleak,
And after seeing mountains, cities, and islands,
I hope you and I find what we seek.
