You tore down my every wall,
and told me to let you in,
said once my defenses fall,
I won't ever need to put them up again.
But you took the bricks I had used,
and kept them for your own,
stacked them high in the air,
and with them made a throne.
I was left defenseless,
as your arrows pierced me through and through,
barely glanced outside your castle window,
because who am I to you?
With my walls of bricks and stones destroyed,
and my heart open to all you made me feel,
I decided it was time,
to build up walls of steel.
