Colorblind
When I met you,
My life overflowed with color and rhyme,
Every shade I had never imagined,
You gave me when you were mine.
But you had yet to warn me,
Because my heart wouldn't listen to my mind,
You showed me beauty and reason and purpose,
And it left me colorblind.
Hey guys, thanks for reading once again! I'll probably be posting a bit more often, would that bother you guys??? Originally I was going to make this poem the centerpiece in a new chapbook revolving around color, but decided not to so I will probably be posting a few poems that I had written with a similar theme... tell me what you think in the comments!
P.S, this is Day and Night's 50th poem!!!
