A Fire's Melody

It burns and it burns,
But you can't feel a thing,
Dancing to the melody,
And wishing you could sing.
The flames dance with you,
And you see yourself in them,
They burn to light the night,
You burn because of him.
And he is like the trees,
The ones your flames burned down,
And he is the cold winter air,
That blew your ashes from the ground.
All around you is the proof,
And nature sings along,
He is the words, you are the music,
To life's oldest song.
