Epilogue

"James and Cara!" Danica yelled as she pulled the turkey out of the oven, placing it on a counter nearby. "You two better get your butts down here this instant!" She shouted as she closed the oven, picking up the phone, which had been ringing.

"Mummy, James broke my doll!" Cara cried as she ran into the kitchen.

"I'll get back to you, Cara," she explained as she began to talk to her mother on the phone, turning around to see James approaching the hot oven. "James! Get away from there!" She screamed, running to him to pull him away.

"Are the kids being a handful?" Her mother asked over the phone, chuckling a bit.

"Yes, Mum. Honestly, now I know why you decided to only have one!" Dan sighed earning another chuckle from her mother.

"Your father and I are on our way, okay? Stay put."

"Yes, Mum. Hurry please." She giggled before hanging up. Danica sighed before turning to look at her two children who were currently arguing over which part of the turkey they wanted. "For goodness' sake, you two! There's a whole turkey for us to share! Now, who clogged the sink?" The two exchanged glances before pointing at each other. "Come on! Just confess! Who did it?!" She screamed again, interrupted by the doorbell. With a sigh, she headed to the door revealing Tiffany and Changbin.

"Oh, thank goodness you two are here! I thought I'd die!" Danny exclaimed, granting them access before leading Tiff to the kitchen, Changbin looking for Jisung.

"So, how have James and Cara been?" Changbin's wife asked as they entered the kitchen to reveal both of them in tears. Danica huffed before grabbing two tissues and pulling them into a hug.

"Sorry for shouting," she apologised. "You must understand how frustrated I am."

"But it's Christmas," Cara sobbed as she pouted at her mother.

"Yes, I know, dear. Unfortunately for me, Christmas is always like this."

"I'll make sure it isn't anymore," Cara smiled before running off with her older brother.

"So," Tiffany chuckled. "same as always, I see." Dan rolled her eyes playfully as she walked to her friend's side.

"May I just say, life is perfect!" She uttered sarcastically. "Sometimes I wish I was infertile like you."

Tiff chuckled, "Changbin and I are planning on adopting."

"What? Really? That's awesome."

"Yeah, but we are thinking of adopting a potty-trained toddler. I'm not about the nappy or sleepless night life."

"Why didn't we have this conversation before I became pregnant?" The doorbell went again, revealing Chris and Brooke at the door with their fifteen-year-old son, eleven-year-old daughter and eight-year-old twins, one a boy and the other a girl.

"Is the kitchen the lady's corner?" Brooke teased as she entered the kitchen, standing beside the duo as they sipped on glasses of wine.

"How's the teen?" Tiffany asked, motioning to Aaron, their oldest child.

"As moody as ever," she revealed with a loud sigh. "I must say, this year as been a heck of a year. I deserve this glass of wine."

"At least you get sleep," Danica huffed, reflection on all her sleepless nights. Jisung had tried to help her out multiple of times and help the children when then they needed it, especially Nick, their four-month-old son. However, they all seemed to prefer Dan over him when it came to cases like that.

"Don't worry, Danny, those days will be over before you know it." Danica sighed.

"I hope so."

Dinner went well...actually not so much. Evan and Jane, Chris and Brooke's teens constantly fought. The same case applied for Cara and James. Aaron wore his headphones throughout the whole dinner. Nick cried majority of the time and Sarah, Chris and Brooke's eldest daughter texted the whole time.

It was a disaster but to be completely honest, that was every Christmas for them. Something always went wrong.

Now, Danica stood in the kitchen sipping on her fifth glass of wine, trying to drown her stress in the beverage without avail.

"Danny?" Jisung called as he stood at the doorway.

"Mmh?" she simply responded, too tired to speak.

"I have something to show you."

"Can it wait? I'm absolutely shattered."

"I swear it will be worth it." Dan cocked an eyebrow at him before exhaling loudly.

"It better be." With that, she placed her wine glass on the kitchen counter, following her husband to his underground base.

As soon as the elevator doors opened, her eyes widened. The room in front of her was exactly the same as the one Jisung had taken her to after they killed all the alien in the diner. The one that had mesmerised her.

"Jisung, this is-"

"That's not all." He led her to a door and opened it for her. It resembled the diner. He led her to another door. It resembled the dry terrain, where they had first semi-confesssed their feeling for each other. Yet another door hid a room which resembled a forest. A room on the right resembled his aunt's cottage. Another room resembled the violet field. The last door was the one Jisung actually allowed her to enter. It resembled the centre of the main UFO.

She went down the stairs, stopping right in front of the stand.

"Jisung," she uttered, her eyes watery at the fact she had forgotten everything due to the stress of motherhood.

"Remember how we were in the main UFO fighting against the Emperor? Remember how he had tackled me and was on the verge of killing me? Remember how you bravely challenged him? And do you remember how you told me that we'd get married, have kids and grow old together?" Danny smiled.

"How could I forget?"

"I love you, Danica and I'm sorry that I can't help you with the kids but I'm trying. I want to fulfil your statement. We've completed two and only have one left. Promise me we'll grow old together?" She pecked his lips.

"Of course!"

"Thanks, Danica...oh! One last thing," he pulled a box out of his pocket, gesturing for her to turn around and close her eyes before she felt a cold object decorate her neck. "Open your eyes." She did as she was told, looking down to see an emerald gem laying on her chest.

"Jisung, I-" She exclaimed in excitement, turning around to see him smiling sheepishly as he rubbed his nape.

"It isn't the real thing but-"

"It's perfect."
