"No! Never!" Otterdawn cried out. Darksight was a very nice cat, but she escaped from the rogues that she was born into - and now Specklestar wants to kill her?!

Specklestar glared at her. "You don't know these rogues. They tortured us. They starved us. And that cat..." She flicked her tail angrily at Darksight, "was part of the rogues."

Duskrose hissed at Specklestar, "She is kind-hearted! She hated the rogues. They were also torturing her, even though she was born in the rogue clan-"

"Rogue blood!" Specklestar yowled, lunging forwards and slashing at Darksight.

Otterdawn felt panic rising. Today was supposed to be the day of travel and journey, so they have to save their energy for their journey, not spend it fighting!

She closed her eyes, murmuring, and reopened them. Her eyes were rimmed with purple light, and she felt power surge within her.  "Stop!" She screeched, using her mind to lift Specklestar off the ground. "We're supposed to go on a journey! If we want to go on a journey, let's hurry up and go!"

Specklestar gasped as she saw how high she was from the ground, but she hissed back, "That cat can't go!"

Duskrose snarled, "she can go. She just has to prove herself." 

Lightningstorm, Specklestar's deputy, roared, "let Specklestar down!" He lunged forwards and tried to grab Specklestar.

Otterdawn sighed and lowered Specklestar to the ground. Specklestar's eyes were round and nervous. 

Specklestar sighed, almost tired, "let's go. We have to get away from these rogues."

"Ready?" Dawnstar asked every cat. Every cat answered her with a "YES!".

"Well? Let's go." Dawnstar turned around and lead every cat to the path where the sunlight hits.

As they left, leaving many small shadows on the ground, a bush shuddered and shook. Darksight turned around, coming over to the bush to check, but with a slicing sound, silver teeth took her down with a growl and tugged her into the bush.
