Alice Humphrey:

Well hello again lovely people it's your favorite person. Yeah maybe I'm not your favorite but a girl can dream. I still haven't had a shower but that's for another day when New Rome isn't under the thumb of homicidal Preators. Anyway let's get into the newest and dumbest decisions of my life.

First POV:
Never save strangers has now been reiterated into my book of does and don'ts. Doe eyed and red head ditched me as soon as they got into the sewers. Leaving me lying on the wet and cold ground soaking up muck. If you can't tell I am bitter and cold.
"Last time your getting a heroic act out of me." I mutter picking myself up. I'd been on the ground for some time. Looking around with no sense of direction I start to wander around. Soon I stumbled upon a chamber filled to the brim with other people.

Third POV:
Now Alice stood in a chamber surrounded by a group of just as disgruntled escapees. Among the peasants stood two glowing figures. The Grace's two siblings as different but as radiant as the sun and moon. They basically graced us all with their presence. They stood surrounded by everyone as they gave a a recap of what happened. Which if Alice was honest she could care less about. After all it was irrelavant since she just wanted to go home.
Which seemed like an impossible feat at the moment. Though it wasn't the icing on the cake Doe eyed and red head were there as well. She didn't know if they noticed but she was glaring at them. But back to the thing at hand the valiant heros were now being bombarded by people who wanted to help. One guy still had his kid in his arms wanting to stay. Which Alice thought was a horrible thing to do.

'Think about your kid man will she survive this shit show.' Alice thought shaking her head

Alice now sat to the side bag beside her eyes closed. To sum things up the smart people left idiots stayed.

'I'm an idiot' she thought

"Hey smelly you awake" a feminine voice asks from above her

"Be nice" a deep but kind voice called

"Well sleeping beauty I have a proposition for you, so wake your butt up" she said ignoring the other person and kicking Alice's leg.

Looking up Alice eyed the three people standing in front of her. From her observations she gave each of them a nickname. Flower Child, Dwarf, and Kassandra. The last one was just great since she actually carried herself like the character. She probably was just as full Hardy as well.

"So what's your proposition" Alice asked

"Well—" she was interupted by the Dwarf

"Do you want to join our group on the mission?" He asked. Alice didn't have time to respond as she was cut off by Kassandra.

"Why did you interupt me Cameron." She exclaimed.

"You were going to say something rude and we both know it." Cameron stated without taking his gaze off of Alice. Who was now giving the group her full attention. When he didn't get an response he smiled. Now waiting for Alice's answer.

"Okay." Alice said while getting up to glance at each of the members.

"There we have all four of our members we can now start." He said turning to Kassandra

"Good now we can head out and actually do something." She replies

"Hold on can I get names with the faces please." Alice interupted

"Oh where are my manners sleeping beauty I'm Julia." She motioned to Cameron

"As you've heard me say this is Cameron" she continues

"And finally that's Mark he doesn't say much." She finishes waiting for Alice to do the same

"Alice." She responds

"Good now we can leave" she says walking away Mark following close behind.

"Don't worry about her she just thinks all new people are idiots not worth the time of day" he stopped realizing what he'd just said rushing to fix it he went on to say "Not that your an idiot or—".

"Relax." She stated following after the other two.

Centuries walked around leisurely armed to the teeth. Gas mask protecting them from the smoke. Ash floated through the air like snow as they snuck around them. Alice followed hand clamped over a wet cloth. Shed suggested this Mark had a coughing fit.

"Have you spotted anyone?" She asked voice muffled. Mark who stood next to her shook his head no before looking around again. Walking a bit faster she caught up to Cameron and Julia who were.

"Should we split up or stick together?" Cameron suggested

"I say stay together the Centuries are well armed and it doesn't seem safe to go alone." Julia answered simply

"May I interject?" Alice asked waiting for one of them to acknowledge her. Only receiving a nod and a glare from Julia.

"Julia has the right idea—"

"Thank you" Said person interupted

"Butt we lose time and ground her way but it's also dangerous your way. " She continued. At this point they had stopped walking and now stood behind the skeleton of a building.

"I can see that but I must reiterate safety in numbers." Cameron pauses

"How about this let's still split up but in pairs." Alice suggests before continuing

"Then it'll be a win for all." She waits for the others answers

"I'm good with that." Cameron answers
Julia simply huffs while nodding. Mark just shrugged like he didn't care.

"Then let's split up." Julia says walking in another direction.

"Oh and guys lets meet up right here when we've found someone." Cameron and Mark nodded before they looked at each other before walking with in the other direction.

"Wow I don't even get a choice." Alice says following after Julia who was waiting a around the corner.

"So I'm with you sleeping beauty." Julia says glancing at Alice before continuing

"Yeah your with me ." She mutters in response

"Here's the deal Sleeping beauty my word is the rule got it." Julia turns standing at full height over Alice

"So if your order is to go run into a fire obey it." Alice asks getting a nod from Julia earning a grown from Alice.

"Fat chance" she growls Julia glares down at Alice

"I am your leader you will do what I say!" She exclaimed

"Fuck no!" Alice yells back before taking a breath and continuing

"Look Julia don't —" she was cut off

"Who's there." A voice calls as light approaches their spot

"Shit come on" Julia grabs Alice and drags her in the other direction

Even though the voice didn't pursue them they'd run a good distance away. Out of breathe and legs weak Alice was ready to drop. Julia glanced behind at her before tugging her forward and over towards the remains of another house. Once they'd finally stopped Alice dropped like a rag doll taking in deep breathes. Her companion seemed unphased by their sprint.

"Come on get up we have to find survivors." She dragged Alice to her feet again.

"Ye okay" Alice breathed out walking past her. Julia grabbed her again by the arm.

"Stop with the god-damn grabbin—" Julia quickly shushed her before walking towards a fallen peace of wood. Bending down she grabbed the edges. Immediately hissing and waving it around. Bending down next to her Alice pulls her bag off and searches through the bag. Pulling out a bottle of water she grabs Julia's hand and pours some water over it. Julia watched her do this eyebrow raised.

"Is this the same Sleeping Beauty who was just yelling at me before?" Julia teased

"Some things you have to get over." Alice stated before grabbing a towel and places it in her hands.

"Wrap that around your hands then lift." She says doing the same. Then placing her hands under the edge and lifting. It still stung but she gritted her teeth and pushed it above her head. Glancing at Julia she motioned towards the other piece of wood.

"A little help" she grit out Julia didn't respond she just grabbed the other piece and throwing it to the side. This went on until they saw a legs. Rushing they grabbed the last piece and lifted it up. The sight that greeted them was a surprise. A body was thrown over two children no older than four.

"I'll hold it up help them." Julia said moving so she could hold the full brunt of the piece. Nodding in response Alice crawled under and reached towards one of the children.

"Hey my name's Alice and I'm here to get you somewhere safe." She stated

"But first I need you both to crawl forward okay." She waited for a response. Not getting one she crawled further in.

"Are you guys awake." She tried again not getting a response

"Sleeping beauty not to rush you or anything but hurry!" Julia growled out. Without giving a response Alice crawled in further and grabbed hold of both children before scooting backwards. She still didn't get a response from them.

'Please for the love of the gods don't be dead.' she thought finally getting out. Placing them down she went in again and started to pull on who she assumed was the parent. Grunting she pulled harder until she had whoever clear of the wreckage before Julia dropped it with a grunt.

"Are they breathing?" She asked tentavily

"No clue." Julia answered bending down next to them and checking their pulses.

"Their breathing, well the kids are." Julia finally stated. Alice let out a breath as well before bending over the adult.

"You know if this person's dead I will freak out." She stated.

"Pray he's alive then ." Julia responded back trying to shake the kids awake.

"Okay you got this..." Alice took a deep breath and reached down under their neck. Feeling around for a pulse. Letting out a breathe she didn't know she held as she felt one.

"This one's alive." She stated grabbing the water from before and splashing it on them. Immediately causing them to shoot up and look around frantically.

"Why not just say he's alive?" Julia questioned glancing over at her not paying any attention to the guy that'd just spring up.

"Because it rude to assume one's gender." She answered dropping down next to her before helping to wake the two kids.

"Wha—" came a scratchy voice from behind them

"Welcome back, it's still a shit show." Alice replied back

"Wow and they say I'm bad." Julia says smirking at her grabbing the water bottle and splashing the kids. Both shot up as well.

"Wow this is really effective." Julia said looking down at the bottle

"Okay let's get them up on their feet and let's find the others." Alice said standing up and picking both groggy kids up leaving Julia to get the guy up.

"Alright buddy help me here" Julia said looking down at the still dazed man.

"Figures she'd leave me with the biggest one." She scoffed before smiling. Bending over to put the man's arm over her shoulder and lifting.
