PSA: before the task is explained I'd like to first apologize to the people who submitted on time and who had to wait. While some things can't be helped I expect communication if you need a time extension. I can't magically know what you need. Secondly, it's unfair to delay things so much when people who submitted early could have been refining their entries. Those with excess amounts of time to get entries in because I didn't want to cancel should have had 13's. However, as I said, I am aware of certain circumstances and I understand them. I am very lenient. All I ask is that you talk to me.

By now your candidates have returned with those they could. Injuries are being healed whether they are your own or another's. Most people flee with the escorts but some stay. A week passes by and you continue to amass a small force. A tiny resistance.
During this time, the burned faction had been restored and a massive coliseum is under construction. Children have been enrolled in schools, curfews are in place, legacies have registered, and an army is being amassed. The praetors won't stay idle for long. They will march into the mortal world without hesitation to expand an empire long ago turned isolationist.
The time for resistance is now. To strike before it's too late. Throw a kink in the plan. So, your army is dispersed throughout the sewers. You have studied maps, and you will barricade the major roads. You will hold them until death due you part.

The challenge:
Write as your candidate struggles to create a large barricade from rubble and anything they can find. They are surrounded by others joining in the cause. It's not easy, and the centurions have taken notice. They charge your barricade like blood seeking hounds. You must fend them off.

Your candidate is under one of two leaderships;

Jason Grace:
-your barricade is in the center of town and open on all sides. How it looks and it's design is up to you.
-ballista threaten to pierce through it, and new weapons of mass destruction decorate the battle field. There's no telling what they will do.
-you're surrounded on all sides but your group is well trained. They're resilient, strong, brave, and determined.
-Jason has the look of sheer electricity in his eyes. He won't go down without a fight. While he's on your side, he's a target. They will do everything to strike him down.
-your candidate must make key choices: protect their leader or defend the barricade? Attack the enemy or let them come to you? Surrender if all is lost or fight until death?

Thalia Grace:

-your barricade is backed against a series of tall crumbling buildings and rubble.
-before you is a large open street but there are ballista like nothing ever seen before. When fired the ammunition explodes. The blast is deafening, disorienting, and deadly.
-the enemy remains at a distance unsure of whether to approach or not.
-the people within and behind the barricade are clever, slim, the loose bolts and nutty kids who don't give a damn about anything anymore.
-like Jason, Thalia is a target but she isn't one to sit like a duck and wait to die. She wants a piece of the action.
-your candidate has key choices to make: provide cover fire or join her attack? Let the enemy hesitantly approach or keep them at bay and risk blowing up? Do you abandon the barricade to attack or hold it down?

Things to Consider:

-The Grace Siblings can be helpful and a hindrance. They have their own agendas too.
-Don't miss an opportunity to effectively use their characters along with your own.
-Don't forget about the bonds your character's have already established.
-Don't forget who the real enemy is. There might be more at play here than a bunch of crazy centurions. Think back to the sudden mania of the people.

Notes For Everyone:

-Know your candidate's motive. Know what drives them. How they react to certain stimulus and their little ticks. Know them like the back of your hand and use it to the full advantage.
- Make them human.
