One sunny day in Canterlot High School there was a free class period. Some students spent it in the cafeteria, others talking, others played sports and others, like a girl called Twilight Sparkle, studied in the library.

Twilight had dark, blue hair with pink and purple lines, purple coloured eyes and glasses. She was one of the top students in class. She was reading a very interesting geography book about how the Earth was made, when a red and yellow haired girl bumped into her, causing her to drop her book. The girl apologized and helped her get up. It turns out that her name was Sunset Shimmer, she was new there. They both talked about the school and about themselves, having a very nice time.

Meanwhile, a girl with pink, curly hair, blue eyes and a big smile was in the gym decorating for a party that was going to be in the afternoon. Her name was Pinkie Pie, she loved parties. Soon, lots of students decided to join her and help decorate the gym to perfection. One very well dressed girl named Rarity, came to Pinkie Pie and offered to organize a fancy dress contest for the party. Pinkie Pie said yes, and they both started doing their stuff. A while later, a herd of bunnies came rushing into the room. Everyone was shouting.

- Come back, little bunnies!- shouted a girl with light, pink hair and gorgeous, turquoise eyes, running to catch the bunnies.

Pinkie Pie and Rarity ran to help. They finally caught the bunnies and were exhausted.

- Thank you for helping- said the girl.

- You're welcome, darling- said Rarity.

- By the way, what's your name?- asked a curious Pinkie Pie.

- It's Fluttershy...- said the girl in a very low voice.

- Sorry, we can't hear you very well- Said Rarity.

- Sorry, - said the girl- it's Fluttershy.

 Oki doki loki!- shouted Pinkie Pie.

The girls immediately went back to decorating.

While that happened, two very athletic girls were wrestling to prove which one was stronger.

A rainbow haired girl seemed to be winning, but her opponent, a girl with orange hair, wasn't giving up.

-Rainbow, Rainbow, Rainbow!- shouted a group of girls that seemed to be on her side.

- Spitfire, Spitfire, Spitfire!- another group of girls cheered.

The competition was close, but in the end the rainbow girl won. Her "fans" went to celebrate. That was the moment in which a girl who wasn't looking ahead, bumped into the rainbow girl.

There was a loud " thump" as the girls fell onto the ground. The other girl helped the rainbow girl and apologized. They shook hands and introduced themselves.

- Hi there, I am Rainbow dash- said Rainbow Dash.

- Hi, sugarcube- said the other girl. She had long, blonde hair, freckles and emerald green eyes. She also had a country accent.- I am Applejack.

The two chatted about sports, it turned out they had a very similar taste.

This was only the beginning of a very strong friendship.
