Don't keep hiding. If you want to say something to someone, just say it. If you have to apologize to someone, just do it. 

Own up to your mistakes. Don't run away trying not to face the truth. Because no matter how hard you try, truth creeps in. And before truth can come closer and strike, you move ahead and confront it. Trust me, you'll feel better. Your entire internal dilemma will slowly dissolve. There's no point holding on to ego. It's always better to learn from your mistakes and make new ones.  If deep inside you know, that you must speak those words to that person, sooner or later.....why not do it now ? It will only save you hours of doubting yourself and ages of indecisiveness.
