RICHARD'S POV:

I was woken up by the irritating sound of my alarm; covering my ears with my blanket as I snuggled into its warmth whiles the alarm kept beeping. With a mental groan I rolled up to the other side of the bed and clicked on the snooze button. I slowly and unwillingly opened my eyes to the neon green digits on the clock innocently flashing in front of my eyes. As the sun peeked through the curtains, I stretched out my arms, ready to start the day.

Stepping out of the bathroom with my hair slicked back and dripping with water droplets, a sense of unease lingered in the air. There was a nagging feeling at the back of my mind. I don't like this feeling but there is not much I can do about it either so pushing my thoughts aside I stepped out of my room.

When I entered the main hall, I was greeted by multiple noises. Wally and Roy were sitting on the unnecessarily large couch debating about what to eat for breakfast, Garth was sitting in the corner reading a book and Donna was in the kitchen probably making breakfast ignoring the debate happening between the two boys. I took a seat on one of the stools placed in front of the kitchen counter, the uneasy feeling never leaving my mind. I looked out of the big glass wall, I saw the beach right in front it looked heavenly, but the usually freely flowing waves of the ocean were very still today as if there is a restricting stiffness in the air. The surroundings were quiet, but it was not peaceful. I usually like quiet places, but the silence today was making me uncomfortable. Despite the constant noises my teammates were making I could sense the nostalgia. I was lost in my thoughts until I heard someone calling my name.

"Wing...twing...night....dick!!"

"Y-yes?" I looked up to see Donna looking at me with a slight frown on her face. Roy standing beside her and Wally and Garth standing beside me.

"Dick, we have been calling you from the past 2 minutes, why weren't you responding?"

"Umm... I was just thinking about something"

"Is everything alright buddy? You seem a little worried?" Wally asked with worry lacing his words.

"Well, I don't actually feel so good about today, there is something that feels wrong as if something bad is about to happen"

"Don't worry dickie it must be your imagination. How about to you go and rest for a while after breakfast hmm?" Roy suggested probably because he sensed that I was tired.

"Yeah, I guess you are right maybe I am thinking too much" I responded with a smile. Moments like these are friendly reminders of the family we have become.

"Now come let's eat. I've made pancakes"

"Hah! I told you Roy we will eat pancakes" Wally snickered

"Come on Donnaaaaaa, we ate pancakes yesterday only" Roy whined

"It's either this or you don't get anything to eat at all plus we are almost out of groceries" Donna declared taking a seat on the stool beside me.

"Do you want me to pick up the groceries later?" Garth asked as it was his duty to do grocery shopping this month.

"Ooohh can I come too?" I asked like a child asking permission.

"No way bro you look like you are about to die, so you better take some rest otherwise I will kill you" Roy said threatening me in a proactive big brother tone.

"So, it is final Roy, Gar and Don will go and I and dickie will stay back" Wally hurriedly spoke in my defense.

"Fine Wally I am trusting you and I hope to see the tower in a perfect condition when we return"

"Of course, Garth you can totally trust us. Right Walls?"

"Yep totally"

After about an hour Roy, Donna and Garth changed into their civil cloths so that they are not recognizable and left for the grocery store nearby. The tower is at a pretty isolated place so I expect that it will take them a little while to return back. I looked over at Wally who was cleaning the dishes in the sink. Wally has always been one of the few people I can truly trust; he has always been my support system along with the team. He is always the first to remind us that we are a family before a team.

"Dickie let me finish these dishes quickly and then we can play some video games, ok?"

"Sure Walls how about a match of Mario cart?"

"Of course! I am surely going to win today"

"In your dreams. I am the master of that game"

"We'll see about that buddy"

Our conversation was interrupted by the ringing of Wally's phone.

"Bro my hands are wet can you pick up the call for me?"

"Sure" I rolled over to the other side of the couch where Wally's phone was kept.

"Who is calling?"

I looked at the caller ID and answered "It's Artemis"

"Why is she calling you right now? Wasn't it supposed to be your day off?"

"I dunno pick up the call and put it on speaker" Wally answered

I picked up the call and stood beside Wally so that he can hear her voice clearly.

ON THE PHONE

"Hello?"

"Hey Baywatch, where are you? I have been trying to call you for the past 10 minutes. Why weren't you picking up the call?"

"Sorry Arty I was in another room. Why'd you call?"

"Well Batman has held a meeting on something like befriending some Teen heroes settled in Bludhaven"

Both of us immediately shared a look of distress. The only vigilantes settled in Bludhaven are us, the teen titans.

"D-did he mention anything about them?"

"Yep, apparently there are 5 permanent members and another which is not officially a part of the team but is spotted with them quite frequently."

"Uhmm anything else?"

"Baywatch if you are so interested then come to the meeting it will start after about 15 minutes. Ok be quick" With that she ended the call.
