Chapter 3: Master Fu's Place
Master Fu's P.O.V.
There was a quiet knock on the door. I turned to Wayzz and silently signed for him to hide. Once he had done so, I called out,
"Enter!"
With relief, I saw that it was only Adrien and Marinette who entered, hand in hand.
I smiled and welcomed them, for I always enjoyed it when the lovebirds visited me.
Both politely returned my greeting, though I could tell that they wanted to tell me something. I gestured to the mats,
"Come, sit," and both did so.
As I got out some green tea, I called out,
"Tikki, Plagg, feel free to visit your friends in the Miracle Box, they have been quite bored and I am sure they would love a visit from you two."
I heard Tikki doublecheck with Marinette that it was okay, and once she was given the all clear by her holder, she grabbed Plagg and dragged him towards the phonograph music player, teasingly exclaiming,
"Come on Stinky Sock!"
I heard Adrien chuckle at the sight and could not help but give a small laugh myself.
Having prepared the tea, I carried it to the mats and placed it on the small tea table, smoothly pushing a mug to each of my visitors. Once they were settled, I got down to business,
"As much as I delight in seeing you two, may I inquire as to why I am blessed with your presence this afternoon?"
Adrien immediately put down his tea with an excited expression,
"Marinette and I have come up with a plan to defeat Hawk Moth."
I blinked in surprise and leant forward, trying to supress the hopeful jump of my heart,
"You are sure of this?"
Marinette nodded in reply,
"Yes, Adrien and I discussed it last night and perfected it."
I studied her face, which I fancied had an almost guilty expression,
"May I inquire as to where you were discussing it?"
Adrien immediately protectively butted in,
"We were sitting on the Eiffel tower, as Ladybug and Chat Noir. I'm sorry Master Fu but we needed a secure place to-"
I help up my hand and prevented his flow of words,
"Hush Adrien. It is okay, no need to justify yourself, I understand that it is a private, peaceful place."
He sheepishly smiled.
Our attention was distracted by Marinette,
"Well... maybe not completely private," she sighed, "Alya got a picture of Ladybug and Chat Noir. Kissing."
The last part evidently embarrassed her to say, but I only softly chuckled and murmured,
"Oh such a wonderful thing to be young and in love. Though of course you will need to make sure that you are always alert when you are out and about as Ladybug and Chat Noir."
Both nodded, then Marinette giggled,
"Alya thought I was jealous of Ladybug and had a crush on Chat Noir. I was terrified she was going to say something that would set Adrien off."
Adrien playfully nudged her and teased,
"Well Chat Noir is pretty pawesome, but I'm much more purrfect for you."
Marinette only pretended to groan, with a look on her face,
"You see, this is what I was worried about."
I laughed once more, but then died down into more serious tone of voice as I saw the time,
"You only have half an hour left. Tell me your plan to defeat Hawk Moth."
At once they got their game faces on and explained their plan in depth. Once they were done, I leant back and thought the idea over for a while. It was an incredibly ingenious plan. But one aspect was of concern to me.
I brought up my worry,
"You do realise that messing with time is incredibly dangerous? If something goes wrong, it could have devastating consequences in the future."
Marinette nodded wisely,
"We know. That's why we will only go back in time to discover Hawk Moth's identity, then we will get Bunnix to take us back to the Present before we take any action."
I inclined my head with a smile, pleased with her clear, concise idea,
"Good thinking." Then, in a more serious tone, I added, "but you must promise me that the moment you get into any trouble, call Bunnix for backup, do not take any risks."
Both looked me in the eye and solemnly sweared to do so.
"Very well. Go home tonight and rest up, tomorrow will be a busy day. Meet me here. Then we will summon Bunnix."
The pair politely bowed their heads, called their Kwamis, gathered their belongings and left.
Once again alone, with no one but Wayzz keeping me company, I smiled after the retreating figures. I was so proud of them. Turning to Wayzz, I commented,
"Those two are the most noble Miraculous Holders I have ever met."
He agreed with me, and then we resumed our tea drinking.
