Tale has it that before there were ever gods or kings or kingdoms in West Africa, Oniiayé the mother of creation bore four daughter's, each of whom she gave power over four elements, Oniayé (life), Onidüni (earth), Onirèn (fire), and Onibéni (water). Her sister Òjabéji bore one daughter, Òja, whom she gifted the power of death. Then together, the two sisters created sons of great might and strength. After which they became one with the elements.

The daughters unite with the sons to form the Òkijà Dynasty. Mighty and united.

Many generations later, Òkijà becomes populated with many thriving Tribes and Clans.

But when tyranny, greed and black magic infects the heart of the Òja Tribe, the once united Òkijà Dynasty is thrown into a deathly war; never to unite or thrive again.

So it is believed that nothing can reunite the Òkijà Dynasty and restore her former glory.

Not the ÒJA QUEENSTEAD,
Not the BÉNI TIDEHONERS,
Not the IRÈNI SMELTERS,
Not any clan, not any seer, no one.
And definitely not for a thousand Blooms.

But then, deep within the Old Ayéan Forests, hidden away by The Shield, something happens that turns Òkijà towards the DÄÜGHTËR'S of AYÉ and Òja.
