We kept driving until it was dark our stomachs were probably eating themselves by now and all of us were exhausted. Conner was falling asleep and I had a leg cramp from sitting so long.

"Grover there's a hotel." Annabeth said pointing to the right. We pulled over it was a motel but it was better than driving all night we got out and stretched and grabbed our stuff.

"I'll handle this." I said and walked up to the desk a older man turned around he looked to be in his early 70's but then four more people came out all about in their 70's.

"Uh hello." I said with a little smile and wave. "I was wondering if we can have 6 rooms please."

"I'm sorry, we only have four rooms." One man said he looked nicer than the others.

"Oh then we an combined." I said this time Conner had a is arm around my waist. Like we want to protect me.

"No! I mean no because there are only allowed a certain amount of people in one room come I will show you them." The oldest said and walked us up a flight of stairs he opened the first door.

"Two gentlemen." He gestured Grover and Percy in and closed the door I had goosebumps but Conner held my hand and we walked down the hallway.

"Miss." He said showing Annabeth the room and shut the door. We walked down the hall.

"Sir." He said to Conner, Conner looked at me and I nodded he let go of my hand and shut is door by himself.

"And the last one is for you Miss." Opening the last door in the hallway I stepped inside.

"If you need food please use the phone." He said shutting the door I was starved I took out the menu.

"Cold tuna and meat, meat, meat, and human?" I gulped then I heard footsteps I looked out my peephole and saw someone coming from the bottom steps he looked in the hole and I went down what do I do?

Then I smelled something I looked and he was half across the hall oh my gosh I figured out this place I knocked on Conners door I heard more footsteps.

"Hang on." I heard inside they were getting closer I knocked again

"Hang on! Coming." I saw a shadowy figure.

"Conner it's Skylar hurry!" He opened the door and I jumped in and slammed the door.

"What?" He asked I did Code on the wall and minutes later the others showed up.

"What's wrong?" Conner asked

"This is a Monster Hotel!" I said
