"Where have you two been!" Emily screamed.

"Calm down! We went for a run, nothing else." Bailey said.

"Its the middle of the night! Why would you go for a run at night when those monsters are out there! Bailey could have been bitten by a horrid vampire!" She yelled.

"What do you mean by horrid?" i asked, trying to keep my calm.

"By horrid i mean monstrous, blood drinking freaks of nature!" she said, her tone filled with venom.

"Freaks!? Monstrous!? You don't know what you're talking about! Vampires are not freaks or monsters, their misunderstood and wish to be human!" i yelled at her.

"You're no longer one of us, you're a monster! You were bitten by a vampire and now you're acting like one!"

"I was already part vampire!" i yelled at her, my eyes going blood red.

"More of a reason we should cast you into the sun and let you burn! You don't care about Bailey's safety or anyone else's! You're a monster like the evil, blood sucking freaks. I bet you want to drink our blood right now!" emily yelled.

"My parents died protecting me because im a hybrid. You want me to die because I'm a hybrid. I'm not dangerous and i wont drink someone's blood unless they give me permission, which Bailey gave me permission!" I yelled at the top of my voice.

Emily charged out of the room to her room and left me and everyone else in the main room of the tree house. The sun started to come up and i walked into my room and closed the door and covered the windows with the curtains that made no sun light come in. I laid down on my bed and smashed my face into my pillow.

"Am a monster? Am I a freak?" i muttered into my pillow and tears started to roll down my cheeks and onto my pillow.

"Luna, I'm sorry about what Emily said. She doesn't know what it's like to be something that everyone fears or something that's different. She's human like Maddy, Landon, and Danielle." i heard Bailey say from outside the door.

I rolled onto my back and tried to make the tears go away but they didn't. I remembered what my parents always told me: you're special and no one can make you anything that you're not.

"Luna, are you OK? I can hear your breathing and its faster than usual." Bailey said, his voice sounding worried.

"I-I'm fine." i said, getting up and walking to my door.

"You can drink my blood if you have to, you do know that, right?" he asked.

I opened my door and saw Bailey. His face scratched up and his nose bleeding. "What happened to you!" i asked with my eyes wide.

"I went outside and apparently a wolf was out there and tried to kill me and then i ran into a tree." Bailey explained.

"You OK?" i asked him.

"I should heal in a few days or weeks, but im fine." Bailey said.

"Dude, you're bleeding!"

"I said I'm fine."

"Bailey, what would Emily do if she saw you like this?" i asked him.

"Luna, your eyes are blood red."

"So?"

"When a vampire's eyes are blood red, that means they have to drink blood."

"Im half vampire, remember?"

"Even hybrids need to drink blood, Luna. Someone's coming." Bailey said as he pushed past me and walked in. He closed the door and put an ear against it.

"Bailey, i don't need to drink blood." i whispered.

He shushed me. I walked over to my closet and shut myself in it, the door was firmly closed. I stayed in there, trying to control this "thirst" that all vampires had, the thirst for blood. I soon started to cry, the image of my parents' dead bodies flashed across my vision. I had my knees pulled up to my chest and my face buried in my hands.

"Luna?" Bailey asked from outside the closet.

I stayed silent.

"Luna, please come out. They're gone, for now."

I still didn't say anything.

"Luna, whats wrong." Bailey asked me as he opened the closet door and saw me crying.

All i did was look up and the vampire's thirst thing became worse.

"Luna, your eyes are a deeper red. You need to drink some human, or werewolf, blood." bailey said, sitting in front of me.

"No." i muttered.

"What?"

"No. I will not give in to drinking someone's blood because I'm not like the vampire that tried to kill me." i muttered.

"Luna, of course you're not like that vampire. You're a hybrid, a naturally born hybrid."

"And yet i have to drink blood?"

"Sadly, yes. If you drink werewolf blood, then you can be in the sun light, if you drink human blood, then you become more vampire."

"You're the only werewolf. Im the only hybrid. Everyone else are humans. What do i do?" i asked, a tear falling down my cheek.

"First of all, stop crying. Second, drink enough of my blood to fulfil your thirst. Then, lets go for a run." bailey said.

"Maybe we should go for a run first then when the sun's about to come up ill drink your blood?"

"Sure, Luna."

We walked out of my room and into the main room of the tree house. We climbed down the ladder and once we were on the ground, we shifted.

"Lets head to the lake, luna. You need to see how pretty it is in the early sun light." Bailey in his head.

"Ok, you lead the way." i agreed.

Bailey led me to a huge lake. The water was crystal clear and the sun was starting to rise. I quickly shifted back and stood under a tree that i believed could block out the sun.
