"Bye Rachael! see you in school tomorrow" Rose and Ruth screamed as I got out of the car

" Bye. uncle Femi when will you be back ?" I asked my driver, Uncle Femi.

"when I'm done dropping your friends," he replied

"ok, Bye guys" I waved. I entered the house , it was quite too quite. "Maybe mom is not at home" I said to myself smiling

"Oh, so that's your prayer, my friend come here!" my mom shouted from the kitchen

"sorry mom, Good Afternoon" I greeted hugging her

"leave me alone jare, why are you like this?"

"what? I didn't do anything wrong" I replied following her out of the kitchen to the living room

"This child, you will not kill me. what happened between you and your physics teacher?" she asked dragging my ear

"Mom, stop. I did nothing, the man just started shouting at everyone in the class" I lied.

"Why,? you guys must have done something wrong"

"No, maybe because his girlfriend dumped him in the morning" I said laughing

"His girlfriend? who would even want to date him?" I mom asked laughing also

"I don't know for him, He just manage to find one by mistake and the kind girl is tired" I said laughing out loud with my mom

"Are you done insulting your teacher? now before I open my eye leave my sight and go shower, you are smelling really bad" she shouted

"Yes Ma," I said running upstairs to my room. this woman is so confusing.

I entered my room, dropped my school bag on my bed, took off my school uniform, charged my phone and went straight to my bathroom. when I was done showering, I wore my clothe and I went to my mom's room. she was lying on her bed with her phone

"Mum, I'm hungry" I said sitting on her bed

"Come and eat since you don't know the way to the kitchen anymore" she replied with a hiss

"Mom, why are you is harsh to me. I'm your only child, what will you do if you lose me? " I said with a sad face pretending to be crying.

"That's not a problem, I'm still young so I can give birth to another child"

"Mom, is Aunty Buki at home?"I asked standing up from her bed

" yes, ask her to make something for you to eat, she's in the store downstairs" she replied.

"I don't wanna eat anymore" I said

"fine, it's your body. before I forget when are you starting your WAEC examinations"

"Next week"

"NEXT WEEK!, that's 3 days from now" she shouted with her eyes widely opened

"Yes, any problem?"

"Are you stupid? you are not even reading your books, you don't look like someone who is having an exam soon. what you always do is: come back home from school, shower, eat, sleep, watch movies on your laptop or chatting on your phone, eat again and sleep" she said sitting on her bed looking serious

"Yes, I don't have to read. I'm ready for the exams" I replied smiling

" If I slap you, from now on before you go to bed study for complete 2 hours no breaks. oya drop your phone and your tablet, you can only take your laptop because of school" she commanded reaching out her hands.

"What is this one na?" I murmured

"Don't vex me Rachael." she sternly warned "Give it to me now!" she yelled

"Mom, when will I get them back" I asked giving it to her

"When you are done with your exam" she replied

"No, when you do well on your exams that if you Ace it" she said smiling as she collected the stuffs

"I don't like this thing, I'm going to bed " I shouted as I opened her door to leave

"when you start paying your school fees then you can make decisions. Good night love, sweet dreams and close my door when you leave" she said blowing kisses to me

"see you tomorrow" I said frowning.

I slammed her door angrily, went to my room and slept.
