Chapter 4

The pavilion was set up in an orderly fashion, each cabin and their own table. And the came in the in order. Each table and cabin represents one of the 12 Olympians. Cabin 1 is Zues, cabin 2 is Hera, Cabin 3 is Poseidon, etc. etc..

Zoe was stuck in Cabin 11, where all the children of Hermes were, and all the undetermined demigods went. Needless to say it was a very over crowded and very overwhelming cabin and table. But some of her friends were in the cabin as well. Neto, Luna, Coral and Kane.

When she walked over to her table she tapped the shoulder of Neto, he was a taller guy. About 5'8, 5'9. Whichever sucked for Zoe because she was older at 5'1. He had black hair, silvery eyes that she found fascinating, and he was also sun sensitive which she thought was strange but she knew everyone also had their flaws so she didn't judge.

"Did you miss me?" She asked sarcastically as she plopped down next to him.

"You're back early, very early." Neto said to her sipping coffee. He always had coffee.

"I know," she said to him.

"What happened?"

"I'll tell you the same thing I did Chiron, I didn't make it on the cheer team."

"Like you'd ever try to make it on the cheer team anyways." Neto said either slight smile. He looked exhausted, more than usual.

"I'd destroy them with athletics." Zoe said "Just about anyone here would." She said taking her rings off and setting them on the table as she always does whenever she's about to eat. She finds it inappropriate to eat while carrying weapons, unless it's a time when she needs weapons.

"Just as one should." He said to her. He looked like he wanted to tell her something but not around all the people. Which she couldn't blame him.

Their cabin councilor, Luke Castiellan, came to the table, he had a scar down his face from a fight with a monster. He was the best swordsman the Camp Half-blood has seem in the last 100 years. But Zoe was the best archer Camp Half-Blood has ever seen, and she thinks arching is a better skill than swordplay, to an extend. That's also because she's not too good with swords, she's better with daggers, spear, axes and javelin. Practially any weapon besides a sword she's good with.

She watched as the rest of the cabin piled  into the pavilion, but the look that Luke was giving her was making her uneasy. As if he was up to something bad. Very bad. But she shook off the thought, thinking she was wrong.

When dinner started they thought of what they wanted and the wind nymph would make it appear in front of them. They also gave a scrapping of their food too the gods as an offering by dropping it into the fire put in the middle of the pavilion. When dinner was over everyone went their separate ways. Some went to campfires to sing and have marshmallows, some went to their cabins. Some went to do whatever while they still could.

Zoe went to her favorite place when she wanted some peace. The lake. She was sitting on the docks with her feet in the water as she lightly splashed rhe water nymphs. She could understand them but she couldn't talk to them because it'd give herself away. She heard footsteps coming to her and she automatically knew it was Neto.

He said right besides her. Things were always awkward between them, in a odd comforting way. "Where's Kane?" He asked

"He should be here soon. If it gets too late he'll just wait until tomorrow to come." She answered and Neto nodded in response.

They just sat there like that. In a peaceful quiet. Watching the water until curfew called. Then they went to their cabin and got ready for bed. It was quiet awkward in her opinion, because she usually slept in between Luke and Kane, but there was no Kane and she felt as if Luke was breathing down her neck, ready to strike and kill. It made her move over to Kane's spot for the night, which Kane's spot was right besides Neto, but he was already passed out. Which only made her rub her rings. Ready to draw her daggers if needed.
