Chapter Thirty-nine
"I nearly killed you, mi amor." Leo mumbled.
"What?" Crystal didn't completely hear him.
"Nothing," Leo blushed. "Anyway, there's no way we can get out, so I guess we have to go in."

"Who has this many booty traps?!" Crystal said.
She was shocked by how many traps that was rigged all the way up to the door. Just as she was about to step on the welcome mat, Leo pulled her back.
"Hermosa, be careful! That was close," Leo said.
"How was I supposed to know that a stupid welcome mat was going to kill me?" Crystal grumbled. "But thank you."
Leo grinned. He opened the front door.
"Are you kidding me? It was unlocked this whole time?" Jason gaped.
They all stepped into the mansion. It was so dark inside, that it took a moment for everyone's eyes to adjust.
"Can we get a light?" Piper asked.
Leo tried lighting a fire, but nothing happened.
"Why isn't it working?" Crystal asked.
"Well, bonita, if I knew what the problem was, this wouldn't be happening." Leo retorted. "Is there a light switch anywhere?"
"Yeah, sure. Let me just sensually stroke the wall and search for a switch, possibly setting off another trap." Crystal sarcastically said.
Leo huffed. "So what now?"
Jason shrugged. "Well, we're not going to split up, like with the Cyclops."
Piper groaned. "Don't remind me."
"Yeah, my nose still hurts from that." Crystal shuddered.
"How about we set up camp in here? It's too cold outside. In the morning we can try to get out." Jason said.
They sat on some nearby couches and ate cold food. As Jason and Piper ate, Crystal helped Leo with the cage locks.
"Dios mío! It won't budge." Leo said, exasperated.
"That's odd. It must be magical, maybe." Crystal said.
"I guess."
They both made their way back to the couches and got comfy. Crystal realized that she was sitting extremely close to Leo. His natural scent filled her nostrils. It was actually quite... comforting. Along with his warm body heat, it was Crystal drowsy.
"Hey, Crystal?" Leo said.
Crystal sleepily hummed. "Hm?"
In her sleepy daze, she had laid her head on his shoulder.
"I need to tell you something." Leo continued, not noticing that she had fallen asleep.
It wasn't until she had started to snore that he noticed. It wasn't a loud, annoying snore. It was a cute and soft little snore. He could get used to that. Leo smiled and placed a jacket around her, hoping it'll keep her warm.
"Nevermind. Sweet dreams, hermosa."

"DIE! DIE! DIEE!" A voice screamed.
Crystal jolted awake. She felt something fall off her body.
She looked at the ground and found a jacket that she definitely did not have on before. Crystal looked around the now bright room. A screaming satyr was swinging a club and smashing things. Jason ran up to him and tried calming him down. The satyr took a little while to chill out, but he eventually did. The human goat hybrid turned to Crystal.
"Who the heck are you?" He glared at Crystal.
"I could ask you the same thing," Crystal folded her arms.
The coach huffed and looked around the room. "Why is everything gold?"
Crystal widened her eyes. She had never noticed it before. Every single thing was made of gold.
"Wow," Leo whistled.
