Chapter Fourty-Three
Jason stood completely still as Piper spoke up. "Are you Thalia?"
The girl tensed and said, "Do I know you?"
Jason finally moved. "Thalia, I'm Jason. Your brother."

Crystal looked over at Leo while Jason and Thalia were reuniting. Leo was totally entranced by Thalia. A familiar wave of emotions pulsed through her body.
Why are you even jealous? You don't even like him! Crystal thought. Right? ... Right?
Crystal frowned and smacked Leo across his head. "You're doing it again."
Leo yelped and rubbed his head. "Hey!"
Crystal angrily frowned and looked the other way.
Aw, is poor Crystal upset that her boy toy is in love?
"Can you not?" Crystal whispered under her breath. "What do you even want? I swear if you tell me to join you one more ti-"
Join me Crystal...
"God damn it."
Before the voice in her head could respond, Piper collapsed. Crystal quickly dove to catch her before Piper cracked her head open on the ground. Thalia rushed over, inspecting her.
She turned to Crystal and Leo. "Please take her to the entrance. Phoebe can heal you all."
Crystal and Leo hoisted Piper around their shoulders and headed toward the mouth of the cave. Before they could get far, Jason called for Leo to stay. Soon, Hedge replaced Leo and the three continued on their way to Phoebe. To Crystal's surprise, Phoebe had set up a tent with pillows and a heater. Phoebe gently took Piper away from Crystal and Coach Hedge, who immediately made himself at home. Crystal stood and helped whenever she could until Piper looked normal again. Phoebe turned to Crystal and held up a damp cotton ball. Crystal sucked in a breath as the alcohol from the ball stung her wound as Phoebe cleaned it up and placed a bandage on top.
"I saw you wrestle that full grown wolf. That's very impressive." Phoebe said.
Crystal shrugged. "I wasn't really thinking. I sensed my friend was in trouble and my instincts took over."
Phoebe smiled. "That still is amazing. We could use a tough girl like that in the Hunters."
"Hm. I'll think about it. That's for healing me, by the way!" Crystal smiled.
"No problem," Phoebe shrugged. "Hot chocolate?"
Soon, Crystal was snuggled up against a large pillow, sipping delicious hot chocolate and wrapped in a new parka. She tried to resist, but her eyes became heavy and Crystal drifted off into sleep.
"No way! Someone give me hypothermia. I want hot chocolate and a parka, too!" A voice exclaimed.
Crystal snapped awake. It took her a second to calm her racing heart, a common problem whenever she was suddenly awoken. Piper placed a hand on Crystal's shoulder and smiled.
"I wanted to wake you, but you looked like you really needed a nap." Piper said.
Crystal smiled back appreciatively. She really did need some rest, it had been a while since she slept. Nevertheless, the short nap had refreshed her.
Phoebe started to break camp and Thalia handed Jason and Leo some coats. They began to run up a mountain. Leo trailed behind the group with Jason and talked to him. Crystal couldn't understand that they were saying, their words were lost in the wind.
