Narrator's pov

Luna slowly drifted down to the ground, allowing their heels to delicately touch the floor but their eyes were still shut tightly, squeezing each other as if their life depended on it.

The screams from everyone in the room was the only thing that parted the two girls away. Their eyes connected to see something different. A spark that neither had seen before, almost as if they had the same thought.

And indeed they did. But they would soon figure out what exactly was going through each other's mind soon enough

"Now that... That's fucking GOALSSSS" Dani squealed

"I want what they have" Zack pouted

Aelia chuckled softly as she untangled her arms from around her girlfriend, taking quite step back but still keeping her eyes on her

For there had been something eating away at her for so long and she was ready to end it

"I just need a minute. I'll meet you back here in five minutes?" Aelia asked

"I.. Um.. Can you meet me in the backyard actually? I'll be by the swings" Luna said

For she too had something up her sleeves that she had planned. The same thoughts eating away at her for week, actually months but it's been more intense these days

"I will. I love you" Aelia smiled as she placed her hand behind the girl's neck, pulling her in for a small kiss

"I love you" Luna smiled as she pulled away

Aelia's fingers slowly slipped out of her own as she blonde took a few steps back, her smile still as bright as ever as she walked away backwards. The warmth of their hands together slowly faded as Aelia left to head up the stairs, feeling Luna's eyes on her

"Oh shit. It's actually happening huh?" Dani asked

"I hope so" Luna mumbled as she placed her hands in her pocket, feeling the familiar object

"God I can't contain my joy right noww. Eeeeppp" Mia squealed

"Shh keep it down before Aelia hears" Dani hissed

"She's gone upstairs, she can't hear anything. Let me be happy for my friends" Mia pouted

"It's the moment we've all been waiting for, congratulations guys" Zack smiled as he placed an arm on the girl's shoulder

"There's nothing to say congrats about, it hasn't happened yet" Luna chuckled

"You know damn well that girl is head over heels in love with you. You guys are perfect together, your love is real end pure. There's no way she'll ever say no" Zack said

"But what if-"

"You're over thinking and that's okay. But listen to us when we say, everything will be okay. We promise" Dani said sternly to her bestfriend

It's been so long since Luna's had these thoughts in her head. The perfect way to propose to her girlfriend.

She's actually thought about proposing to her at their old highschool but the fans kept interrupting them with every chance they had

She'd thought about proposing to the girl when she was on stage but she was way too consumed with pleasure to even think about that ring

But what she was feeling the moment was true. There was just a feeling in her heart that was screaming for her to do it.

"I wonder what she's doing up there" Mia mumbled as her eyes trailed up the stairs

"You should get going. And remember, she's the one" Dani smiled, pulling her best friend in for a hug

"I love you too danz" Luna chuckled as she wrapped her arms around Dani's neck, feeling her cold skin invade her warm body

Zack grinded his teeth together, feeling a stinging sensation around the rim of his eyes. For he had seen their relationship blossom from a seed to the most delicate flower in the bunch. The boy folded his fist to contain the tear that threatened to escape his eye

On the other hand, Leo was in the corner crying like a Lil bitch

"Get yourself together man" Lex hissed

"I'm sorryyyy, but I'm getting a cousin in law that'll buy me all the Gucci in the world" Leo pouted

"Am I just a wallet to you?" Luna playfully gasped

"You built like a walle-"

"I would fold you into so many pieces, you'll find that vagina you had" Luna playfully glared

"That's... That's hot. Can you like, marry me instead?" Leo giggled

"Nope. My heart belongs to one person and one person only" Luna smiled

"Go on, don't keep your future bride waiting. We'll be right here waiting for the good news" Maddy smiled

"And don't come back here until she says yes even if it's the last thing you do" Lex chuckled

The group gave a smile that assured Luna she would be okay. They've all played a role in the two girl's relationship whether being to break them up or bring them back together. They've seen their ups, their downs and the intense love between them. For they know, the two girls belonged together for life

And with that, Luna took a deep breath in and started her journey towards the maze like backyard of the castle. She pushed open the tall wooden doors of the castle, feeling the eyes of her friends on her as she walked into the dark yard

Stars light the sky like snow-flakes in the night, yet appeared still, like an old photograph. Luna smiled, feeling the wind blow her brown wavy hair into a tousled mane. Were she out there in space, riding the limits of the known universe, they would be a choreographed blizzard.

How the stars would move, the galaxies tumble and dart despite being in hell. But for now, with her hands tucked in her pants and her eyes staring at the object before her, Luna thought about the times she'd share with the girl

The day they met was a day to remember, good and the bad.

Their first day together, she made the girl open up despite knowing nothing but their first names.

A step Aelia never had with anyone before, she was closed off and projected her anger, her loneliness on anyone that stood before her.

For that was just one sign that Luna was surely going to change her life for the bigger and so she did

Luna glanced at the old, worn swing. Years ago, she had swung there during her childhood, alone.

Spending her life in the shadows of a father that worked constantly, Luna needed an escape, especially since she wasn't allowed to leave the castle grounds. Ever.

So one day when she was just a toddler, she had broke out of her room and climbed down the roof, landing in the maze garden of the castle. Her eyes had stumbled upon two strong ropes and a strong wooden plank tied to it. She thought she'd stumble upon a magical swing left there by her guardian angel

Little did she know it was actually her father that built it when she was younger because he noticed she was becoming sadder and sadder everyday being isolated in her room

So he had James build a small set on the tallest cheery blossom tree in the garden. When Luna snuck out everything night to swing, he'd lurk in the shadows with a smile on his face when the girl would giggle, her feet brushing against the green grass and dashing into the air when he swung with force

It was her escape in the night. She had always thought no one knew of her hideout, of her stolen moments alone. It was her special place as a child, someone where she could be herself. Be a child in the quiet cold atmosphere. She had been a strange child, quiet, intense, with a gaze that seemed to pierce through people. Until she found swing.

And sure it was ridiculous, calling the swing her only friend. But it was what made her happy during her time in hell

Luna made her way over to the abandoned swing, eyes taking in the peeled white coat and rough wooden seat. The ropes were slightly tattered as she took a tentative seat, wrapping her callused hands around them. Suddenly, she felt overwhelmed with emotion and tears prickled at her eyes.

She sobbed into the cold air of the garden unceasingly, hands clutching at each ends of the rope. Luna's feet pushed her body forward and backwards as the swing carried her in silence, rocking her slowly as her tears ran down her cheek without a destination

"Lu-Luna?" A voice came from behind

Alarmed, she wiped at them and stopped her movements, but the feeling remained.

"Baby are you okay?" Aelia said as she stepped closer, her hands gripped the rope as she stood in front of her girlfriend

Seeing the girl brought an instant smile to the half angel's face. Aelia could see that her smile was one of happiness growing, much as a spring flower opening at it made her heart flutter in her chest, just another sign that made her realize Luna truly was the one. She smiled with more than their mouth, she saw it in the girl's heart.

"I'm more than okay" she whispered

Aelia smiled and took a step closer so that she was trapped between the girl's legs that sat on the swings

She cupped the girl's cheek with one hand while the other rested behind her back, her soft fingertips brushing against the girl's cheek so delicatly, causing Luna to close her eyes and exhale a deep breath she didn't realize she was keeping in

"This was my special place you know" She mumbled, Aelia tilted her head to the side

"I'd sneak out of my room everynight thinking I was a badass for hopping off my roof and landing in the garden" Luna chuckled

"I still think you're a badass" Aelia giggled, brushing her fingers against the girl's sideburns

"Yeah I am" Luna smirked causing her girlfriend to tilt her head back in laughter

"Do you remember that song I sang for you on our first date?" the blonde asked

Luna chuckled softly as she wrapped her arms around the girl's waist, burying the side of her face into Aelia's stomach

"How could I ever forget? It was beautiful stranger" Luna whispered

"We've come a long way from being strangers" Aelia mumbled as she rested her chin on top of her girlfriend's head

"I used to get nervous when I talked to you" Luna admitted

"You did?" Aelia giggled

"Yeah, you were this... Confident girl with so much passion in your eyes. It was intimidating sometimes" Luna chuckled

"You. Intimidated by me?" Aelia snickered

"Don't laughhh, I always put up a front" Luna pouted

"Aww baby. You always seemed so confident, so sure of yourself. Sometimes cocky, I'm not gonna lie" Aelia giggled

"I am. I'm not a weak person Aelia, nor am I ever speechless. But when it comes to you, I'm most vulnerable" Luna said sternly, her head tilted upwards to stare into those green orbs

"You're making my heart race right now" Aelia giggled

"Do you have any idea how much I love you?" The brunette asked

"Oh-" Aelia's cheek turned a dark shade of red

"I'm serious. Do you?" She asked again

"I'm sure I know how much you love me" Aelia giggled

"Alright. Take that idea of how much I love you then multiply it by one million, then triple it by a billion and add ten trillion to it, then you'll get just a quarter of how much I actually love you" Luna said causing the girl to chuckle

And then she gave Luna a smile that just seemed so genuinely sweet with just the right touch of shyness that unexpected warmth rushed through the brunette's body

"God you're so beautiful" Aelia whispered, her thumb brushed so softly against her girlfriend's cheek, feeling every inch and every curve of her heart shaped face

The brunette chuckled softly, allowing the touch of Aelia to sooth her nerves, her anxiousness of what she was about to do

"I'm the luckiest human ever. I really am" The blonde giggled

"Are you?" Luna smirked

"I have you. The most joyful and open hearted person I'd ever come across. You came into my life and helped me out of so much, I could never repay you for everything you've done for me but I can shower you with the love I have within. I'm so in love with you Luna, you're who I think about every second of the day, you're the person I want to come home to when the day ends, you're my person as I am yours" the blonde said

She stared at the way Luna's lips lifted upward. The way her one dimple crinkled. The way her teeth were perfectly aligned. The warm glow her happiness gave, her smile was a ray of sunshine, and Aelia was a sunburn.

"I can't put this off any longer" Aelia mumbled

"What?" Luna asked

"Nothing. I just... I need to talk to you about something" Aelia said

"Hold that thought" Luna said as she stood to her feet

Aelia furrowed her brows when her girlfriend towered over her, Luna smiled and gripped the girl's waist tightly, pulling their chests together.

Luna's lips reached down to press against the blonde's, slow and uncertain. Aelia smiled sweetly against the girl's lips, feeling them soft and smooth

They'd love the taste of each other, so plump and delicious. The way they molded into each other's embrace from a simple touch, a simple glance. Their kisses were always a heat of fire and passion with a growing rhythm.

Little did they know, it was their last kiss as a couple

They pulled away from the burning sensation in their lungs from the lack of oxygen, their hot breaths lingering above their lips as they pressed their foreheads together, molding in their grasps.

Aelia's eyes squeezed shut as her hand cupped the girl's cheek, slowly sliding down to her neck as she wrapped her arms around the girl

"Aelia" Luna mumbled

"Yes my love?"

"I want you" the brunette said causing the blonde to giggle

"I want you too-"

"No. I want you. I want you to be mine forever"

"I'm already yours sweetheart" Aelia whispered

"You don't get it do you?" Luna asked, Aelia raised her brow curiously

"You were always so slow. Gosh I love you" Luna giggled and untangled herself from her girlfriend

Only to slowly lean down. With every inch she lowered, Aelia felt her heart flutter a bit more. For Luna had stabled herself on one knee while her hand intertwined with one of Aelia's who kept her other behind her back

The blonde's breathing became rapid and shallow, just seeing Luna on one knee in front of her made her lose all oxygen from her lungs. She'd picture the day for so long, so many times. But to actually have it happen was far different. She could feel her pulse pounding in her temples.

"You know, I never thought of myself being on my knees in front of you" Luna snickered

"oh my God-" Aelia let out breathlessly, the glossiness in her eyes were starting to show under the moonlight

"But that's the thing. I can never know what to expect with you. It's like everything I ever knew, everything I was thought got thrown out the door the day I met you Aelia. Everything I had planned, my expectations. Everything was gone because in my heart, I knew when I met you, I had met everything I've ever needed" Luna said as she glanced up to see Aelia's glossy green eyes

They were flecks of strength, of the kind of green that came only as summer advanced, And they were never more beautiful than when she cried, when her gentleness flowed over her cheeks

"I don't know the future Aelia, but I do know who I want in it and that's you. I want to be there with you for every experience, every first, every tear, every Grammy that you'll be winning" Luna smirked

Aelia's head tilted back to laugh, her cheeks still stained red, decorated with laughter lines. Yet the soul and the eyes were ageless

"You were always my choice, you were always the one for me. You're so unique Aelia, you have this fire in you that sets you apart from everyone else. You know what you want and you go after it, you're not afraid to love and you're you accept it. You make the best out of a bad situation and you give so much of your heart to everyone, you spread yourself dry until everyone that has a piece, leaves with a smile. You've captured me with that smile since the day we met and you'll forever keep me in a cage of your heart, a cage that I want to live in forever. So if you'll have me, I promise to never hurt you.. Well not in the ways that would break us apart." Luna chuckled, earning a slightly smack in the arm

"I promise to give you every ounce of love I have to offer, for it belongs to you. I love you with my aura, placing it about you like the deepest star-filled sky. Space and time have no meaning for my love, for it is boundless, eternal. It is a love that self-sustains through even the meanest of winters, its own heat and light being the warmth, the hope... The hope that I'd hold you in my arms forever until the day we turn to dust.. With that being said.. Aelia Green... Will you Marry me?"

Silence, a wave of silence fell over the two girls. Luna furrowed her brows with each passing second, she just asked the girl to marry her but there wasn't any response. She could feel her heart clench tightly, wanting to crumble itself into pieces

"I've done alot of wrong in my life. And I'm not the most perfect, the most thoughtful nor the most fast thinker out there, I'm sure everyone knows that" Aelia chuckled

"But what I am, is yours and that's the best feeling in the world. To be yours Luna. I feel invincible with you, you're my power, you're my weakness and you're my joy all in one. That's how you know that someone is right for you, they bring out everything in yourself that you never knew you had. You. You bring that want out in my, that adventure, that confidence. I could have never made it so far in my life if it weren't for you. We've been through the terrible, we've been to hell and back. Literally. And you've been on top of the world. You're my first love, my first real love. You're the reason I know what love is and your heart is filled with it. You've defied labels and broke barriers. You're growing everyday and I want to be apart of that journey so bad.. Soooo with that being said.." Aelia smiled

The blonde slowly slid down to the ground, Luna's face fell when the girl got down on one knee

"Will you... Luna Amon... Marry me?" Aelia asked as she moved her hidden arm behind her back and brought it forward to reveal a small black jewelry box

Both girl's eyes dripped with tears. Their fingers intertwined while they were both down on their knees, both rings up in the open and a smile on their faces, yet the dam of tears spilled down their cheeks.

Moment by moment, they fell. Salty drops fell from their chins, drenching their faces and rolling down their jaws.

"Yes" Both girls said simultaneously

Their eyes widened upon hearing them both accept at the same time, the shocked expression was then replaced by soft giggles filled with tears spilling down the rim of their eyes. Luna held the girl's finger and slowly slipped the diamond ring on, Aelia giggled and took hers, sliding it along Luna's finger

The blonde immediately cupped her girl-

Eh em. I meant Fiancé's cheek

And crashed their lips together, a kiss that was new yet so familiar. A kiss that was just the start of their new life together, so soft yet so passionate. Aelia's lips trapped between Luna's as she exhaled deeply, feeling the salty liquid on each other's cheek.

Neither girls could contain their smiles as their lips moved together with a burning desire. A soft hum especially their throats as they held each other tighter, their rings sparkling under the reflective grey moonlight of the night sky. For their kept each other warm, they kept each other sane and now they belonged to each other in a union
