Chapter Thirty-Three | House of Gold

Regina had agreed to watch Roland and Megan while Robin took Henry to the woods with the merry men. Except, they weren't actually going to meet the merry men.
The door to Enchanted Jeweler opened and the bell above it dinged, signaling Robin and Henry's entrance. The woman behind the counter looked up and smiled at them. "Can I help you with something?"
"We're, ah, looking for an engagement ring," Robin answered.
"Oh! Of course! Well, our engagement rings are over that way," the woman pointed to her left. "Personally, I really like the birthstone ones, but the diamond ones are traditional, if you were looking for something a bit more classic."
Robin looked over at Henry. "Birthstone?"
"It's like... a special gem for the moth you were born in. My mom was born in February, so hers would be the February birthstone," Henry explained. "Not sure which one that is, though..."
"Amethyst," the woman behind the counter piped up. "Also, the birth flowers are violets and primroses."
"Let's stay away from getting her violets," Henry muttered. Robin thanked the woman for her help and led Henry over to the case of engagement rings. In the end, they decided on a ring with two silver bands entwined, one covered in amethysts and the other plain silver.
After they bought the ring, Robin called Emma and asked if she could watch Megan and Roland. Henry had already told his other mother than Robin was planning to propose to Regina, so Emma immediately said yes.
On the way home, Robin bought a dozen of blood red roses when Henry suggested he should do something cliché like get Regina flowers.
Emma was already at Regina's house when they arrived. Robin rang the doorbell so Regina would open the door and when she did, he presented the roses to her. "For you, Milady."
Regina smiled and raised an eyebrow. "First you get Emma to watch the kids and now roses?"
"Anything for my Queen."
"Alright," Henry pushed past his mom and soon-to-be step-dad. "I did my part, now I'm out of here."
After Henry was inside the house, Robin spoke again, "Would you care to go for a walk?"
Regina felt blush creep into her cheeks as her smile widened. "Anything for my Outlaw." She set the roses in a vase next to the door and grabbed her jacket before stepping outside and entwining her arm with Robin's.

Robin stopped walking and turned to face Regina.
"Why did we stop?" Regina asked.
"Look around."
It didn't take long for Regina to realize why Robin had stopped there. "This is the place where you found me reading that letter. ...The place I first opened up to you after we cast the second Dark Curse. Why are we here?"
"So I can ask you something. Properly." Robin pulled a black velvet box out of his pocket and opened it before he got down on one knee. "Regina Mills, you are the light of my life and I can't imagine living without you. From the day we first met in the Enchanted Forest to our battle through Tartarus and beyond, I have loved you with my entire soul. So would you do me the honor of becoming my wife?"
Regina's smile had been growing all throughout Robin's mini speech. When he finally asked the question, Regina replied, "Didn't I already give you my answer? Yes, of course I will marry you."
Robin stood up and slid the ring on Regina's ring finger before she pulled him into a kiss.

That night, Emma invited everyone over for a dinner to celebrate the engagement since they had just eaten at Granny's the night before. Her table wasn't quite big enough for everyone though, so they all piled into the living room and sat on couches, chairs, or even the floor. Mary Margaret wanted to know every detail of the proposal and so Regina was pulled away from her fiancé and forced to tell her, Emma, and Belle all about it. Hook and David both congratulated Robin, but neither of them needed to know every single detail like the girls did.
"Wait, so he went through all that trouble to give you a real proposal even though you already said yes?" Mary Margaret asked. "That is so cute!"
The conversation topic eventually turned to Mary Margaret and Emma warning Belle about her next eight month of pregnancy she had ahead of her before the guys decided it was late and it was time to go home.

Belle's baby bump was quite obvious by this point in her pregnancy even though she wore plenty of thick coats as the temperatures dropped and fall came. She had been recruited by Mary Margaret and Emma to help Regina with the wedding plans after Regina had kicked Robin out of the wedding planners' group when it was obvious he had no idea what was going on.
Mary Margaret was in charge of most of the plans, and she had decided a spring wedding would be nice. Also, Belle would be able to be a bridesmaid without her baby inside of her. She, Emma, and Belle were planning on deciding on bridesmaid dresses when Belle met them at the Charmings' place.
"Rumple and I found out if our baby is going to be a boy or girl today!" Belle announced.
"Really?" Emma asked. "I thought you were going to let it be a surprise?"
"Well we were, but then we both gave in at the ultrasound today--"
"So what's it going to be?!" Mary Margaret interrupted.
Belle smiled. "We're having a little girl."

Mary Margaret, Emma, and Regina had temporarily put aside planning for Regina and Robin's wedding so they could throw a baby shower for Belle. Emma made the invitation list, Mary Margaret decorated Emma's house, and Regina was in charge of food.
Ruby, Mulan, Aurora, Ashely, Merida, and Tinker Bell were invited and they all showed up on time. Emma's living room was full of pink streamers and balloons. Regina had made cookies with pink frosting and found plenty of other pink sweets for the snacks. When Belle arrived, Mary Margaret shut the lights off in the living room and Emma left to open the door. She led Belle to the dark room and flipped the switch on.
Everyone shouted "SURPRISE!" and Belle smiled.
"Thank you!"
While the girls hosted Belle's baby shower, the guys were in charge of watching the kids. They had taken over the Charmings' apartment in an effort to contain Roland and baby Phillip, Alex, and Neal while their mothers (or almost step-mothers, Roland's case) were gone.
When the baby shower ended, the guys were more than relieved that they could leave. Henry said that next time, he would rather just stay home alone at Regina's than help with multiple babies and a six-year-old.

It was nearly three in the morning when Mary Margaret's phone rang. She answered, but hardly even got a 'Hello' out before Belle started shouting; "THE BABY'S COMING!"
Mary Margaret jumped out of bed. "I'm on my way. Do you want me to bring Emma too?"
"GAH-- YES!"
"I'm on my way!" Mary Margaret hung up and put her winter coat on before waking David up. "Belle's baby is coming, I gotta go. Call Regina for me, would you?"
"Okay," David agreed, still half asleep. Mary Margaret pressed a kiss to his lips before rushing out the door and speeding the entire drive to Emma's. Emma was ready to go when Mary Margaret got there because Mary Margaret had called her on the drive over.
Belle and Gold were already at the hospital and all it took was Emma threatening to throw the nurse into the wall for them to be allowed into Belle's room.
Doctor Whale looked over at Emma nervously when she and Mary Margaret entered and Emma just rolled her eyes. "Belle is going into labor and you're worried I'm going to chuck you across the room again?!"
❃
Regina had no idea why David was calling her so early in the morning, but it must have been fairly urgent, so she answered the phone without hesitation. "Hello?"
"Belle's baby is coming and Mary Margaret wanted me to tell you."
"Does she want me at the hospital?"
"No idea."
Regina was about to respond when Merlin - who hadn't appeared since they had gotten back from the Underworld - materialized.
"Go," he said, "they'll need you."
"Okay," Regina said both to Merlin and David. She hung up and woke Robin. "Baby Gold is coming and I need to be at the hospital. If I'm not back by breakfast time, Henry knows how to make hot cocoa."
"Be safe."
"I will," Regina promised. She kissed Robin quickly before rushing downstairs to throw her coat on and rush to the hospital.

Doctor Whale handed the Golds' baby to Belle. "She was born at 8:34 am on January 7th."
Belle smiled down at her daughter and Gold stood next to her, a smile also growing on his face. "She's beautiful," Belle whispered.
"Oh, I do have to agree with that," Zelena and Arthur walked into the room and with one wave of Zelena's hand, everyone in the room was frozen in place. "She's beautiful and perfect for what I need her for. Don't worry, you won't remember I took her soon enough. Now let's see, I came here for four ingredients. Arthur, dear, would you fetch me Belle's coat? And I will gladly remove my sister's heart."
