"No thanks, I think I'll pass." I glanced up from my phone.

"Come on it'll be super fun." Jaime smiled.

"Plus Raven is going and she is more emo than you, you've got to go." Garfield said.

"Yeah does Raven know that?" I asked.

"Not yet."

"That's what I thought."

Timeskip

We got out of the car.

"I can't believe I let you guys talk me into this." I adjusted my trench coat.

"Leave the gear in the car." Starfire stared me down.

I sighed and took off my trench coat, I placed it in the car. We walked to the front gate.

"I didn't realize that your coat was a piece of weaponry." Damian seemed a bit confused.

"To be honest dude, are you surprised? I mean that necklace she's wearing is magical." Garfield explained.

"Yes it is, it's an anti-possession pendant. I've seen them before." Damian nodded.

"Yeah." I said not even paying attention to the conversation.

Everyone ran off towards games and rides. My phone went off. I pulled it out of my pocket. 

Dad Constantine

I quickly answered to phone.

"Kayla are you alright?!" My father said in his thick British ascent.

"I'm fine dad, I'm so glad you called..."

"There is something dark coming your way."

"What do you mean? Dad you're not making any sense."

He mumbled something.

I felt a burning on my back.
"What the.."

"Don't worry, that was me. It was a protection spell."

"Dad, what's going on?"

"You're fine now, enjoy the rest of your carnival."

"Dad, wait how did you know I was.." I turned to see my dad sitting on top of game booth. He smiled.

"I've got to go, but enjoy your carnival, I'm almost done with my job right now, I'll visit you soon."

"Dad I.."

A crowd of people walked in front of me and they had passed he was gone.
