I was just sitting in my windowsill watching the people outside travelling to work and the different animals strolling or for the birds soaring around the neighborhood. Everything was quiet for around five minutes before the morning school rush began loads of teens around my age started to walk towards the school that I go to, I only live around three minutes away and I was ready by 7:40 this morning and school doesn't start until 8:20 so I had some time to check that I had all my books, my tutor's notes and that I had my lunch money all in my bag before grabbing my violin for practicing during break and lunch with Lily and Alice before waiting for them at the door so we could walk to school together. You see they are my only friends in this place and luckily for me, they both speak fluent French, Italian, German, Spanish, Romanian, Russian, Welsh, obviously English and Greek and a big help when it comes to those classes is school they tutor me in languages and I tutor them in music and archery so it's a win win situation for us but when it comes to maths, science, DT, ICT and reading and writing we all have a tutor.

"Hey, Serena." They chorused while walking down the stairs, Gods I hate it when they do that and they know that for definite.

"Is it normal main hall assembly or singing main hall assembly today?" I ask the one that I think is Alice, seeing as Alice has a photographic memory and is naturally perfect looking and Lily is just all round beautiful with their perfect long princess curled brunette hair, light brown eyes, absolutely flawless skin and perfect hourglass figure, then there's me with my waist length wavy ginger hair, grayish-blue eyes, slim and athletic figure and freckle splattered skin. They are two of the most popular girls in school while I am the weird girl that no one wants to be around, well apart from Alice and Lily that is.

"Singing." She stated simply.

"Uuuugggghhh, Μισώ το τραγούδι στη συναρμολόγηση (ugggghhhh I hate singing in assembly)" I groaned to my best friends/adoptive sisters and they just laughed at that and continued chuckling at me until we reached the main hall of the school but what surprised us was that there were eight people who look to be new students to the school, as we were sitting in our seat our headmaster, Mr James, started walking towards the podium on the left hand side of the front of the hall.

"Bore dda blwydden un ar ddeg." He projected his voice loud enough for us to hear when we are right at the back of the hall with empty seats around us that I'm guessing are for the new students.

"Bore dda, Mr James." The majority of the hall replied in unison to the headmaster.

"Today as you have probably guessed already, we have a few new students, so instead of me talking after the singing will be handing it over to the new students. And today there will be a single student that will be singing on their own. So if the form teachers could please bring the names of students up and put into this hat one of the new students will pick a name at random." He said while holding out a hat for the teachers to do as he requested and the student who was going to pick the name was a girl who looked around 15 with jet black hair with highlights of silver throughout, electric blue eyes, pale skin, she was around 5ft 7" tall and with a very athletic figure, she stepped towards the headmaster at slowly puts her hand inside the hat and moves it around a bit then pulls a piece of paper out, takes a deep breath and announced.

"Serena Bella" In a very cheerful voice that I wish she didn't have right now, as I slowly and very hesitantly made my way up to the front of the hall while fiddling with the sleeves of my jumper.
"Well, Serena what are you going to sing?" Mr James asked as I reached him, the first song that popped into my head that I learnt of by heart and know most people here know was 'The world in union' when I whispered the name of the song into his ear he smiled down at me and went to tell Miss Edwards the piano player the song choice and she started playing the melody.

I sang to the top of my lungs and before today no one in this hall other than Alice and Lily have heard me sing on my own, so I was just standing there being totally awkward. So me being me I tried to run back to me seat but on my way the school bully and my personal tormentor, Jake Nicks, tripped me and I fell right on my face and everyone around me apart from the new students, Alice, Lily and Miss Stevens the school nurse laughed, even the head teacher laughed. And as I started to push myself of the ground I felt several pairs of hands help me up, as I looked to see who helped me get up I saw it was the new kids. Alright I really need to learn their names.

"Thank you, but you didn't have to help me." I say sheepishly as I lower my head to look towards the ground.

"Hey, it's okay." Replied a girl with waist length brown hair, flawlessly tanned skin and light brown eyes.

"Why didn't anyone else help you up?" Questioned the girl who picked my name from the hat. And once again I looked down towards my feet.

"No one other than Miss Stevens, Alice and Lily actually likes me or even talks to me." I mumbled, hey what it's true everyone thinks that I'm a freaky little Greek dyslexic orphan with ADHD, but even then in school Alice and Lily hardly ever see or talk to me, so in school I have basically no one. And I'm guessing that I said that out loud because all of the new kids are looking at me sympathetically, under their gazes I start to fidget around on my feet.

"Aren't you guys supposed to be taking the assembly right now?" I questioned them, trying my hardest to get the attention of me. And it's like they were just snapped back into reality as they all shook their heads and smiled half-hearten smiles and walked back up to the front as I made my way back towards Alice and Lily.

"Hey, um... we don't really know how to start introducing ourselves, so we will go one by one instead." A blonde female said.

"Right, so, I'm Annabeth Chase." The blonde girl that I now know as Annabeth says. Next to introduce them self is the one that picked my name.

"I'm, Thalia Grace." Next was a blonde haired boy with electric blue eyes.

"I'm, Jason Grace " next was one with jet black hair and sea green eyes.

"I'm, Percy Jackson" after him was a girl with really curly dark brown hair, caramel colored skin and brown eyes.

"I'm, Hazel Levesque" after her was a boy who had black hair with warm brown eyes.

"I'm, Frank Zhang" Now the next person looks like someone who loves attention with curly dark brown hair, brown eyes and a Latino complexion.

"I'm, Leo Valdez" and next was the one that has lovely bronze hair that I just realized had a feather in it and flawless skin.

"I'm, Pipper McLean" after they said their names I only just realized that they all had American accents, well Leo had a slight Latino accent but it sounded mostly American. Then Thalia stepped forward once again.

"If you can't tell be the way we are taking most of the time, we are from America and we all went to the same school. So, please if anyone has any questions about us you can ask away." She said but as soon as she finished her sentence all of the popular's put their hands up.

"Yep." She said pointing towards Gwen Willows, another person who makes it her daily mission to torture me.

"Why did you help the freak up?" At this a majority of the hall nods in agreement, I guess that's what they were all thinking of asking. At that question Thalia, Jason, Leo, Percy and Frank all glared and Annabeth, Hazel and Pipper all had to hold Jason, Percy and Frank back but no one was quick enough to stop Leo and Thalia. Out of nowhere there was a lightning storm outside and the lights went out.

"We helped her because she is a human being and we have all been in a similar position to her before so leave her alone." Thalia said in a scarily calm voice that made me want to hide in the depths of Tartarus and stay there for the rest of my life. Okay one thing I definitely will NEVER do in my entire life is get on her bad side.

"So, if you are only going to insult others, take their feelings into account." She added to the end and once she finished there was a final 'CRASH' of thunder and final 'flash' of lighting and the storm went away as well as the lights turning back on. At their actions of trying to stop the others from being mean to me I just went over to Thalia and Leo.

"Σας ευχαριστώ, κανένας άλλος εκτός από Alice ή Lily έχουν σταθεί ποτέ για μένα (Thank you, no one other than Alice and Lily have ever stood up for me)" I thanked Thalia and Leo but what i didn't know was that i thanked them in Greek. They turned to me from giving the others death glares and smiled at me.

"Παρακαλώ (your welcome)" Thalia replied, but surprisingly she replied to me in Greek.

"εσυ ξερεις ΕΛΛΗΝΙΚΑ? (you know Greek?)" I said in shock that she knows my birth language but she just smiled at me and nodded her head.

"και εμεις το ΙΔΙΟ (so do we)" the other new kids said in unison.

"Ω θεοί του Ολύμπου (oh gods of Olympus)" I muttered but knew that they could here me as they started laughing their heads of, just then the bell for the school lessons of the day to start went off.

"Could Serena Bella and the new students please stay behind." Mr James announced while dismissing the rest of the hall. Once everyone left Mr James walked towards us which made the others stop laughing.

"Serena as you can understand the language they were just talking in and know this school like the back of your hand, could you please be their guide for the first few weeks and they are in your classes so I hope that you can help them catch up." He said towards me and then motioned for us to go to our first class which happens to be my favorite in the school which is P.E.

"Okay well, we better get to our first lesson otherwise coach will have our heads." I told them while starting of towards the gym. "Follow please." Then a thought occurred to me. "Have you got a P.E kit?" I questioned.

"Yeah, we had a feeling we would need them." Jason said. I was just smiling because no one in the school has been better at anything in P.E than me, Alice and Lily we were coach's favorite students.

"What are your favorite sports?" I ask them with curiosity in my voice.

"Sprints." was Jason, Percy, Leo and Frank's replies while Annabeth, Hazel, Pipper and Thalia rolled their eyes and replied with "Gymnastics."

"Cool, we do a range of activities in P.E." I explained to them about the running track, the gymnasium, the tennis courts, the football/rugby fields, the weights room and of course my most favorite own is the climbing wall as I was finishing my sentence we had just arrived at the gym where we were having P.E today. And like always I still manage to make it to class first. So I showed the boys which changing room to use and took the girls to ours so we could change and when we were done we all went into the gym where coach Phil, was setting up the different apparatus that we were using with the help of Alice and Lily so I went over to help and bring out the crash mats and the practice swords (today was a battle imaginative class) and when we were finished the rest of the class came in so I decided to ask coach if Alice, Lily and myself could do the demonstration for the class.

"Coach Phil, could me and the twins do the demo?, as we have new students and knowing what you are like you would want to show off." I asked him while whispering the last part in his ear and when I finished all he was doing was nodding his head frantically. 

"You know what the answer will be, Serena. But first let's see if everyone is here." And with that I walk back over to Thalia, Jason, Leo, Percy, Frank, Hazel, Pipper and Annabeth to introduce them to Coach Phil, Alice and Lily.

"Hey guys, I have three people I would like to introduce you to." I tell them and we walk over to Alice and Lily first.

"Hey Al, Lil's these are Thalia, Annabeth, Hazel, Pipper, Leo, Percy, Frank and Jason, guys these are my adoptive twin sisters Alice and Lily." I introduce them and they all shake hands.

"Thanks for helping..." Lily started. Oh no their doing the twin thing.

"...Serena earlier." Alice finished, yep twin thing.

"I asked you guys how many times have I asked you two to stop doing your twin telepathy thing, it's annoying." I scolded them. They just held up their hands in mock surrender.

"So are we doing it today?" They asked in unison AGAIN.

"How many, never mind and yes we are." I replied starting off annoyed and finishing with a sly smile creeping onto my face, at this the others seemed to get fidgety suggesting that they were nervous.

"Alright one person left to show you then it's time for the 'thing'." I told them while directing them towards Coach Phil.

"Coach Phil, these are the new students, guys this is our P.E coach, Coach Phil." I said.

"You ready to show 'em what you got Serena?" Coach asked, while a Cheshire cat like grin appears on his face.

"Coach you know the answer better than anyone, I'm always ready. Well you lot better sit down and Coach whenever you are ready blow the whistle." I said while motioning for the group of people to sit down and winking at my sisters (our secret signal) and once everyone was seated Alice, Lily and myself all put the protective amour on and got in position and a minute afterwards Coach blew the whistle and both Alice and Lily came after me and tried to tackle me and injure me with various kicks and punches but I managed to either block or return them and then to take the twins down long enough to grab a sword or to get to another part of the gym and use the apparatus set up I round-house kicked their ankles and they landed hard on their back sending a 'BANG' reverberating through the room and I sprinted as fast as I could and picked up two twin blade swords and when I turned around I saw the twins right behind me so I held the blades to their necks and they stopped and started panting to try and get their breath back while I wasn't even breaking a sweat. The rest of the class started clapping as none of them other than Coach Phil has seen us do this or anything remotely close to it before.

"Anyone else want to try and beat Serena?" The twins as well as Coach Phil called out while I just smiled and took a mock bow, surprising everyone in the room apart from the rest of the newbies, Thalia put her hand up and stood up coming towards me.

"How about we see how much better you are without amour, shall we?" She asked once she reached me.

"Deal" I replied while holding out me hand for a handshake, but before we could even take our stances, the wall to the left of us demolished and in its place stood a.... MINOTAUR?!?! What in the name of the gods?????

"A-A-Am I crazy or is there a Minotaur standing right in front of us?" I ask no one in particular but surprisingly Percy, Annabeth, Leo, Jason, Thalia and Frank all run at the creature while Hazel and Pipper. Annabeth with a dagger and a baseball cap, Thalia with a bow and arrows that have literally appeared out of nowhere, Jason with a coin that changed into a sword, Leo with a hammer???, Percy with a ballpoint pen that also changes into a sword and Frank just running and changing into a.... tiger!!!!! What in Hades is going on?!?!?!

"Uhhh..... Al, Lil's are you seeing what I'm seeing?" I asked my sisters while walking back towards them.

"Y-y-yeah, we think so." They answered uncertainly looking in the same direction as me. As I re concentrated on the scene in front of us I realized that the Minotaur had threw Percy, Jason, Leo and Frank across the room and rendered them unconscious and that Thalia and Annabeth were struggling to try and kill the beast. It was just then that I heard the feminine voice in my head that I haven't heard since I was young.

'Pull on your necklace and help your friends, my child' was all she said before vanishing and so I did as told and a beautiful silver bow and quiver of arrows appeared with the the bow in my hands and the quiver on my waist on both the bow and quiver was a print design of the moon. So with my natural archery instincts coming in handy I strung an arrow and raised it towards the beasts heart.

"GET DOWN, NOW!!" I yelled to Thalia and Annabeth and they did as told not even questioning why and I let the arrow loose and I hit dead center of the beast's heart and it vanished into golden mist. Afterwards I helped Annabeth and Thalia up all us girls ran to the boys to make sure they were alright. With Pipper and Alice checking Jason, Annabeth and Lily checking Percy and Hazel, Thalia and myself checking Leo and Frank.

"Hey Frank, Leo you two okay?" I asked, all I got in reply was grunts of pain but also heard them coming from Percy and Jason as well making all us girls roll our eyes.

"BOYS!!!!!" We yelled in unison scaring the Hades out of the boys and causing them to jump to their feet and knock heads with Pipper, Annabeth, Hazel and myself which caused us to start falling backwards. But luckily the boys caught us which turned out to be Percy catching Annabeth, Frank catching Hazel, Jason catching Pipper and Leo catching me, it was only now that I realized he had a beautiful shade of chocolate brown eyes that seemed to sparkle in the light.... okay now it's starting to get awkward, I looked towards Thalia and my sisters for help with the situation and it seemed that only Thalia wanted us out of this situation because I swear I could hear my sisters making ship names for all of us making me blush.

"Um... I think we may need to tell their mom that we need to take them to camp. So please put the girls DOWN!!!!" Thalia yelled towards the four boys and earning a glare from each boy and a grateful look from the four girls stuck in the situations of the boys starting at them. Like I said awkward. Once the boys released us girls we sprinted to the changing rooms to grab our bags and it was only then that I realized that my bow and quiver of arrows turned back into the necklace I have had since I was a baby, I had the design of the moon with an arrow going through it, which also happened to be the symbol of Artemis, goddess of the hunt, archery (along with Apollo) and the moon.

"Hey, Serena?" Pipper said, so I turned towards her.

"Yeah, Pipper? What is it?" I asked her.

"Where did the bow and quiver come from and where did they go?" She asked with a curious look that straight away had Annabeth and Thalia's attention and I just pulled out my necklace.

"I have had this necklace since I was a baby and I used to hear a feminine voice say comforting things to me in the orphanage when I was in Greece and say that when the time is right the necklace will help me. I thought it was a sing from the Gods. And a couple of minutes ago when I saw the boys unconscious and Annabeth and Thalia struggling to defeat the monster. I heard the voice say 'Pull on your necklace and help your friends, my child' and when I did well.... that's where I got my bow and quiver and I'm guessing that it turned back into the necklace when the monster was defeated." I explained to them, when I was done Annabeth and Thalia both had wide eyes and were looking back and forth from me to my necklace. 

"I think we better get going, because if that myth is real then I really do not want to meet any of his friends." I said snapping them out of their trance and back to reality.

"Yeah, your right there." Annabeth said while Pipper and Hazel were trying to keep my sisters calm and explaining about all the different Greek myths and legends that I have heard from before I can remember.

"So, what other myths and legends are true exactly?" I asked Annabeth while waiting for the boys outside.

"Well, all of them, really." She answered.

"Okay, so, Medusa, Prometheus, Circe and the Gods are all real?" I questioned her not noticing Percy come up behind me until he answered the question I just asked.

"Oh, they are real all right me and Annabeth have had personal experience with each." He said and with my natural instincts of self defense I flipped him over my shoulder and pined his arms behind his back getting an 'Owwww' from said boy.

"Sorry, Percy. But seriously don't sneak up on me. Wait you have met Medusa, Prometheus AND the Gods and still live. Frank and the girls I can understand but you, Jason and Leo.... not so much." I said and was met by the girls and Frank laughing and Jason, Leo and Percy glaring at me.

"She's got you there, Seaweed brain." Annabeth said in between fits of laughter and Pipper, Thalia and Hazel all nodded in agreement.

"So, wait if the monsters and gods are real, what about Demi-gods are they real??" I questioned because out of all the myths and legends, the legend of Artemis and the stories of Demi-gods were always my favorite. They all just toppled over in laughter and were met with the confused faces of Alice, Lily and myself.

"What?" The twins asked yet again in unison.

"Have you not guessed yet?" Thalia asked, to which I slowly started shaking my head but then stopped.

'OH MY GODS, the thunder and lightning, the lights turning off..'

"Ω θεοί του Ολύμπου" I muttered but of course they heard and started of another round of laughter.

"You're all Demi-gods?" I ask to see if I was correct.

"Ding, ding, ding" was Leo's response.

"So, just a question of pure curiosity now, who are your godly parents?" I asked while basically bouncing of the balls my feet, what you can't blame me I love the stories about Demi-gods such as Achilles, Perseus and Hercules.

"Athena" Okay so Annabeth is the daughter of the goddess of wisdom and battle strategy.

"Hephaestus" Leo is the son of the blacksmith of the gods and god of fire.

"Mars" Frank is the son of the roman equivalent of Ares god of war.

"Aphrodite" Pipper is the daughter of the goddess of beauty and love.

"Pluto" Hazel is the daughter of the roman equivalent of the king of the Underworld and gaurdian of Tartarus.

"Poseidon" Percy is the son of the God of the sea and earthquakes and creator of horses.

"Jupiter" Jason is the son of the roman equivalent of Zues king of the gods and god of the skies.

"Zeus" And finally Thalia is the daughter of the king of the gods and god of the skies.

"Wait, doesn't that mean that Zeus, Poseidon and Hades broke their vow from having any children ever again?" I asked them after remembering the legend of the big 3 taking an oath to not have children after WW2.

"Yes and it was twice for all of them but Hazel here doesn't count." Annabeth said but that just added more confusion to the situation.

"Huh?" Real classy, Serena. I scolded myself.

"I was born in the 1940's but something happened and well I went to the Underworld because I died and a few years ago my half-brother, Nico found me and brought me back." Okay now it makes sense.

"Okay, so, you have Hazel who doesn't break the oath and you have Thalia and Jason that Zeus broke the oath, Percy that Poseidon broke the oath, this Nico, dude where Hades did break the oath but who are the other two?" I asked making sure that I knew about it before this camp or what ever.

"Well, you have Percy's half-brother/cyclops Tyson, who is actually a big kid more than anything. And you have Nico's sister, Bianca who unfortunately died on a quest." Thalia explained.

"Sorry, I'm just to curious for my own good." I told them as we stepped into my house and headed to the living room and knowing mum for a few years you learn that at this time of day she is either in the music room playing the piano or in the living room reading one of her mythology books that she got from me for Christmas because she was interested in Greek mythology.

"Mum, we're home early today." I called out as we stepped into a empty living room, just then I heard the piano in the music room playing, Sky fall by Adele, one of mum's favorite songs.

"Hey, Al, Lil's you thinking what I'm thinking?" I asked them, because like I said earlier we play our own instruments, actually they took more of a liking to drums and bass guitar while I can play multiple instruments.

"Yep" and again with the speaking in unison.

"Okay, you grab your guitar, Lily and Alice set up the drums as quietly as you can behind mum and I will grab my guitar and the microphone for Lily seeing as she knows the lyrics of-by-heart." I told them and I showed our new friends (yes we decided to call each other friends on the way home) to the music room and put a finger to my lips motioning them to stay quiet, to which they nodded. And I raced off to get the guitar and the microphone that was in my room over the week because I make up my own songs. Once I had both in my hands, I sprinted back to the music room which unfortunately is on the other side of the house and this house is huge, but I finally made it and still not out of breath.

"What took you so long? Alice and Lily are waiting behind your mum." Hazel asked.

"Well my room is on the fourth floor on the other side of the house so I had to run up two flights of stairs and sprint down five hallways and get the guitar down from the top shelf in my bedroom and run back here." I explained while creeping into the music room and setting up the mic and sorting out the guitars and checking the drums and we started playing along with mum as it was one of the first songs we learnt together since I was adopted by mum three or four years ago.

By the end of the song mum still didn't realize we were there, she must have her headphones in.

"Do you reckon mum has the sound cancelling headphones in or the ones where she has to have the volume one full to actually hear the song?" I asked the twins.

"Noise cancelling headphones if she can't hear Alice on drums then it is definitely noise cancelling." Lily said while rubbing her ear that was closest to the drums, she's not wrong there though Alice is really loud on the drums.

"Your not wrong there." Then an idea came into my head and I swear that we will probably be shouted at by mum, but it's worth it.

"On the count of 3..." Lily said so that we knew when.

"1..."

"....2..."

"....3!!!!" We said in unison and started creeping towards mum.

"BOO!!!" We yelled while clamping our hands down on mum's shoulders simultaneously causing mum to jump out of her skin and whip around just to see the there of us dieing of laughter and hearing the others giggling once she took the headphones out.

"Alice Harriet Jones, Lily Sophia Jones and Serena May Bella, what have I told you about creeping up on me like that?" Mum scolded us three that straight away stopped us laughing and have wide eyes as she has never full named us.

"Uhhh.... mum, w-we have guests." I stuttered gesturing to the group behind mum "they're new to the country and we were hoping that we could introduce them to you." I finished after mum turned around.

"Hello, dears. I'm guessing that you are... oh, what do Americans call them, Ah.... Half-bloods?" Mum asked, earning shocked faces from all of us teens. "Don't worry, I'm not a monster, but I am one of you, though I only see one of my half-siblings here." She finished once she realized that the others were looking back and forth from each other nervously.

"If you don't mind us asking, who's child are you?" Pipper asked politely to mum.

"Well, I don't mind you asking, but I would have thought that you would have guessed with me and the music room and I doubt the girls have showed you the library, but I'm not a 'normal' Demi-god, I'm a daughter of both Athena and Apollo." Mum said to them, wait doesn't that make her a goddess, I'm guessing that the others had the same idea because they all asked simultaneously.

"Okay.... Wait, what?!?!"
