"Are you serious?!" I squealed excitedly. My mom just got me Panic! At The Disco VIP tickets!!

She chuckled. "Yes, Ashlynn, I'm serious. You and Ryder can go." She said.

I smiled widely and texted Ryder. 'GUESS WHAT!!!!'

'WHAAAT???'

'MY MOM GOT US P!ATD VIP TICKETS!!'

'NO WAY!!'

'YES WAY!!'

Even though, I never thought I wouldn't be able to go to that concert.......

~~Present Time~~

I shut the hood to a 1966 rambler right as the phone rang. I wiped the sweat off my head and put my flannel shirt on.

"YOUNG!" Mr. Johnson yelled, waving me over.

All the guys eyed me as I walked, so I flipped them off. I got to the teacher and looked at him.

"Yes?"

"Office, now."

"Ohhh." The class teased, I just ignored them.

I went to the office, humming 'Hallelujah' by Panic! At The Disco.

I got to the office to see a lady that I've never seen before.

"Ashlynn Young?" She asked.

"Yes....?"

"I'd like to talk to you. I'm Agent Gibbs with DSS." She said.

DSS? What is she doing here?? I thought to myself.

"Okay." I said, walking with her.

"There's something we need to tell you." She stated.

"Alright....?"

"Its about your mother."

My eyes widened.
"I-Is she okay?"

She sighed.
"No, unfortunately."

"W-What happened?"

"She died."

My heart shattered right then and there. She was my best friend in the whole world and now she's gone?!

"H-How?"

"A murderer is going around killing women, so I suggest you go to your nearest family member."

I nodded and went to get my stuff when I saw Ryder, who walked up to me.

"Hey!" He said.

"H-Hey..." I returned, trying not to cry.

"Ash, what's wrong?" He asked me.

"M-My mom was murdered..."

Ryder instantly hugged me, which made me hug back. I cried into his shoulder.

"Shhhh...." He shushed me. I looked into his blue eyes.

Sometimes I wish he was MORE than my best friend. I thought to myself.

I cleared my throat and looked away, blushing lightly.

"Need help getting your stuff?" He asked.

I didn't want her to be sad, I hated seeing her sad.

She wiped a tear away and looked at me with big innocent green eyes.

"Y-Yeah..."

I smiled and took her hand, walking to her locker.

I didn't notice that she was blushing until she looked down at her feet.

I blushed and looked down, smiling softly to myself.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah.." I told him with a smile. He smiled back and continued to go to my locker.

I smiled at him. "Thanks, Ryder."

"No problem, Ash."

"See ya around, maybe?"

"Most definitely." He chuckled as he kissed my cheek, which made me blush.

I smiled at her as she got in her car and drove off. "Bye, Ashlynn." I mumbled sadly.
