prologue

"Honey, take the baby and get out of here!" Herobrine yelled.

"No! I need to fight with you! I need to help! Even if I am a mortal!" Herobrine's wife, Christina, yelled back.

"Don't you want to live? Heroline to live?" Herobrine asked as he fired more fireballs at the attackers. A group of people came to the nether to try and kill Herobrine.

Christina thought for a moment. Of course she wanted her child to live.

"But what about you?" Christina looked at her husband.

"I'm fine. Don't worry. I can't die, remember?" Herobrine assured her.

"Okay, I'll go to the over world, meet me after you defeat these guys." Christina said as she went down the hall. She stopped by the nursery to get her baby.

She came to see that her baby was there, but not in her crib. She was being held by Steve, Herobrine's brother.

"We can't let Herobrine raise his child. He is evil. A killer. No little girl should be raised by him." Steve said as he ran out the hole in the wall that he had made to get in there.

"No! Please!" Christina yelled as she ran after him.

Once Christina was able to catch up, Steve jumped through a nether portal, destroying it behind him.

Christina started crying. "My child. How could someone be so... Cruel?" She sobbed out.

She remembered the people that are trying to kill her husband and got up. She wished she could just teleport there, but she was mortal. Herobrine was the one with all the powers.

Since she couldn't teleport, she ran back to her husband, her dry tears on her cheeks burning a little.

She made it there to see all the players gone, the nether portal they had came in destroyed, and Herobrine on his knees on the floor.

"Hero?" Christina asked as she crept over.

"They... They are gone... Steve came through this portal holding our baby. He laughed, showing her to me, before he went back through the portal." Herobrine said calmly.

"I know, Steve was in the nursery when I got there. He said-"

"I don't want to know. I can predict what he said. He never approved of me, and when I had a kid..." Herobrine trailed off.

Christina walked beside Herobrine and sat on the floor next to him. He got off his knees and sat normally.

His face was emotionless, but Christina could tell he was sad. He loved that little girl. He wouldn't be all 'kill and murder' around her.

She had changed him. Christina knew that. He was always so kind and thoughtful when it came to his little girl. And he tried so hard to make sure nothing hurt her.

"She is almost one..." Herobrine said as he held back tears. Sure, he is cold hearted sometimes but, he still has emotions. Love, hurt, happiness, even sadness.

"I know... Three days to be exact." Christina said as she leaned on him. A single tear found it's way down Herobrine's cheek.

Christina hugged him for support. "We'll get little Heroline back. I know it." Christina said.

Herobrine stood up suddenly, startling Christina. He was always so unpredictable.

"What are you doing, Hero?" Christina asked, watching him wearily.

"I'm going to lay down. Get my thoughts straight." Herobrine said, not facing her. He walked down the hall and stopped at the nursery.

"Steve, your in for a heck of an awakening. Just wish I still had it in me. When I get back to full power, watch out." Herobrine said to the empty room before continuing down the hall.

He made it to the end of the hall and walked into a bedroom. He collapsed on one of the beds.

He sighed and got under the covers. He drifted to sleep after a couple minutes of thinking.
