Ch4; Confusion
The bell rang and Gabby stood up. Kids were laughing at her and she didn't know why.
She went to her locker and packed her supplies in her book bag. She shut her locker and went to go out the doors.
Until something grabbed her.
She turned around to see Ashton holding her arm. "You scared me!" She said as she got out of his grip.
"I'm sorry! It's just... Is Steve really your dad?" Ashton asked.
"Yes! I hate lying! Gezz." She started walking off again. This time Ashton didn't grab her.
She turned down the side walk and went towards the woods. She started humming the song 'Don't Let Me Down' by The Chainsmokers. (I think...)
She stopped humming and started singing as she walked down the path.
"I say your name when your not around..." She started. Although she stopped because she saw something in the distance that caught her attention.
A house? Gabby thought. She then looked around her. It was her house. She was so caught up in her thoughts, she didn't realize how long she had been walking.
She walked to the house and knocked. Her dad opened the door. He had his head turned towards the clock on the wall.
"You clearly have been taking your time. It has been twenty minutes since your school let out, yet it only took ten minutes for me to walk there and back just to see how long it took." Steve said once she was inside.
"I'm sorry dad, I got distracted on the way home." Gabby apologized.
"How so?" Steve asked.
"I was humming to myself and I wasn't looking for the house." Gabby answered as she looked down.
"You and your singing..." Steve laughed a little to himself. He had always loved it when she sang.
"Oh! I almost forgot!" Gabby said. "There is a parent teacher conference tonight and you have to be there!"
"Yes, I think I remember the phone call, sweetie." Steve said.
"Oh, yeah. Oops..." Gabby said. "Forgot."
"Well, let's hurry up and go." Steve said as he grabbed the keys. He looked at gabby.
She followed him. He started walking down the path. Gabby right behind him.
"Hey, dad?"
"Yes, sweetie?"
"Don't you need your sword?" Gabby asked as she looked at the sky.
"Nah, were good." He answered as he turned the corner. Gabby just nodded and kept walking.
In no time they were outside the school. "Ready?" Steve asked as he entered the building. He didn't wait for Gabby's answer.
They were used to it. With Steve being, Steve, they move around a lot.
Gabby showed him where to go. They then got to the teacher that gave her troubles. And that didn't believe her.
"Hey, Mr. Burgant." Said Gabby. He turned around from what he was doing and started, mouth a gap.
"You weren't lying..." The teacher walked over to Steve and started touching his face.
"Why are you,um... Touching my face?" Steve stepped back.
"To see if you were real..." The teacher said as he stopped. "Let's start." He pretended that it never happened.
Steve just rolled his eyes and listened.

Herobrine smirked as he looked at himself in the mirror.
"I look just like my brother..." He said as he looked at his eyes.
They weren't the cold, soulless, murderous, and basically glowing eyes they were. They were now electric blue, filled with warmth, kindness, and, most importantly, normal. People won't suspect a thing.
He teleported to the over world.
"Hey! You! Where did you come from?" A man that was walking up the path Herobrine teleported on said.
Herobrine took a deep breath and turned around. "Uh... What do you want?" Herobrine asked with a mean tone.
He soon remembered that he was undercover.
"Sorry, I didn't mean for that to sound mean. I'm Steve." Herobrine recovered. That was close...
"Hm. You sound familiar..." The man said, holding his hand up to his chin.
"Daddy! Stop playin'! That's Steve as in Notches brother!" A little girl came out from behind him. She looked about five.
The man chuckled and picked his daughter up. Herobrine watched the man intensely, wishing he would have been able to do that with his daughter.
He quickly got out of his thoughts. "Yep. That's me, good ole Steve!" Herobrine said.
"You sound different..." The little girl said as she jumped out of her dads hands.
She started inspecting Herobrine, walking around him in circles. "Just a... Cold... Yeah..." Herobrine said, sweat dripping from his forehead.
His cover was going to be blown before his little plan even started because he forgot his voice was... How would you say.... Meaner.
"Okay...." The little girl eyeballed him as she walked back over to her dad.
"I'm so sorry about little Cassandra here... She is skeptical of everyone." The man said as he looked down at his kid.
Cassandra... Sounds so much like my wife's name, Christina. Who also wishes she could've seen little Heroline like that... Herobrine randomly thought, staring into space.
He didn't realize his eyes started flickering. The potion he used had to have complete concentration in order for it to work.
The little girl screamed and Herobrine smacked back into reality, realizing that his cover was blown.
"Monster! Your not Steve! Your Herobrine!" The man scooped up his daughter and held her protectively against him.
Herobrine faked a sad look. He was actually quite happy to know people still cowered in fear of him.
"What ever do you mean?" Herobrine flashed a smile. This can still work...
"We saw it! We saw your eyes!" The man held his daughter closer to him and she clutched his shirt. She was crying into him.
Herobrine felt a paying of guilt. It confused him a little, but what really confused him was his reply to the man.
"I'm sorry..." This confused the man too. But Herobrine wasn't confused at this next part he done. "I have to kill you!"
Herobrine materialized a sword in his hands and grinned evilly. He slashed at the man quickly so he couldn't doge it and the man died instantly.
He fell with a thud and the little girl got out of his arms and looked at her deceased dad.
"Daddy? Daddy, get up! I need you!" The girl fell against him and started crying.
Herobrine realized that was the same emotion he had so many years ago when his daughter was taken from him.
Instead of killing the little girl, he just teleported away and left her there, crying into her father. And his blood.
