Agent, Death? and Guardians.
"And since you now know of our existence, I fear that as of last night, the Decepticons know of yours," Boss-bot said to us.
"Got it. If we spot any strange vehicles, call 911." Jack said stepping in, making me snort, "Can we go now?" Jack asked taking a look at me.
"Are you insane?" Miko asked him, primus this girl is hilarious.
"I'm living in bot-swana. And I won't let you or anyone else shatter it." Miko snarled whilst glaring at him. I just realised, they never got my name. Whoops. Oh well.
"It is best that you four remain under our watch, at least, until we can determine our enemies' intentions," Boss-bot said.
"Optimus," So that's his name. "With all due respect," Ratchet started making said 'bot look to him, "The human Children are in as much danger here as anywhere."
"Children?" Jack and I scoffed, offended.
"I'm eighteen," I muttered.
"They have no protective shell. If they get underfoot, they will go," Ratchet paused looking for the word, "Squish," Ratchet said then stomped his foot for emphasis. My three friend took a step back while I folded my arms and glared at him, making my face almost emotionless. Ratchet almost flinched when my face went blank.
"Then, for the time being, Ratchet, we will have to watch where we step," Optimus replied making me crack a smile, as lights started flashing.
"What's that?" Jack asked sounding panicked.
"Proximity Sensor," Bee whirled.
"Proximity Sensor. Someone's up top." Raf explained as I uncovered my ears.
"It's Agent Fowler," Ratchet sighed typing away at the screen.
"I-I thought we were the only humans who knew about you guys?" Jack asked the bots.
"Government base," I muttered under my breath as I rolled my eyes.
"Special Agent Fowler is our designated liaison to the outside world. As he tends to visit only when there are issues, It may be best if you do not meet him at this time." Optimus said turning around to explain. We quickly ran away around a corner to hide.
The elevator opened up revealing a dark-skinned man with brown eyes and black hair in a blue business suit. "Seven wrecks, thirty-four benders, a three-hour traffic jam, and, of particular note, numerous reports of a speeding motorcycle of unknown make and a black and yellow custom muscle car. So, anything you care to get off your tin chest, Prime?" Agent Fowler's voice asked. I growled then tried to go out of the hiding spot and Jack held me back from going out giving me a confused look.
"We have the situation under control, Agent Fowler," Optimus said moving so that he could talk to the Agent.
"They're back, aren't they?" Agent Fowler asked the Autobot leader.
"If you are referring to the Decepticons, I have doubts that they ever left. "Your planet is much too valuable," Optimus replied as I was pouting at Jack, who thought I was being childish. Which I was but still!
"Then it's time to wake up the Pentagon," Agent Fowler said firmly to Optimus.
"Hear me, Agent Fowler. We are your best, possibly your only defence against the Decepticon threat." Optimus countered firmly.
"Says you." Fowler scoffed. I tried even harder to get out and show that idiot agent a piece of my mind, this time all three of my friends were holding me back.
"Hey fleshie, Did anyone get splattered on that freeway?" Bulkhead cut in. He grabbed a tool. "Team Prime knows when to use force and how much to use," Bulkhead said yanking the tool and breaking it. Miko and I smirked as Ratchet complained.
"Bulkhead, I needed that!" Optimus rolled his eyes at the two.
"Enough," He scolded them before turning back to Fowler.
"Military involvement will only result in catastrophe. Perhaps you can condone widespread human casualties, Agent Fowler. I, however, cannot," Optimus said to the man. I felt like there was something about us humans that the boss-bot wanted to protect, but what or perhaps who?
"Then do us both a favour and handle this, Prime, under the radar," Fowler said his voice getting quieter, "Or I will," he added before the elevator doors shut, which we were not totally watching.
"Pretty big bearings for a human," Bulkhead said walking up beside the Prime.
"Agent Fowler is concerned for his world, Bulkhead, as he should be," Optimus replied.

We were sitting on one of the Human platforms when something went off on Ratchet's computer. "Blasted Earth tech," Ratchet growled. We got up and walked to the edge of the platform to see. I looked at the screen and saw an oddly familiar bot.
"Cliffjumper's signal popped back online," Ratchet said to the other bots who had walked up.
"Who's Cliffjumper?" Miko asked for us.
"How is that Possible?" Optimus asked from behind the other bots.
"It isn't," Ratchet shook his head. "Another bug, the system's chock-full of them." He added. I doubt that. Something else must be at play.
"If there's any chance Cliff's alive..." Arcee trailed off. She must have been close to Cliffjumper. I frowned. I hate wars. They take so many innocent people away from their families. Even... my dad.
"Ratchet, prepare sickbay. We may need it," Optimus said nodding to Arcee. I swear I think I saw his eyes dart over to me before he started walking away before Miko called out to him.
"Hey! What can we do?" She asked the Prime. Optimus looked at us. I eyed him as a glint of something appeared in his eyes before he made up his mind.
"Remain with Ratchet," Optimus said simply causing both Miko and Ratchet to "Aw,". I inwardly laughed, allowing amusement to appear in my eyes while hiding the rest of it behind a mask. These two are so going to barely get along in the future.
"Autobots, roll out!" Optimus said before he transformed into a semi before the others followed him through a portal like tunnel. My eyes widened. That is one serious piece of machinery.
"Woah," We all breathed in amazement.
"What was that?" Jack asked the remaining Autobot. We all looked at him. Raf and I amazed at the technology and the other two were just amazed in general.
"I transported them to the designated coordinates via the ground bridge," Ratchet shrugged as if it were nothing. Must be like one of those wormhole things that some of those sci-fi movies and books use to teleport or transport.
"What's a ground bridge?" Raf asked curiously. I looked at the cybertronian curiously as he sighed like we were children that had already been taught this but had forgotten it already.
"A scaled-down version of space bridge technology," Ratchet grumbled as he turned to look at the screen. "Since we don't currently possess the means or the energon required for intergalactic travel," Ratchet finished trailing off, his tone going sadder towards the end. Oh, they're-
"You're stuck here, on earth," Jack said walking forward. The atmosphere had gone sad and pitying and I hated it. Reminded me too much of- Bad thoughts! Snap out of those, Holly!
"With the likes of you, yes," Ratchet sniffed. And there go all the feelings of sympathy I had for the bot. I rolled my eyes slightly, okay maybe microscopically, at him.
"But I constructed the ground bridge to enable travel from here to anywhere on your planet," Ratchet said, slightly puffing his chest out in pride. I inwardly smirked as I shared a quick glance with Miko.
"Whoa. Does it work for humans?" Raf asked looking at the bot in awe.
"Naturally," Ratchet told him smirking as Miko looked the orange and white coloured bot.
"You mean, I could just shoot on over and visit my parents in Tokyo?" Miko asked him. Well, Ratchet did just kinda spell that out for you, you crazy monkey. I mentally shook my head in amusement at her.
"Within moments. In fact, allow me to send you there immediately, the three of you," Ratchet growled out to the girl. Raf and I shared looks.
"Watch it Ratchet," Miko snipped at him.
"Three?" Raf asked stepping up.
"Yes, the only one not annoying is her," Ratchet pointed to me before muttering something else. I blinked.
"Pardon?" I asked him confused. But he and they had already moved on. Oh well.

"What is this anyway?" Miko asked poking at something. I looked up from my homework. What? I had to get it done at some point and if my grades start falling I would never forgive myself.
"Broken. Don't touch," Ratchet said as he typed away on his computer.
"Don't touch that either," He said quickly when Miko reached out to touch something else as Jack walked over to the girl.
"Is there anything in here we can touch?" Jack asked the bot as Miko spied something else to play with. An alert went off on Ratchets computer.
"How come you guys are using human computers?" Raf asked as I tapped my pen against one of my homework books. What the hell is the answer? Ah! 678! I quickly wrote it down.
"Certainly not by choice. It was handed down from the previous tenants when we inherited this former missile silo. I make modifications as I see fit." Ratchet grumbled before scowling as a whole bunch of alerts came up. I looked up at the noise, wincing, then sighed and looked at Raf.
"I think I can fix that," Raf said shyly. He didn't like showing off so doing this for me is a huge favour.
"Really?" Ratchet said disbelievingly. "You know this is complex technology, don't you? I mean it isn't a child's toy." Ratchet scoffed at Raf who just finished typing when the bot finished. I rolled my eyes as I tried to hide how much the noise was bugging me. I always had problems with loud noises.
"Now, try," Raf offered, making the bot look at the screen as all the alerts disappeared. Ratchet looked at the boy amazed as Raf smiled at me. I gave him a thumbs up before going back to my work.

"Ratchet, Bridge us back! Use the arrival coordinates now!" Optimus's voice said through the comms making me pause and look up from where I was packing my homework back into my bag.
Ratchet hurriedly opened the ground bridge and the bots came speeding back into base Optimus was last and he transformed in mid-air using his hand to twist as an explosion came through the bridge. I watched concerned, where was Cliffjumper? The bot they were looking for?
"Wow," Miko gasped amazed as they boys went, "Woah." I rolled my eyes at the three. Seriously? Action movies have scenes like this all the time.
"Cutting it a bit close. How about Cliffjumper?" Ratchet asked. I frowned as the atmosphere grew sad. Oh no...
"What was that explosion? Was there a fight? Can I come with next time?" Miko fired at the bots. I made my face expressionless. Don't wanna show pity for the bots or anger at the slight disrespect Miko was showing. I know she has good intentions but sometimes you've got to just keep quiet.
"Look-" Arcee started to tell the girl off before Jack cut in.
"Hey, Miko, let's go see what the bots hide in their sock draws," Jack tried to come up with an excuse to get the girl away from the bots.
"Seriously?" She asked him as he led her away.
"Arcee, what did you see?" Optimus asked the female bot.
"Not Cliff. At least not anymore," She folded her arms. "He was mutated, butchered like something from those 'con experiments during the war," Her anger grew until she fell to the ground. My eyes widened as we rushed to the edge of the platform.
"I'm fine, just dizzy," Arcee protested as Bumblebee helped her up.
"Robots who get dizzy?" Miko said slash asked.
"Robots with emotions," Raf added.
"Robots who get injured," I added grimly, Jack seem to realise something as I said this.
"Robots who can die," Jack finished as we looked at the bots.
Ratchet was scanning Arcee, "Hum, what is this?" He gasped as Arcee held her hand up to show a purple splat of something simmering against her blue armour.
"Don't know. Cliff was covered in it, leaking it," Arcee held her hand to her head.
"Go take a decontamination bath now," Ratchet demanded as he scrapped the goo off of her hand.
"Optimus, I hate to bug, but no bars," Jack said to the leader as he held his phone up while Bumblebee helped Arcee to the baths. My eyes widened as I quickly grabbed my phone out of my pocket. Mom's gonna be so pissed.
Optimus seemed to notice our panicking. " A security precaution. The silo walls isolate all radio waves," The leader said.
"Well, if I don't call my Mom like now, I'm pretty sure the cops will be looking for me," Jack said panicking slightly.
"Me too," I jumped in.
"Have you broken a law?" Optimus asked us. I bit my tongue in order to not laugh.
"Uh, curfew. It's after 10," Jack said.
"I better get home, too, or I'll be grounded for a year," Raf added.
"Try the rest of your life for me," I muttered. My Mom often gets overprotective when I come home late, something about Dad's war enemies?
"Earth customs. I hadn't considered. But the issue of your safety remains," Optimus said standing back up. "Bulkhead, accompany Miko home," Optimus said to the green bot.
"Awesome! My host parents will freak!" Miko cheered. I smiled at her. I'm glad she is my friend, nothing like a Miko to cheer you up when you feel down.
"And maintain covert surveillance in vehicle form," Optimus added.
"Curbside duty. Got it," Bulkhead said. Miko's excitement dulled.
"Aw," She pouted.
"Bumblebee, you'll watch over Raf," Optimus said. Bumblebee looked happy to be paired up with the boy.
"Ratchet-" Optimus asked.
"Busy," The medic replied quickly. Optimus sighed.
"Arcee, you'll accompany Jack," Optimus said to the bot who came out of the baths. Acree sighed dramatically.
"Still dizzy," She dramatised. Oh, she's good. I like her.
"You're fine, says your physician," Ratchet told her, not even turning around to look at her. Arcee glared at the medic before sighing.
"And I'll accompany Holly," Optimus said. I blinked.
"Girl, you get a ride with the boss," Miko smirked as she elbowed me. I rolled my eyes as I hosted my bag onto my back while we walked down to the bot who had transformed. I hesitantly go into (Primus that sounds weird.) Optimus.
The ride was pretty much silent until Optimus broke it. "Where do you live?" He asked.
"Just down there," I pointed at a street where you could see my house. The odd thing was that it was painted the same colours as Optimus. I never found out why Mom didn't change the colours. She always told me it reminded her of Dad but didn't elaborate.
"Thanks, Optimus," I said as I got out. (So, slagging weird).
"Erm, the garage is free if you want to use it?" I offered.
"No thank you, Holly. I shall return to base and collect you in the morning," Optimus said. I nodded.
"See you then," I waved as he left, flashing his lights before I headed inside.
"And where were you?" Mom asked, her arms were folded over her chest and her expression was suspicious.
"I changed my mind after I finished my homework and hung out with Miko, Jack and Raf for a bit. I'm sorry we didn't realize that so much time had flown by," I apologized quickly. Mom is always trying to get me to go hang out with friends instead of coming home, so just say a slightly tweaked version of the truth and I'm good.
Mom's face brightened. "Oh, sweetspark," She hugged me. I bit the inside of my mouth. That's what Dad would always call me.
"I'm so happy you're hanging with friends," Mom smiled as she let go.
"They're really fun," I smiled. Mom's face went serious.
"But next time call or just text me when you're going to be late," She said sternly.
"I will," I promised. "Now can I please go to bed? I've got to keep to my schedule," I added.
She smiled and kissed the top of my head, "Goodnight, sweetspark," She said before going to her room.
I smiled brightly until she closed the door then I let my other emotions show. I never like being a burden on Mom when she's so emotional so I always hide my 'Bad' emotions so she feels happy. Call me selfish for wanting her to be happy but I don't care. Mom comes before me.
I sighed as I walked to my room and gently closed my door before looking at my tidy room.
I had always had a fascination with the colour blue. The Mom added the red bedsheets and brought me red stuff. I have no idea why. I placed my bag next to my desk before going to the bathroom to change into my PJ's, I never liked changing in my room.
I walked back to my room, sighing as I got into bed. I looked out my window to see a familiar semi. I rolled my eyes. Thought he was going back to base. Oh well. I turned off my light and got comfortable.
Soon I fell to sleep, dreaming about Optimus fighting a silver bot with purple eyes in space.
♦️
Optimus watched as the girl fell asleep. Guilt ate away at his spark for everything she had gone through.
He had missed so much of his young sweetsparks' life.

Again, not much changed.
