Chapter LXXVIII: Reconciliation
The process of progression was inevitable and slowly built to integrate compassion and success into the individual's life cycle. It went something like this: start, fall, fall a little deeper, shatter, get back up and own the game. The main key was time to get over the hardest moment of anyone's life whether it was a disease or a cause and effect.
Standing beside Levy and looking into July's eyes, I could see specks of betrayal and terror. Instead of being angry at her, I decided that I would look at her in a new light and probably find out the hidden source of her ache.
"You're scared of us," I murmured and my eyes reconciled with her, it was as if my words hit her once her eyes changed to hurt and channeled her inner obstacles. She recoiled and recognized what was I trying to do to her.
"No, I'm not," it was always like that when it came down to reality and she chose to deny it further to fake it. Too bad she wasn't getting to me, I crossed my arms and stepped forward, ignoring the irregular pattern of my heartbeat.
Her white hair shone like something from a hair commercial and her eyes glowed harshly under the school lights. Her pale skin and her simplistic features told me that she was not the normal average teen in Oregon High.
"You're really a psycho now, aren't you?" I whispered loud enough for her ears to pick up my revelation and she widened her eyes slightly as she took a step back and I stepped forward.
"No, I'm not and I won't ever be," she screamed at me and I grinned, my plan in analyzing her worked and I got the defensive mechanism under the hidden layers of her disorder.
"Are you sure about that?" I asked in a softer tone of voice when I approached right in front and stopped to face her closely.
"I mean you threaten us then use what we do against us if that's not a psycho act you put through, then what is?" Levy urged her while supporting me at the same time, that was why we were compatible together, we were both good with talking and got what we wanted at the end.
"Leave me alone," she shouted with her hands on each side of her head as her neck shook left to right in agitation as her eyes showed the different shades of emotions.
What we started was so much more than just word twists and illusion, we began July's trauma once again because the next thing we knew was that her whole body collapsed on the ground.
"You will never get to me, you are just a worthless piece of scum, you will never get rid of me, I only believe in the darkness of my sins and you are not going to get in my way," she uttered in a rushed tone like a robot and seethed with hatred like she was possessed.
"July," I crouched down to her and stroked her hair, "stop all of this, it's hurting you," I soothed her as she whimpered and shook her head once more then something made my heart ache into an unpleasant series of thuds.
July's face completely changed right in front of me.
"Oh, hey Lia, how are you?" she smiled brightly at me and hugged me, I hugged back while trying to hold back my tears at how serious her disorder was.
"Good, how are you?" I asked her and she gave me a thumbs up as she stood up and happily skipped away.
I sighed and turned to see Levy, all I received was his emotional eyes mirroring my own. It was definitely hard for us.
"Come on, babe, let's get back home," He told me and grabbed my hand to help me up.
I wrapped my arms around him in exhaustion, not wanting anything to do with the world, what I saw traumatized me too and I wanted to stay in Levy's arms for comfort.
He embraced me back, realizing how bad it affected me to see July this way. I was a soft-spoken girl and recognizing the heavy pain that July held around made me sad for her.
"Um, guys, I need to confess something," Dimitria surprised us by her unexpected appearance, she had a high waisted fluffy skirt and her nerdy glasses on along a bird-printed top that was tucked into her skirt.
We separated and looked at Dimitria as she awkwardly scratched her arm and closed the door.
"What happened?" Levy asked and I could tell that he wanted to end all of the fiasco that has been happening to us continuously but it wasn't that easy at all. I noticed his darkened eyes and his unshaved state, it took a toll on him making my desire to end all of the troubles we faced.
"I kind of spilled the beans on the death of my dad and that it happened in school so they are investigating about it," she squeaked and we both glared at her, making our situation only worse.
"Why did you do that?" I asked in irritability as I stood stiffly at the news.
"I had to make a point because someone said that it might be you both who killed my dad but I knew that it wasn't so I had to defend you and then there was this lame-" Dimitria rambled and Levy interrupted her through her nerve attack.
"We don't need you defending our actions, we aren't babies anymore," he snapped at her and she hung her head guiltily.
"It's alright, nobody can investigate on us, your mother made sure of it," I calmed Levy down by putting a hand on his bicep and he exhaled, changing his attitude towards the girl who snitched.
"I'm sorry," she apologized and went outside.
"This is too confusing, I don't know I have the feeling that Dimitria is the bad guy here," I huffed after I spoke to Levy about my instincts.
"We're going to find out, leave it to me." Levy smirked and I raised an eyebrow at him.
