I want to note that Natsu is bi in this. The only reason is because in my NatsuXReader, it's a male reader.

HOLDING INFORMATION

(Y/N) couldn't've been more annoyed. He had been working all day, non-stop, no sleep. Seriously, catching murderer who burned people in an incinerator was like asking some random kid to find his mom's keys. (Y/N) hated it, and wanting to hit a wall.

(Y/N) had hit a dead end now. He knew that the murderer was either really against women, or really gay. Seduction was the only thing that came to mind. Maybe, if the murderer was gay, he could seduce him. Then again, (Y/N) wasn't into men, and he wouldn't go that far for a case. His body was meant for fighting, not meaningless seduction. His job wasn't horrible, but easily the most boring it had been in a while.

That was, until he got a call from his fellow co-workers that a girl had come in from questioning, saying she knew something. They didn't know if she was telling the truth, but she explained all the plot holes of the crime. How the ashes were found in the snow, why he chose fire, and how the bodies were picked.

(Y/N) went sonic speed towards the station, almost hitting multiple cars. He was more than ecstatic. The second he got the station, he ran into the lobby, grinning broadly.

"Hey! Is the suspect here?" (Y/N) asked, smile not faltering.

The red-haired girl at the desk sighed. (Y/N) thought her name was Berta. He wasn't completely sure. "She's in the back questioning room."

He grinned, running to the very back. He was finally going to get the information he wanted! (Y/N) was more than astatic.

The boy kicked open the door, his smile not showing any signs of leaving. He looked at the girl behind the desk. She wasn't too special, attractive, wearing only a swimsuit and jacket, make up only being a bit messed up.

"Hello, I'm Detective (L/N) and I'll be asking you some questions." He politely smiled, pulling out the chair in front of her.

"Whoa, I didn't think I'd get a hot detective~." She said, flirtation mixing perfectly into her voice.

"Thanks, but I actually care about my job." He rolled his eyes, "Now, do you know the murderer or the victims?"

"Ugh~, fine. My ex boyfriend, Natsu Dragneel use to make fires on purpose around our school. They would sometimes burn things, other times, they'd go unnoticed." The blonde noted.

"They?"

"Natsu, Gray Fullbuster, Happy Dragneel, And Ezra Scarlet. They're the most popular kids at my school." She said.

"I see, now, anything else?"

"Well, how big is your dick?" She asked, a smirk on her face.

"Longer than your hands, now, Miss... Right, what's your name?" He questioned, looking up from his papers.

"It's Lucy Heartfilia. So, Mister Detective, will you be chaining me to your bed?" Lucy said.

(Y/N) yawned, "Thanks, but you're not even legal. And even if you were, you're not my type." There was a smirk on his face as he wrote a few notes.

"Wha- Wait, how old are you?" Lucy's face was turning embarrassed.

"I'm 23, I'm a new detective. You act like a middle schooler with her boyfriend, and my girlfriend has to be more smart." He flicked the girl on the head.

"Not fair! I'm not dumb at all!" A pout grew on her face.

"Alright, then you should get this riddle. I am something people love or hate. I change peoples appearances and thoughts. If a person takes care of them self I will go up even higher. To some people I will fool them. To others I am a mystery. Some people might want to try and hide me but I will show. No matter how hard people try I will Never go down. What am I?" He had a large smirk on his face.

"Huh..." She looked stumped, but then her eyes lit up, "You're age, aren't you?"

He chuckled, "Nice job Miss Heartfilia. You're how old?"

"17, but my birthday is next week. I'd love for you to join me then." Lucy said.

"Fine, answer my questions and I'll join you." She did a happy dance in her chair, before nodding swiftly. "Is Natsu into men or did you break his heart? He's only killed women so far."

"Natsu's into both men and women, but he prefers women. He's currently single, but a few of my friends have crushes on him." Lucy said, sitting up straight.

"Does he like either Mister Fullbuster or Miss Scarlet?"

"Him and Gray are rivals, but I have a theory Natsu has a kind of crush on him. Ezra is the mom friend, but she will burn down buildings." She answered.

"What's his type?"

"Why are you asking?"

"I'm thinking that we might have to use seduction get find him out." He explained, writing a few more notes.

"Well, he likes flirty people and cold people. Popular people. He likes people who are attractive, I guess." Lucy said.

"I guess?"

"Well, I'm not sure. He was interested in me, at least, I thought he was. One day, he just asked me to break up." Lucy complained.

"So he's bad at deciding..." A smirk grew on his face, "Tell me, is he a pervert?"

"Well, it matters. Natsu doesn't act on his thoughts. So dirty-minded is the best way to describe it." She said.

"Alright, most likely into prostitution..."

"Wait, what?" She shouted, slamming her hands on the table, "I never told you that?"

"He's dirty-minded, indecisive, and is into flirty people. Seems like he'd enjoy someone who'd fuck him. Final question, is Natsu rich?" He said.

"I... Yes, Natsu's allowance is over a thousand dollars, but he doesn't work." Lucy guilty said.

"So does that answer why I think so?" He leaned over on the table and pat her back. She nodded, tears building up in her eyes. "Hey, give me your address, I'll be over on your birthday, alright?"

Her eyes lit up, "Yes! I-I mean-"

He laughed, "It's not a date, but you seem like a nice girl. Besides, you helped me out. Now, at least, I'm not at a dead end."

Lucy flushed a bit pink, "Oh, it... It's nothing."

And that's how the two met.
