Shristi cursed her faith and Shreyas's punctuality when she heard the door bell.

She quickly rushed to the door , opening it she encountered a Shreyas holding a flower bouquet in his hand.

Shristi couldn't help but get flustered at his sweet gesture.
" Oh my god " She chuckled and took the bouquet from his hand.

" Hi. " He smiled meekly

"Hey " She smiled back.. " Come in " She gestured him to come inside .

" Can you just wait for 10 minutes. I just got back from office. I got stuck with some urgent works.. I will just go and take a shower. " She asked as apologetic expression covered her face

" It's fine.. Get fresh I will wait " He said and made himself comfortable on the sofa.

Shreyas was looking around her living room. It was not very big but had a very cozy vibe. He noticed some photo frames on the wall which contained childhood photos of Shristi and Samiksha , family picture and recent photos.

" I wanted to cook something good but I couldn't leave the office any earlier than I did" Shristi said diverting Shreyas's attention to her.

" It's okay.. No problem " He smiled

" Coffee? " She asked

" Sure " He said as giving a tight lipped smile.

Shristi made coffee while Shreyas stood silently leaning in the kitchen counter thinking about how to start the conversation again.

" I don't get why you like this mareez wala coffee.. Black with no sugar! Seriously?? " She scoffed as she handed him the cup

" It's healthy " He shrugged while sipping some.

" It tastes very bad " Shristi said while adding milk and sugar to her cup. She sipped some coffee from her cup and let out a satisfied hum..
" This is how coffee should taste like " She smiled

Shreyas chuckled. Shristi understood the silence and asked... " What..what made you love me?? " She furrowed her eyebrows

" Come again.. " Shreyas asked being confused

" You were literally head over heels from Ananya a month back.. And suddenly you.. It's not like we are similar.. I mean there has to be something which evoked your love for me!! " Shristi asked . Shreyas's dumbfounded expression made her chuckle lightly

" I.. I.. " He fell silent then started again
" I just missed you a lot.. Like a LOT.. I never felt so guilty after any argument like the way I felt after arguing with you. I so wanted to call you and talk to you but my ego just didn't let me.. I.. That fear of losing you and losing whatever we have was getting so strong day be say that ... " He paused.

" I told rishabh about all this and he said that this kind things happen if you are in love.. So I realised that fell for you.. That's it. I don't have any other reason..this is love right??" As soon as he stopped , shristi engulfed him in a bone crushing hug. Even though it startled shreyas for a while, he quickly recovered from the shock and snaked his hand around her waist. She quickly rested her face on the crook of his neck and let out a comfortable sigh.

" I love you too idiot.. I love you " She mumbled on his neck while letting out a giggle.. Shreyas grinned a child and tightened his hold around her waist pulling her closer if that was possible.

Those unfinished coffee cups were long forgotten . It was just them , finding solace in the warm embrace of their loved .

This is probably my last update before exam which starts from 20th March and will end on 26th March. I will try give an update within exam period. Can't promise though.
