Yuta's P.O.V

That Wednesday soon rolled around. I called up Sicheng again to get his address to pick him up. However, he insisted quite stubbornly on having someone else take him. I didn't want to put him in a grumpy mood for when it came time to shop, so I let him do what pleased him.

Yieun dropped him off again in front of the mall. When I saw her car, I got out of mine and into the bitter weather to lead Sicheng inside.

"I can't believe you're taking the blind guy to go shopping," she laughed as Sicheng got out of the car. "Although, you did take him to a movie."

"What can I say? I'm really warming up to the guy." I gave Yieun a bright smile and swung an arm around Sicheng. "I think he's warming up to me too."

He immediately shrugged me off.

Yieun gave a small laugh while covering her mouth. "I really appreciate you friending WinWin. He needs to get out more, but doesn't seem to be in the mood to do so that often. Thank you."

"Of course. We should be done around seven."

"Seven?!" Sicheng exclaimed, staring in my general direction.

"Perfect! I'll be here by then. Have fun, Winnie!" I closed the car door so Yieun didn't have to reach for it. She waved before driving off.

"Were you two just flirting?" Sicheng asked with a face of discomfort.

"Don't worry Sicheng, if I were to ask someone out it would be you. Like what I did at the coffee shop. And that night after the movie." I started to direct the both of us to the entrance of the building. "Wow, I can't believe we're on date two already!"

"Not a date." Sicheng slowly let out a sigh. "You know, I'm starting to question if you're joking or actually being serious."

I laughed at his comment. "I'm joking, Sicheng. I know this is only the second day we've hung out, but I hope we can become friends."

"Okay. I'll try to loosen up a bit."

The mall wasn't very busy today, which was nice since I had a blind guy with me. "Hey, Sicheng. Since you're blind, is it true that all your other senses are better? Like, can you eavesdrop on conversations really well?"

"It's not necessarily that they're like superhuman senses. It's just that since I'm blind, I have to use extra caution with them so it makes me able to pay attention to small or more detailed things."

"Cool," I nodded. "I hope me asking questions and making jokes doesn't offend you."

"No, not at all," Sicheng admitted. "It actually makes me feel more comfortable with being around you. I know that I can trust someone and be close to them if they're willing be talk about what most would consider being the elephant in the room."

"How do you dream, or think, if you don't know what it's like to see things?"

"When I dream, it isn't with sight but with my other senses. Same thing as for when I imagine things."

I slowly exhaled. "I find this to be really interesting."

"You should try to describe color to me," Sicheng suggested. "Each time we hang out, describe a different color to me. People always struggle with describing them."

I rubbed my hands together with a wide smile. "I'm up for this challenge. What color should we start out with?"

"Start with the two simplest colors to explain. Black and white. They're also my favortie colors."

I cocked my head to the side. "How do you have favorite colors if you don't know what they look like?"

"They were my favorite colors before I went blind."

"You weren't born with it? How did you become blind?"

Sicheng swallowed and hesitated to answer. "I..." He moved his head to face away from my direction, even if he couldn't see. "It was from an accident."

The thought obviously bothered him. I didn't want to make him think about it if he didn't want to, so I decided to move on. "So black. It's the darkest color you can get. It's like looking into a deep hole that has no end. It's kind of scary and mysterious."

Sicheng nodded, looking like he was brightening a little. "I like how you're describing it."

"And white. It's the lightest color you can get. It's pure and clean. Angelic and good. So, the complete opposite of black."

Sicheng's smile grew. "I'm impressed, Yuta. A lot of the time, people will compare colors to objects that have that color. When I asked green, they say grass. Blue, they say the sky. The thing is, that doesn't help me because I don't know what those things look like."

"You have no memory of them from when you were able to see?"

"I was young, and all of my sight memories have been lost over time."

"I'm sorry to hear that, Sicheng," I told him. "It must be hard and stressful. I promise that if you ever need anything, I will help you."

"Thanks, Yuta." Sicheng drew in a breath and slowly let it back out. "And you can call me WinWin."

"Really?" I asked, eyes widening and cracking a smile. "Are you calling us friends?"

"Ah, don't get too excited," WinWin warned me. "I might regret it," he joked.
