Y/n's POV Space Colony Ark

I was being dragged by Maria, my only friend because she wanted to show me something.

Maria: *Excited* Y/n! Hurry! Hurry! You have to see this!

We kept running before stopping at the observation room and I was confused by the lights that were Earth.

Y/n: *Confused* It's...lights?

Maria: It's the aurora Borealis! You can only see them from certain latitudes down there, but up here we can see the whole... *Out of breath* the whole...

Y/n: Maria!

I dash to catch Maria before she hits the ground as she opens her eyes.

Maria: Thank you. I just pushed it a little, that's all.

Y/n: The low gravity here only keeps your condition in remission. You should know better than to exert yourself.

I sat her down on the floor as she acknowledged her mistake.

Maria: I know, you're right. But when it comes to the beauty of the Earth, I can't help myself. I can't wait for the day when we can finally return.

Y/n: I was created here. I don't know if there's a place for me on Earth as a Spirit. Professor Gerald made me the ultimate life form and the successor to the Spirit of Origin. I should be the key to all manner of medicine! To cure you.

Maria comforts me to not cause a Spatial Quake here on the Ark and I feel my anger slowly fade as she places her hand on my cheek and makes me look at her.

Maria: You and Grandfather are doing your best. I'm just as happy to spend time with you here while you both research-.

Suddenly, an explosion cuts her off and we look towards the location as I stand up to inspect and see it. The Gizoid. It looks at me before it fires a laser towards the PA System.

Maria: That robot was heading towards Grandfather's Research Lab! Y/n, you have to save him!

Maria grabbed my hand and I gave her a reassuring smile.

Y/n: I'll handle this. Just wait here. I'll be back. I promise.

I speed off toward the Research Lab and activate my Air-Shoes to gain more speed. After a few seconds, I arrived at the Research Lab and saw the Professor and the robot. They look at me and the Robot lets go of the Professor and it charges at me as our legs clash causing a massive shockwave breaking the tubes.

The robot and I exchanged blows but something felt off, we couldn't land a hit on the other.

This robot...it's mimicking my movements!

Y/n: Why... Won't... You... DIE?!

I punched the robot in the face and caved it in.

Its eyes dimmed before it went limp. I sighed as I watched the robot collapse. I walked towards the professor and helped him up.

Y/n: Professor, are you okay?

Professor: Yes, I'm okay. Thank you for saving me, Y/n.

Suddenly, the alarms started blaring as one of the Researchers came in.

Researcher: Sir, DEM sent their Wizards to shut down Project Shadow and eliminate anyone involved!

Professor: Evacute the ARK! I'll stay behind to prevent them! *Looks at Y/n* Y/n, go get Maria and head towards the Capsules so that the both of you can escape to Earth!

Y/n: But Professor-!

Professor: Y/n, I trust that you'll keep Maria safe. Good luck, son.

I was fighting back tears but followed the Professor-no-my father's orders: To get Maria and escape through a Capsule to Earth. I soon found Maria being cornered by DEM Wizards to which I knocked them out.

Maria: Y/n!

Y/n: We need to go, now!

I grabbed Maria's hand and started running towards the Capsules as DEM Wizards chased after us with the strongest Wizard: Ellen Mira Meathers catching up to us.

Ellen: Stop those two and capture <Shadow> by any means necessary!

We arrived at the Capsules and I fired a Chaos Spear at the door's control panel to close to buy some time.

Maria: Y/n...

Y/n: Maria, what's wrong? *Eyes widen* You're...!

Maria: I'm fine, it's just a little blood.

Y/n: You're hurt!

Maria: I'm fine, Y/n. Just go make sure the capsule is working.

I hesitantly listened and walked to one of the capsules until...

*Click*

Y/n: MARIA!!!

Maria activated one of the capsules as I banged on the glass trying to get her to let me out. Suddenly, the door was cut open as Ellen and the other wizards stepped inside the room.

Ellen: Now now girl, hand over <Shadow> and there won't be any blood, understand?

Maria: Never! Y/n is not a tool for Ike to use! He's a person, not a weapon!

Ellen: You just don't understand, do you? What did I expect from a child?

Ellen pointed her weapon at Maria and she activated the launch sequence and Maria told me something that I will keep to my heart:

Maria: Y/n. I beg of you, please do it for me...for a better future!

Y/n: Maria

I continued to punch and kick the glass to no avail.

Maria: For all the people, who live on Earth. Give them a chance to be happy. Let them live their dreams.

Y/n: No, stop!

Maria: Y/n, I know you can do it. That's the reason why you were brought into this world. Sayonara, Y/n L/n.

*BANG*

Y/n: NOOO!!!

I cried out as Maria was shot and as it happened, I was already in space on a course for Earth. I should be happy but I wasn't. It was Maria's dream to visit Earth and for me to be there with her, but now it's pointless...Wha...WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOR?!?!?!?
