"And that was the last time they appeared on any of our scopes. Considering the amount of damage we've sustained they must have been destroyed." A hologram was informing Vader.

Upon hearing this report I frowned slightly. "Destroyed? I hope not." I thought to myself.

"No Captain they are alive. I want every ship available to sweep the astroid field until they are found." Vader replied and I sighed in relief. I may not care about the Princess or her droid but Han and Chewie were good friends and I wouldn't want any harm to befall them.

Admiral Piet rushes up to Vader his face as white as a sheet. "Lord Vader..."

"Yes Admiral what is it?" Vader replies turning to face him.

"The Emperor commands that you make contact with him." Admiral Piett replies the sheer fear clearly showing on his face.

"Take us out of the astroid field so that we can send a clear transmission." Vader replies walking away heading to his quarters. I follow behind him not sure what else to do. "Wait here." Vader tells as he enters his quarters.

"As you wish Lord Vader." I replied quietly.

Though the doors close behind him and he instantly kneels down onto a pad. Though the doors are shut I can sort of make out a what is being said. "What is thy bidding my master?" Vader asks as he bows his head.

"There is a great disturbance in the force." A deep voice tells Vader.

"I have felt it." Vader replies.

"We have a new enemy. The young rebel who blew up the Death Star I have no doubt that he is the offspring of Anakin Skywalker."

"Luke? Why was Luke's parentage important? He was just a farm boy from Tattooine. I wondered with a slight frown.

"How can this be?" Vader asks confused.

"Search your feelings Lord Vader you know this to be true. He could destroy us." I could hear the voice telling Vader.

Upon hearing his tone I started to feel uncomfortable perhaps I shouldn't be listening to this conversation.

"He is just a boy. Obi-Wan can no longer help him." Vader replies and I sigh in relief. It seemed like Vader didn't want to harm Luke.

"The force is strong with him. The son of Skywalker must not become a Jedi." The voice informed Vader.

What does he mean Luke must not become a Jedi? Was he telling Vader to kill Luke? I wondered worriedly.

I could tell that Vader seemed reluctant to do as the Emperor desired as he replied "if he could be turned he could be a powerful ally."

I sighed in relief Vader didn't want to harm Luke. I strained to hear the rest of the conversation hoping that the Emperor would agree. "Yes he could be a valuable asset. Can it be done?" The Emperor asked.

I shook my head "it's not gonna happen." I whispered much to my dismay Vader replied "he will join us or die Master."

"Oh no." I whispered. Though I didn't know Luke for very long I knew that whatever it was that the Emperor wanted Luke to do he would never do it.

Meanwhile, Luke had made his way to Dagobah and had crashed his ship in the bog. After reaching the shore he made camp and talked with R2. "You ready for power? Ok here you go." Luke said helping R2 plug into a power unit. "Now all I have to do is find this Yoda. If he even exists. Still there's something familiar about this place. I feel like..." Luke paused searching for the right words. "I don't know..."

"Feel like what?" Came a strange voice from behind him.

Luke turned sharply with his blaster in hand. "Like we are being watched." He replied pointing his blaster at the small creature.

"Away with your weapon I mean you no harm. I was wondering why are you here?" The creature asked.

"I'm looking for someone."

"Looking. Found someone i would say humm?" The creature said with a slight laugh.

Luke smiles "right."

"Help you I can."

"I don't think so I'm looking for a great warrior."

"Wars do not make one great." The creature replied quietly. The creature then proceeds to explore the camp grabbing at different things and throwing them around. He grabs Luke's food and takes a bite then spits it out.

"Put that down! Hay that's my dinner!" Luke say frustratedly.

The strange creature makes a face and replies "how you get so big eating food of this kind?"

"Look we didn't mean to land in that puddle and if we could get our ship out we would but we can't do why don't you just..."

"Awe can not get your ship out?" The creature mocks as he goes through Luke's bags. Until he finds a small lamp.

Frustrated Luke grabs the case away from the strange creature. "Hay you could have broken this. Don't do that. Your making a mess. Hay give me that!" Luke says frustrated as the creature examines Luke's small flash light.

The creature holds it away from Luke "mine or I will help you not."

"I don't want your help, I want my lamp back. I'm going to need it to get out if this slimy mud hole." Luke replies his irritation with the small
Creature growing with each passing moment.

"Slimy? Mud hole? My home this is!" The creature replies clearly insulted by Luke's remarks. As he is arguing with Luke r2 proceeds to try and grab the flashlight. "Ahh! Ahh! Ahh!"

"R2 let him have it." Luke says with a sigh.

"Mine! Mine! Mine! Mine!" The little creature says to R2 hitting him with his walking stick over and over again until R2 finally let's go.

"Ok now will you move along little fella? We've got a lot of work to do." Luke asks with a sigh.

"No, no stay help you I will. find your friend humm." The creature replies.

"I'm not looking for a friend I'm looking for a Jedi master."

"Ooh Jedi master. Yoda you seek Yoda." The creature replies surprising Luke.

"You know Yoda?

"Take you to him I can. But first we eat. Good food." The creature replies and starts to hurry off into the distance. Luke after thinking about it for a moment chooses to follow the creature. R2 beeps at him upset.

"R2 stay here and watch the camp."

The creature leads Luke to a small hut and ushers him inside. He stirs a cooking pot. "I'm sure it's delicious I just don't see why we can't go to Yoda now." Luke says as the creature hustles about the small hut.

"Patience, patience for the Jedi it is time to eat
too. Eat warm food nice and hot good food."

"Is Yoda very far? How long will it take to reach him?" Luke asks impatiently.

"Not far. Yoda not far soon you will be with him. Rootleaf I cook. Why you wish to be a Jedi?"

"I don't know because of my father I guess." Luke replies.

"Your father powerful Jedi was he powerful Jedi." The creature replies.

"Oh come on how would you know my father? You don't even know who I am. I don't even know what I'm doing here! We're wasting time!" Luke says angrily.

The creature sighs "I can not teach him. The boy has no patience."

Luke is confused until he hears bens voice and realize that the small irritating creature is Yoda. "He will learn patience."

"He is too angry much like his father." Yoda replies.

"Was I any different when you taught me?" The voice of Ben Kenobi asks.

"Ha. He is not ready." Yoda replies.

"Yoda? I am ready, I can be a Jedi. Ben tell him I am ready." Luke replies desperately.

"Ready? What know you of ready? For 800 years I have trained Jedi. My own council will I keep on who is to be trained. A Jedi must have the deepest commitment the most serious mind. This one long time have I watched. All his life he looked away towards the future to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was. Humph! on what he was doing. Humph! Adventure. Heh! Excitement. Heh! A Jedi craves not these things. You are reckless." Luke looks down towards the floor. He knows Yoda is right.

"So was I if you remember." Ben replies.

"He is too old. Yes too old to being the training." Yoda replies.

"But I've learned so much." Luke replied pleadingly.

Yoda looks at Luke momentarily "will he finish what he begins?"

"I won't fail you. I am not afraid." Luke replied and to this Yoda smiles and turns toward him.

"You will be, you will be." Yoda replies.
