The next day Damon took me with him to Jabba's palace to introduce me to his son's. It turned out that Damon had several sons. "Catherine these are my sons, Damon Jr my eldest, Dathen, Dahak. Demone, Damien and their best friends Bacchus, and Ares my son's best friends."

"Hi." I whispered timidly looking downward quickly.

Demon and his oldest sons weren't always nice to me. In fact, his son's hated me. They delighted in teasing me and getting me into trouble and would do so on a daily basis. Much to the dismay of their friends who over time grew to care for me.

Bacchus and Ares didn't treat me as a slave to Bacchus I was like a younger sister. As for Ares he was the closest in age to me. To him I wasn't his sibling I was someone he wanted to call his own someday. 

Dathan would often ask his father "why did you even purchase the little brat?"

Demon would shrug his shoulders and look over in my direction and would mutter "I don't  know why I purchased her. Your right, she was a complete waste of money."

One day Demon decided that he needed supplies and decided to take me with him to help carry them. While at the local market a beautiful woman noticed me following close behind Demon.

"Oh my, this a shocking revelation, I never knew bounty hunters had a parental side. Your daughter is just adorable. How old is she?"

"Huh? My daughter? Oh you mean Catherine? She just turned four or was it five? She's growing up so fast it's hard for me to keep track of how old she is." Demon replied with a smile.

"You don't know your daughters age? How is that possible?" The woman asked with a frown.

Tugging on Demon's shirt I looked up at him. "I'm turning thwee on the 14th of the 6th month memba daddy?" I asked hoping Demon wouldn't get mad at me for calling him daddy. Then turning to the sales woman I said sweetly "Me mommy didn't want me daddy to know about me. She bwoke up with daddy bewofwa me Me was bown because she didn't wike his dangewous job."

"She didn't appwobe of bounty hunting not even the money daddy earns from it. She called it bwood money. She fell in wobe witfh daddy because of how handsome he is and because of how chawming she found him to be. Him is like Pwince Chawming out of a fairytale my mommy would often say to me. She told me and otheas who asked about daddy that he had died. She had lied to pwotect me fwom a bounty hunta who osought webenge agesnt daddy."

"Bounty hunter? What bounty hunter?" Demon  asked pretending to be confused.

"I think mommy had said his name was Cade Bane or was it Bossk? No, wait, she said his name was Danga." I replied.

"Where is you mommy now sweetheart? The shop keeper asked starting to get confused.

"Mommy captuwed." I replied sadly.

"Captured?" The shop keeper asked confused.

"By Oh what are those nasty people called? Dey libe in the dessewt...." I replied.

"Tuskin Raiders?" The shop keeper asked and I nodded. "Oh how awful." The shop keeper replied.

"Me just came to libe witfh daddy wesentwy. You see, when wowd got out dat me mommy had been captuwed daddy came to look fowa mommy."

"I always loved her mother even after we broke up. I just had to help find her." Demon replied.

"Oh how romantic." The shop keeper replied.

"That's when daddy met me. De man in chawge of the seawch pawty intwoduced me to de gwoup. Exwaining dat dey find my mommy for me sake." I replied fake tears filling my eyes.

"Did you find her??"

"Yes unfortunately, by the time I found her she was nearly dead. Upon her dying breath asked me to take care of Catherine. I swore I would raise her as my own."

"I'm so sorry for your loss."

"Its ok. Me habe daddy now. Daddy takes weawwy good cawe of me. Don't you daddy?" I replied looking up into Demon's eyes and Demon nodded.

"Would you excuse us for just a moment little one?" The shop keeper asked and I nodded.

"If you don't mind my asking is little girl your biological daughter?"

"The truth is ma'am I don't know. Besides it doesn't matter to me. All that matters is that I promised her mother on her deathbed that I would watch over her." Demon replied.

"I'm sorry if my question offended you. I didn't mean for my question to seem indifferent.  That is the most heart warming thing I've ever heard anyone say. It warms my heart to see a bounty hunter who actually cares about something other then money."

The woman replied smiling at me. "I hate to be so straight forward but I'd love to get to know you better if that's ok? It's so hard to find a diamond in rough like yourself now a days." The shop keeper replied.

"Sure. I'll arrange for a friend of mine to babysit her and we could go out for dinner. Would tonight work for you?" Demon asked.

"I'd like that. I'll see you tonight say around 7:00?" The shop keeper replied with a smile.

Demon nodded "7:00 it is, see you then beautiful." Demon replied causing the sales woman to blush.

On the way back to the ship Demon turned to me. "You know you've broken several rules today don't you?"

I nodded. "Yes Mastea. Me sowwy. Me won't let it happen again Me pwomise. You want Me to get de belt when we get back to de ship?

"No." Demon replied to my surprise.

"Mastea Me confused. Me disobeyed you, me bwoke wuwes 1-4..."

"Yes, that is true but in doing so you convinced a very beautiful sales woman that am your father. She was so impressed that we are going on a date. All because of that story that you made up. I think I have found use for you after all." Demon replied.

"How was your time at the market father?" Dathan asked upon our return.

"Quite fruitful. Due to Catherine breaking a few rules I have a date with a beautiful woman tonight." Demon replied.

"How is she to be punished this time father?" Dathan asked a smiling crossing his face.

"Punished what makes you think she is going to be punished?" Demon asked.

"You did say she broke your rules didn't you dad?"Dehak asked.

"Yes."

"Then how is she going to be punished?" Dathan asked again.

"I am not going to punish her." Demon replied.

"What? Since when do you allow the little brat to get away with breaking your rules? You can't let this slide or she won't respect or obey you."

"Did I ask for your opinions?"

"Well no but..." Dehak started to reply.

"Then keep your mouths shut. Catherine is my servant and I will keep my own council on if and when she is to be punished. Don't ever question my decisions again!" Demon replied with a frown.

"Yes father." Dathan replied.

"I will see you all after my date. Dathan your in charge but you are to leave Catherine alone. She has had a very busy day and she has earned some well deserved rest." Demon replied.

"As you wish." Dathan replied. After Demon left I turned to leave. "Just where do you think your going?" Dathan demanded grabbing me by my collar.

"To bed." I replied.

"Wrong. There is still the little matter of your breaking the rules today."'Dathan replied.

"What are you talking about Dathan? You heard our father. Dad said to leave Catherine alone."

"I know what Dad said however, we can't let her get away with breaking the rules now can we? If she gets away with breaking the rules today what's to stop her from breaking the rules again whenever she feels like it?"

"This is a bad idea." Dehak replied with a worried 😧 look.

"Relax.'What Father doesn't know won't hurt him. Besides, you deserve to be punished don't you Catherine?" Dathan asked.

"Wes." I replied quietly lowering my head and closing my eyes to hide the tears that were threatening to fall.

"Don't even think about it!" Bacchus growled stepping in between Dathan and myself.

"Get out of the way Bacchus. Catherine is my slave and I will punish her as I see fit." Dathan replied angrily.

"Catherine doesn't belong to you she belongs to your father. He made it clear before he left that you were to leave Catherine alone." Bacchus replied standing in Dathan's way once more.

"Bacchus please don't do this don't wuin you fwiendship on account of me. Dathan has every wight to punish me."

"No he doesn't Catherine." Bacchus replied. "Don't you agree Dehak?"

"Well..." Dehak replied rubbing his hand across the back of his neck worriedly. This was one fight he didn't want to be a part of. "That is to say Dathan does have a point. We really shouldn't let her get away with breaking the rules."'

"You see, my brother agrees with me. No get out of my way Bacchus or so help me I won't hesitate to shoot you!" Dathan warned pulling out his blaster. However, he didn't really want to kill Bacchus only scare him so he set it on the lowest setting which was a stun setting.

"Go ahead. I won't let you punish her." Bacchus replied crossing his arms across his chest.

"So be it." Dathan replied raising his blaster and pointing it at Bacchus.

"No!" I screamed jumping in front of the blast causing me to be black out.

"Oh no. What are We going to do?"

"What do you mean we?" Bacchus and Dehak replied simultaneously.

"This is all on you." Bacchus replied.

"But... But..." Dathan replied.

"I'm am not helping you get out of this one. Your going to have to explain this one to your father yourself." Bacchus replied walking away.

"This is just great! Dad's going to kill us when he finds out that Catherine's hurt." Dehak replied.

"You mean if he finds out." Dathan replied with a smile.

"If? If is good. What do you suggest brother?" Dehak asked and Dathan smiled. Unfortunately, by the time it took them to come up with a plan and a way to carry it out Demon arrived back home.
