Catherine POV

I awoke to the sounds of fighting outside my quarters. I looked for Vader but he was nowhere to be found. Curious as to what was going on I left the room running directly into Princess Leia and some strange men. Behind them were a huge group of Stormtroopers who began shooting at them. "What is going on?"

"Get back here little miss! It isn't safe for you!" K-13 replied following close behind me.

"I thought that they had killed you. Come on, we are getting out of here." Leia replied grabbing My hand before I could react or respond.

"Who's she?" Han asked not liking surprises.

"She is coming with us that's all you need to know." Leia replied.

"Not without me she's not!" K-13 replied and I groaned.

"Who's that?" Han replied.

"I am K-13. I am a reprogrammed imperil droid."

The Stormtroopers who had been shooting at the Princess and her rescuers paused upon seeing Me being dragging me behind her followed closely behind K-13. "Ummm what do we do? We can't shoot at Lord Vader's apprentice. He'd kill us if he finds out."

"He will kill us if we let them escape. Set your gun to stun. This way, if we hit his apprentice, she won't be badly injured." One of the other troopers replied.

It didn't take them long to arrive at their ship but it was surrounded by storm troopers. However a few minutes later they all seemed to run off towards a hallway giving the rebels a chance to escape. I paused as I saw Vader fighting an old man. "Daddy?" I whispered worriedly for a moment .

"Ben?" The young blond asked in surprise. The old man looked over towards us and smiled while lowering his weapon. Vader took this time to strike the old man down. "No!" Screamed the young boy causing the nearby Stormtroopers to gaze in our direction and shoot at us. I just stood there in shock. Grabbed by Han I was shoved aboard followed by C3Po & K-13 who quickly rushed aboard the ship and it took off a few minutes later.

"We are coming up on their sensory ships. Hold them off. Angle the deflector shield while I charge the up the main guns." Han told Chewie.

Meanwhile in the back Luke sat at the table while I sat in K-13's arms trying hard not to cry. "He's gone." Luke said sadly.

"There was nothing you could do." Leia told Luke.

Luke sat at the table sighing sadly. I didn't understand why. "There is nothing you could have done."

"Come on buddy we are not out of this yet." Han said and Luke to the cockpit to watch the fight from the front of the shop while I sat there completely confused.

"K-13? I'm confused."

"About what little miss?"

"Who is bad?"

"That is hard to explain." K-13 replied with a sigh.

"Why is they shooting as us? Don't they know that Me is on this ship?" K-13 unsure how to respond didn't reply.

"We've lost the lateral controls." Leia called to Han.

"Don't worry she'll hold together." Han called to her his voice full of confidence. "Come on baby hold together." He whispered. Han shot one of the tie fighters and it exploded. Followed by Luke.

"I got it! I got it!" Luke called excitedly.

"Great kid! Don't get cocky!" Han replied back.

"There's two more out there!" Leia called to them. After the last two were blown up Han sighed.

"We did it!" Luke called excitedly.

"We did it!" Leia said happily as she hugged Chewie.

Meanwhile, I sat in K-13's arms and began to tremble and whimper burying my head in
K-13's chest. They had just shot and destroyed four tie fighters. What would they do to me if they found out who I really was? Would they kill me too?

Back on the imperial ship Tarkin & Vader watched as the ship went into hyperspace. "Are they away?"

"They just made the jump into hyperspace." Vader replied.

"You're sure the homing beacon is secure aboard their ship? I'm taking a awful risk here Vader. This had better work." Tarkin replied. Vader didn't reply. Tarkin wasn't the only one who was taking a risk. Vader knew that I was aboard the millennium falcon. If they couldn't track us then he'd have lost me and who knows if he'd ever get me back.

"Not a bad bit of rescuing huh? Sometimes I surprise even myself." Han said smugly.

"That doesn't surprise me. They let us go. That's the only explanation for the ease of our escape." Princess Leia stated.

"You call that easy?" Han replied somewhat shocked.

"They are following us." Leia replied.

"Not this ship sister." Han replied arrogantly.

"At least the information in R2 is still intact." Leia replied.

"What's so important? What is he carrying?" Han demanded. Even though I knew that ease dropping is wrong I listened in on their conversation in amusement. However, my eyes went wide with shock at her reply to the question.

"The technical readout for that battle-station. I can only hope that when the data is analyzed a weakness can be found."

"Is that what they wanted when I met you?"

"Yes. It's not over yet." Leia replied.

"It is for me sister! I'm not in this for your revolution and I'm not in it for you Princess! I expect to be well paid. I'm in it for the money."

"You need not worry about your reward. I'd money is what you love then money is what you'll receive. Your friend is quite a mercenary. I wonder if he cares about anything or anyone!" Leia said somewhat angrily as she turned to return to the back of the ship.

"I care." Luke called after her quietly. "So what do you think of her?" Luke asked Han sitting down in the empty chair beside him.

"I'm trying not too kid." Han grumbled.

"Good." Luke replied.

Han looked back towards the back of the ship. Still she's got a lot of sprit. I don't know what do you think a princess and a guy like me??"

"No." Luke replied before Han could even finish his sentence. Han smiled/ laughed at Luke's response.

"Are you alright?" Leia asked looking at me in concern as she entered the back area of the falcon.

"Me want my daddy." I replied with a whimper.

"If you don't mind me asking how old are you?" Luke asked as he entered into the back. "You look like your my age but you sound like..."

"Wike what?" I demanded irritatedly.

Luke rubbed the back of his neck nervously before replying "I didn't mean to offend you. I'm just curious." Luke replied.

"Curiosity killed de cat." I replied with a frown.

"But satisfaction brought it back." Luke replied.

"That is scientifically impossible. Things can not be brought back to life by a
feeling." K-13 replied and for the first time since my "rescue" I laughed.

"It's not meant to be taken literally." Luke replied. "So about my question..."

"The answer is none of your business." K-13 replied.

"I was just trying to make friendly conversation. No need to bite my head off." Luke replied.

"I have no need to eat food so there would be no point in bitting your head off." K-13 replied.

"Again, I didn't mean it literally." Luke replied. "So, what is your story? How did you wind up aboard that ship?"

"The same way I did. She was taken prisoner when my ship was attacked. Although I have wondered why they chose to spare her life with mine since they killed everyone else onboard." Leia replied.

"What a wonderful edition to your rebellion you've found your majesty. Ever considered the possibility that she is a spy?" Muttered Han sarcastically.
