Class VI Section B.

Grumpy teacher entered the class.

"Silence children!Raise your hands when I call out your name."

She called out a few names.

"Rama Naidu Daggubatti"

No response.

"Huh...where is that fella??Didn't he come to school today?"

"Miss,miss...he is there miss!"a student pointed at him.

"You are here,then why didn't you raise your hands?"

R: I will only show up if my bgm is played.

Okay Mr.Bhalla.Here goes...

Maahishmathi samrajyam asmakam ajeyam aa surya chandrathaara vardhathaam abhivardhathaam....🎶

The tall structure in uniform rose from his seat,arms bent at his waist.Rotating his head slowly,he gave a sinister smile.

R: Miss,you have to call me Rana. I like it that way.

"Oh I have to call you the way you like??Who do you think you are?? Stand up on the bench!!"

Frowning,he stood on the bench.The entire class went silent except for laughter and claps echoing around the room from one person.Grumpy Miss traced the sound to its origin and spotted the naughty boy.

"Uppalapati Venkata Sathyanarayana Prabhas Raju!!!"

If villain has bgm then hero too has to have one right?So,

Bhali bhali bhali ra bhali....

Little darling swung his legs across the bench in style and placing one leg over the knee of the other he flashed his killer smile.All the girls in the class clapped for him.

D: Hihihi thank you so much girls! 😊

"Look at his face!Stand up!!"she yelled.

Hair oiled neatly and side parted,D stood crossing his arms at his front feigning a pitiful look.

D used to tease R whenever the teacher read out his name in full but he had a longer name and when teacher called that out infront of the whole class,he felt embarrassed and his cheeks turned red.

"What is so funny that you were laughing??Taking 10 for English and you want to laugh??You too stand on the bench!"

Now it was R's time!He stuck his tongue out at D who in return stared at him.

"Both of you will stand like this for the entire period.Ok children take out your books."

R and D conversed through eyes.

R: See,your state is the same as mine.This is why you shouldn't laugh at others.

D: Gggrrr!!!Let the class end!I'll show you!!!

Lesson ended.It was recess.After the students and teacher left,D and R had a face off.

R: Hathapraveraa!!!😡

D: Jai Mahishmati!!!😡

They grabbed each other's collars.

D: Why did you make fun of me??

R: Why did you laugh at me??

They fought but not a serious one.These kind of little fights were common in their friendship.

C'mon guys you can't be fighting like this!Someone pls stop them!!!

Singing merrily and swinging her water bottle,the little milk beauty skipped along the corridor of the boys classroom.She peeped inside,

T: Hello anybody there?Oh no what's happening!!

T was dressed in a white shirt and navy blue pinafore.Her hair was braided in two sides and tied with ribbons.Her fringes came till her eyebrows and she resembled a porcelain doll that came to life. She came eagerly to have lunch with her buddies but seeing them in the midst of a brawl she got worried.

T: Rana stop!Pabsu stop!Don't fight!

The petite girl ran in.She tried to pull the two poles apart but it went in vain so she took her lunch bag and brought it near their noses.D's beak was the first to detect the smell.

D: Mmmm....yummm!!!Food!!!

R: Wow!!!This is divine!!!I'm hungry!!!

They released their hold on each other.

T: Foodies 🙄

R: Sorry macha...

D: Me too sorry ra...

They straightened each other's shirts,hugged and reconciled.

D: They're putting free food somewhere come let's go and attack..

R: You are right!We'll go get Tammy also!

T: Ahem...ahem...

They looked down and saw Tammy standing with lunch bag shooting angry looks at them.

R: Hey Lilliput!When did you come??

T: When you were fighting!How much I tried to pull you apart you know??Then I had to resort to my lunch bag.Uff !!If not for this you both wouldn't have stopped.

They smiled sheepishly and apologized to her.

T: I'm hungry too let's go and eat.

The nook below the staircase which lead to D and R's classroom was their den where the trio were mostly found if not in their classes or field.No one dared to go to that area knowing these notorious fellas who wouldn't hesitate to chase them away.They had also scribbled their names 'Rana, Tammy and Pabsu' on the wall to mark the place as theirs.Seated in a triangle formation they opened their lunch boxes.

D: I got tomato rice!

R: I brought egg sandwiches!

T: Mumma made us chapathi rolls.

She handed them each a roll.As per their drill,they had to feed each other the first morsel of their food before having it themselves. So since T was the youngest,D and R fed her first.

T: So how was your class today ?

R: Bad!That humpty dumpty miss made us stand on the bench!😞

T: Oh dear...Why??

R: I didn't like her calling me Rama Naidu and when I told her to call me Rana she asked me to stand on bench.

D: I laughed at that so she gave me same punishment and more over insulted me for getting 10 in English that too infront of girls.I felt so bad you know Tammy.😔

T: She did that??Such a bad miss!

R: Serves you right for teasing me!

D: Hello,you don't talk you also got low grades in Telugu!

T: Stop it guys!For this simple issue you were both fighting?Rana,you are good in English and Pabsu is good in Telugu why don't you help each other??

R: We do that Tammy but whatever I teach is not going to his head and same I understand nothing when he teaches me.

T: Ok we'll find a solution to that but first we have to teach that humpty dumpty miss a lesson!

D: Yes!!I was thinking the same!!

R: Right bava...I want to make her stand on the bench too!!

T: I got an idea!

She discussed her plan.After school ended,they went to a classroom where humpty dumpty miss would usually be during break time.True enough she was there marking notebooks.As per the plan,D and R kept their 'miss goody two shoes'face and entered the class.

"What is it boys?"

D: Miss,we didn't understand this.Can you pls teach us again??

"What were you both doing when I was teaching in class??Talking and laughing??That is why!Blah blah blah.."

And she went on with her lectures grilling the two boys.In that gap T crawled under the table.Using the two palm trees for cover,she discreetly inserted something into one of the books and scurried off.

"I will go through this again in class tomorrow.Pay attention then.Now go!"

They joined T who was waiting behind the door for them.

As the teacher turned the pages of the book,

"Aaahhh cockroach!!!"

She shrieked.She hurled the book away and jumped on her chair disgusted at that creepy thing unaware it was a plastic one.Seeing her up on the chair shivering in fear the trio guffawed.D and R felt relieved after avenging their insult.Exchanging high-fives,they escaped from the scene with T joining them all the way.

D: Hahaha...the way she jumped on the chair is so funny!!

R: Yes!Hereafter she won't mess with us again if she does next time we'll keep a lizard!Hahaha...thank you for the idea Tammy!

T: No problem.I'll do anything for my best friends.😊

She hugged them both.

D: Bava,we have to treat Tammy for this!

R: I agree.What do you want?

T: I don't want anything.I did not help you in return for treats.

D: We know that Tammy but still we would like to give you a treat.

T: Hmm...in that case I want to have ice gola!

The three went to the ice gola cart outside their school.

T: I want strawberry flavour!

The vendor made one and gave it to her.D and R paid the vendor.

T: You both are not having?

R: I'm having sore throat...I can't have.

D: My stomach is paining...I don't want...

T: Why didn't you both tell me you were unwell?I feel bad while having this while you both aren't...😞

Truth was both D and R had enough coins just for one ice gola and they wanted T to have it.

D: It's ok Tammy.We can have them tomorrow.You have this now...

Just then,the vendor passed one D and R each an ice gola.

R: Huh...uncle,don't want...we only paid for one...

"I saw you both fumbling with the coins you had.It's ok you can have these.You don't have to pay."

D and R were elated.They thanked the vendor and D promised to return the money the following day.With T in their middle,they walked sucking their ice popsicles.

T: Why did you both lie to me?

R: Because you would refuse if we said the truth.

T: So what?I could have had it tomorrow also.

D: But you felt like eating it today and we'd promised to get you what you asked for.

T: Thank you so much Rana and Pubsu.I'm so lucky to have you both as my friends.We should always be united like this.Ok?

R: Ok!

D: Double Ok!

The boys dropped Tammy at her place before returning home.
