You stood there, scanners moving all along the walls as they continued to gather information. Hiro was also there in the next scanner room over for a different reason, but it was certainly not for a medical check up. The scanners soon finished their work and shut off. "Code 054, you may exit the medical camber." A doctor's voice orders though the PA system. "Yes, sir." You responded, exiting the room.

You were laid down on a medical bed, doctors still probing you and assessing you with various medical instruments. A slight pain shot though your left arm, but it wasn't anything alarming. It was merely the doctors taking a blood sample. Soon, the examination was finished. One of the medical staff walking over to you with a clipboard in her hand.

"Code 054, your left Fibula has made a fully recovery." She starts as the other doctors started to cut away your leg cast. "You should take it easy for the time being, so do not do any psychical demanding activities. With your Humerus, Radius, and Ulna bones in your right arm, they will still require 2 weeks to fully recover. Any physical activities will prolong the recovery time." She explains.

"What about my eye?" You questioned. Her face still looked unfazed as she took a breath. "Your eye's orbital is still recovering. It's a relief you have a chance of a recovery at all." She coldly states. "From the scanning reports, the eye will take months to fully recover." Months. "I understand." You replied in the calmest tone you could use at the moment. "You are dismissed." She ends, walking off towards the medical offices.

As you were free to leave, you started to make your way towards the door. The door slid open and a waiting Hyaku met you. "My exam is finished." You announced, starling the girl. Why does she look so cute when she's startled? You thought as she stood up, slightly embarrassed by her face turning a bit red. "How long were you waiting?" You asked. "Well, since I was told you were going to get a checkup." She answered.

"How did the examination go? From the looks of it, it went well?" She asked worriedly, looking down at your newly recovered leg. "They said my left leg has made a fully recovery while my arm still needs a bit more time." You answered. "Well, that's good, but it looks like I still have an excuse to help you eat during lunch while that arm is in that cast." She jokes.

"You are not doing that again. My shirt got ruined by the jam last time." You retorted, your tone resembling your partner's humorous voice. "Aw, but it's so funny!" She whines, now starting be  a bit childish. "Yea, sure." You muttered. "Lets just get going. Hachi requested for you once you were done." Hyaku stated, taking your left hand and started to drag you.

After a few minutes of walking, you spoke up,"Hey, could you stop dragging me? I can walk fine." You asked as her pace was too much for you. "We gotta get there quick but you walk slower than a rock." She counters. You sighed as she was correct, but it was because of the cast. The rest of the walk there was in silence as you reached the elevator. The elevator took you up the birdcage and up to Hachi's office.

Once the elevator stopped at the top, you and Hyaku walked down the path towards Hachi's office. As you arrived, Hyaku opened the door and headed inside while you followed. "Code 054, Code 167, please take a seat." Hachi started as you and Hyaku did as you were told and took a seat.

"As of 11:00, automatic bulwarks and defenses detected Klaxosaur activity at a magma mining facility. Further data will be presented during squad 13's briefing. You two will be assigned to this mission as support. You will engage only if the situation deteriorates to where squad 13 is unable to handle it." Hachi lectures, a display behind him aiding his explanation.

"The rest of the parasites will be briefed in 30 minutes." Hachi adds. "You two can start to change into your parasite suits and meet in the briefing room. Dismissed." Hachi ends. You nodded and led Hyaku out of the room and back to the elevator. "We just got here, now we have to go back?" You groaned. "Honestly, this could have been done though our commutators." Hyaku also sighs.

You nodded in agreement as you entered the elevator and sent it down back into the plantation.

X---------- Timeskip ----------X

You finished the final touches to your parasite suit. It was the stranded parasite suit, but with orange outlining. Your cast remained, which would be annoying you could barely hold anything, let alone a control stick. Your eye wasn't too much of an issue as Hyaku could also help spot targets. You exited the changing room and headed down the hallway towards the meeting room.

You spotted Hyaku down the hallway entering the meeting room. She was faster than you in dressing out, but you never knew why. You followed suit, entering the meeting room to see Hachi and Nana already in discussion in front of the room. Hyaku was chatting with Zero Two surprisingly. Hyaku had a 'special' fondness for Zero Two, having her in her tolerance zone.

Walking over towards the girls, their attention peaked to you. "Hey (Y/N)" Hyaku greeted. "Hi Shi!" Zero Two cheerfully chirped. "Hello." You dryly greet to them, sitting somewhat next to them, maybe by a meter or 2. "Me and Hyaku were just talking about the others first mission." Zero Two says, her voice still cheerful. "Well, you are correct about that. However, I doubt Strelizia will be deployed." You said, a bit disappointed.

"Well, that means I won't be have any fun." She sighs. "Us either, we are going to be on security duty." Hyaku added. "Besides, It's not any fun to be wearing a cast while doing anything, let alone, piloting a franxx." You said, earning a small giggle from Zero Two. "Don't worry Shi, You'll do fine watching a bunch of newbies." Zero Two assures. "I hope it is just observing them. I'm not in any condition to fight." You said back.

You noticed that Hyaku looked down and away while you and Zero Two talked on, but it was most likely her in her thoughts. "Shi, If I am allowed to have some fun on this mission, be sure to save me some to dance with later!" Zero Two asks in her sweet tone. "If there is a good amount, I think you'll be fine on entertainment." You joked.

Zero Two slightly chuckles at your joke. "See? Shi gets it." Zero Two says, elbowing the light ginger beside her. "Why don't you?" Zero Two prods, moving her face to mere inches of space between the two. Hyaku just looked at her a bit annoyed.

Zero Two stood up and looked to you. "Well, It's been a nice conversation, but I'm going to find my darling." She states, turning herself towards the door. The door opened and Zero Two walking though, the door slid closed afterwards, leaving just you and Hyaku. A good 10 minutes go by while you made small talk with Hyaku about the previous night's event. Moments later, the door opens, Squad 13 trickling in with their parasite suits adorned.

"Take your seats parasites, Briefing will began shortly." Hachi announced as the rest of the parasites took their spots. By the time everyone was seated, you were next to most of the girls as they also sat near the ramp.

Goro looked around and formed a questioning expression.  "Where's Hiro?" He asked aloud, the other members also taking interested and looking around. "I'll go find him." You sighed, standing up and before you proceeded to walk out, a voice rang. "Also," Nana yelled out. "Go fetch Zero Two as well." You nodded and left the room. You headed down the hallway and found yourself at one of the checkpoints. You flicked your wrist to see your ID. S Class.

You never never understood why you were given the high ID class, but you saw it as Papa's favor and pride in you. You walked though and the gate turned from red to green, allowing you in. You had a feeling Zero Two took Hiro somewhere he wasn't allowed, she was a rebel after all. You didn't mind it too much, but if it affects papa too much, You would need to step in.

The eyed the hallways and looked around. "Where would I go If I was a trouble making elite." You mumbled to yourself. You looked to the right and saw the words 'Staff mess-hall.' it read. Lunch already pasted. You thought to yourself before looking to the left. "Observation balcony" It read. Maybe she's taking a small break. You cheered to yourself as you turned and walked towards the door.

Once you reached the door, it slid open, detecting you and allowing you in. As you entered, you saw who you were looking for. Hiro was currently at the railing and he looked worried, shaking you a bit. A pair of arms were stretched out beyond the safety railing with red uniform selves. Zero Two.

"Wait! That's not safe!" Hiro cried out, extending his left arm towards Zero Two. Zero Two continued to walk out further down the narrow beam, her pink hair flowing to the left while her arms steadied her. "Once we die, we'll only be a statistic. It doesn't matter who we were or what we were called." Zero Two explained in a monotone voice.

"Just look at this lifeless city." Zero Two continues on. "No skies, no oceans. It's only just a one-way street nowhere." She ends, her voice slightly sinking with each word. Those words stung you. Those are the adults we are suppose to protect. However, you kept yourself from exposing your presence.

Hiro shakes his extended arm again, signaling her to come back. "Look, it's not safe there! Please come back behind the railing!" Hiro worries. "Say Darling." Zero Two interrupts. "Do you want to run away from here?" She questions, again in her monotone voice along with a pair of relaxed eyes. "I can get you out of here, darling." She sweetly ends, now a smile on her face.

Her eyes dart to you, her form shaken a bit, but she retains her smile. A sudden gush of wind follows, making you cover your face from wind for a moment. It was short enough that you were able to notice Zero Two starting to lean to the right. You already knew what she was going to do, but Hiro didn't and start to whimper a bit, extending himself even further outwards.

Zero Two then uses the extra space from her lean to boost her to the angled end of the beam, giving her enough power to summer salt to the edge of the railing which she makes a long jump into the air towards you. She overshoots you and lands behind you. Hiro had been following Zero Two her eyes and once she did land, he spotted you.

"Looks like someone's been ease dropping again." She purrs, her eyes now retaining a devious look. "I'm guessing you heard me say something bad?" Zero Two teases, your response was to just look the other way. "Why are you here though?" Hiro asks, approaching you with a confused expression. "I was sent to get you both. The meeting is starting in a few minutes." You explained.

"Shi, you aren't avoiding my question this time." Zero Two says, grabbing your right ear. "Look, you can speak whatever, but just don't actually do them." You replied to the pink hair girl, her face somewhat changing. "I wasn't actually going to do it. It was just a joke!" She states, waving her hand dismissively. "Knowing you, that isn't." you muttered. "Let's just get going." You ended, walking towards the large sliding door.

The door slid open and allowed access into the hallways again. "Soooo," Zero Two draws out, her eyes slowly darting to you. "Shi, how's that arm doing?" Zero Two speaks up, in a sweet tone. "Never better." You dryly replied. "Wow, what a dead answer. Couldn't you at least tried to make an answer?" She whined a bit. You rolled your eyes and sighed. "Okay, my arm is recovering just fine. That better?" you retorted.

Zero two chuckled for a moment regaining her composure. "Much better! Keep answering like that and you'll be better in no time!" Zero Two cheered. In all of the talking, you would eye Hiro behind you, an analytical form on his face. The door to the meeting room neared as you continued to walk the rest of the way in silence. The meeting door opened as you entered along with Hiro and Zero Two.

Hiro sat at the far left near the other stamens, Zero Two sitting besides him. You would sit next to Hyaku who was near the ramp leading to the display. Hachi cleared his throat and began. "We've received orders from HQ for squad 13 to sortie." Hachi begins. "Huh? Why are we already going out to fight already?" Futoshi worries, his voice mixed with confusion and fear. "Don't get so nervous, you most likely won't be fighting a klaxosaur like the one before." Nana calms.

"Thank goodness." You heard Miku sigh alongside with Kokoro. "We would've liked to ease you in, however, not every squad has the luxury to do." Nana explains further. "Recent reports have found a single Conrad-class klaxosaur. The Conrad class a bit smaller than a Franxx, but can still pose a threat if left untreated." Hachi continues on.

"Klaxosuars are attracted by magma-energy reactions and appear in their vicinity. As of now, these reports have showed us that a Conrad Class has showed up deep in a Level 8 mine on the outskirts and wreaking havoc." Hachi says, his voice dry and pointed his hand towards the hologram in front of him, displaying information of the magma mine.

"The automatic bulwark systems were not enough to deter it away" Hachi ends. "Just for you information," Nana picks up after Hachi. "Strelitizia will not be apart of this mission." She explains, Hiro gasping for a moment in a perplexed manner. "You'll have to defend Plantation 13 by yourselves soon." Nana speaks up. "If you can't eliminate a single klaxosaur, then your chances of facing anything else is slim, so focus on the task at hand." She ends.

"Ichigo and Goro will have field command." Nana adds. "Roger." Both Ichigo and Goro answered in unison. "On another note, Clyepum will be tagging along as a observance squad and a sail safe." Nana says. "In case the reports are false, Clyepum will take part in the operation to safeguard you." Hachi states, earning you a glare from Ichigo for a brief moment.

"That is all. Prepare to sortie." Hachi announces. As everyone started to leave and head towards the Hanger, you stood up and walked over to the windows overlooking the hanger where the Franxxs were being held. Hiro noticed you walking over and faced you. "Where's your Franxx?" He questioned and he again turned to face the hanger windows.

"Besides the Franxx named Chlorophytum. It's currently still behind those blinds because it was repairing." You explained, Hiro nodding in response. "Look, I know you got an interest in Zero Two. It's pretty obvious to that." You said, taking Hiro aback. "Just as a word of advice, just go along with what she says. It'll get you thought some awkward moments." You informed.

"Why?" Hiro pondered to you. "Dr. Franxx told me, and I quote, 'She can go a bit over the top'." You replied before you walked away from Hiro. The door shrieked before opening, allowing you to move down towards the hanger. The walk was quiet, the hallways all being the same but it didn't bother you. Papa has other problems to deal with instead of wall paint.

You stepped on the catwalk that lead to Clyepum, a patient Hyaku waiting. "Wow, you're 1 minute late. What a surprise." She teases, lightly punching your left arm. "Eh." You blankly reply. "It's only the 1 time being late, wanted to talk with Hiro." You explained as you entered the cockpit. It had new freshness to it as the last cockpit had a massive rock invited into it.

"Alright, lets get ready." You said, helping Hyaku up into the cockpit. Hyaku took her position on the pistil's platform while you took your seat behind. The control joysticks sprung to life from Hyaku's parasite suit, allowing you to grab them which you did a moment later. "Alright, Connect." You uttered before you focused with connecting with Hyaku.

The lights on the back of Hyaku lit up, leading up towards the large monitor on her back, displaying the negative and positive pulse. Both meters quickly filled up and averaged to around 106. "Clyepum is active. Please lower the protective barriers around us." Clyepum announced. "Come on out already!" Argentea whined. "Lets see what Clyepum looks like!" Zorome adds.

After a moment, the protective barrier finally lower, revealing the red and gray ancient armor designs. The shield, nearly the size of Clyepum itself to the left while a massive but narrow spear to the right. The 2 extra javelins were tucked in the shield already. "Whoa, you've got a lot of armor on." Zorome remarks.

"Don't worry, we're still decently fast despite our armor." You replied. Clyepum grabbed the shield with it's left hand and the spear with it's right hand. Clyepum marched out of the containment unit for the Franxx. Looking to the right a bit, a inactive Chlorophytum stood. "Why aren't they active?" Clyepum questioned. "Not sure, but we need to move out."

X---------- Timeskip ----------X

"So, what are we gonna expect on this mission, Clyepum?" Delphinium asks, taking Clyepum's attention. "Well, according to intelligence reports, this should be a fairly easy mission. A Conrad class can barely fight a Franxx on its own, let alone a squad." Clyepum laid out. "So it should be simple elimination of a single klaxosaur and return back." Clyepum ends.

"Well, I'm  just glad we aren't facing too hard first." Genista sighs in relief. "I want our first fight to be a good one! So lets see if this klaxosaur gives us a good one!" Zorome boasts aloud while Argentea just rolled her eyes.

A short time while, all of the Franxxs were assembled at the outer edges of the mining facility. "What a big hole. How far does it even go down?" Genista wonders, resting the massive cannon on her left shoulder. "This is just crazy. It's a monster pipe." Zorome adds. "They use these to extract the magma reserves, huh?" Goro ponders.

"Move to level 8 via the magma fuel lifts on your left." Hachi points out, the metallic clanging of the lifts replacing Hachi's voice over the radio. "Clyepum, take the first lift first." Hachi orders, Clyepum nodding to the order. Placing the shield on the lift and her spear leaning on the shield, the roman-like Franxx riding down the first lift down.

"Squad 13, wait until the area is clear to precede with operations." Hachi adds. "Roger that." Delphinium replies. It wasn't too tense as you trusted the reports. It was from Papa's greatest, so why would there be a reason to doubt it? Shortly afterwards, Clyepum grabbed her shield and spear, readying into a defensive posture with the shield up front and the spear behind.

"Area is clear." Clyepum replied back to command. "Copy." Hachi answered. "Squad 13, proceed down to level 8. Clyepum, report any activity while the rest move down." Hachi ends. "Yes, sir." Clyepum responses. The sound motorized movement of the lifts becomes louder and louder by the second, a clear sign the rest are moving down.

"As you're well aware already, in order to completely eliminate a klaxosaur, you must destroy its core. The core is a blue circular orb roughly within the center and must be shattered from your magma-energy weapons. Destroy the core and the klaxosaur will be neutralized. Understood?" Hachi explained. "Roger." All of the Franxxs replied in unison.

Clyepum would trail behind as she wasn't meant to fight in today's battle, only to analyze the combat performance and to be a fail safe just in case things fell apart. "Heading to objective." Delphinium said, starting to walk while the others followed. "Follow behind Delphinium, all of you." Delphinium ordered, Genista immediately agreeing.

"And Miku?" Delphinium prods, earning an annoyed grunt from Argentea.  "Understood!" She replied annoyingly. The walk continued, the narrow and long hallways being dotted with pipe lines carrying materials. Turning to the left, Delphinium stopped.

The room on the left was a magma fuel refinery storage, full of metallic cylinders that was likely holding raw magma. A blue and black blob was attached on one, it being the klaxosuar.

"We have a visual on the klaxosaur. We're in position to commence operation." Delphinium relayed back to Hachi.

"Huh, it's smaller than I thought it'd be." Argentea remarked. "What a relief." Genista adds. Clyepum would set her shield down and rested her spear on it. "We'll be here as the fail safe." You said. "Alright, the rest of you, stay alert. We'll do this as planned." Delphinium orders and began to sprint towards the klaxosaur, the others following suit.

Delphinium raised her right spear and plunged it into the klaxosaur, ripping it's skin and flesh before pulling it out and replacing it with her left spear and ripped it off the cylinder. The klaxosaur bounced onto the ground and around the cylinder, in time for Genista to stab it with cannon's bayonet and lifted it up into the air where a descending Argentea was present.

"Gotcha!" Zorome states as Argentea lands her blades into the klaxosaur, ripping it apart until it stopped moving. "Way to go Zorome!" Futoshi cheered. "See? That's what I'm capable of!" Zorome boasted as he made Argentea strike a victorious stance.  "Hey! Cut it out already! Your making a fool out of us both." Argentea whined.

"I recommend you destroy the core before It decides to get back up." You said, taking Argentea's attention to you. "Yea, yea, I know!" Zorome retorted. "For a klaxosaur, this was barely an issue." "I wouldn't call it a victory just yet until HQ has confirmed no other sightings." Clyepum added. "Stop being such a whiner, we'll-" Argentea was interrupted as the klaxosaur from before shrieked and lunged toward their face.

Argentea's screams rang out as she was suddenly taken off her feet by the klaxosaur that latched onto her face and started to assault to face plate. Soon, her display blinked out after a few seconds, giving Genista enough time to line up a shot on the klaxosaur. "Damn you!" Futoshi shouted as Genista fired her cannon to into the klaxosaur.

The klaxosaur wailed as it was thrown to the ground from the blast, it's core now exposed. Delphinium took the chance by jabbing both of her spears into the core, shattering it and eliminating the klaxosaur. "You okay, Miku?" Delphinium cried out, adopting a defensive position around the fallen Franxx. Clyepum stayed nearly still for the entire confusion, staying by the previous orders given.

Abruptly, another Conrad class fell from the ceiling and readied itself for combat. "There was another one?" Goro panicked. "Uh, wait a second.." Futoshi worries. As on cue, more Conrad class klaxosuars dropped from the ceiling. "Lets get away from here for now!" Delphinium barked as she lifted up a inactive Argentea.

"Delphinium, you have field control over Clyepum. Use them as you need." Hachi adds, Delphinium now darting her eyes to Clyepum. "Cover our escape, but don't fall behind!" Delphinium ordered. "Confirmed."Clyepum dryly answered as she picked up her shield and spear.

Genista started to trail behind Delphinium, leaving you and Clyepum in the room alone. A swing from the spear would cut down the klaxosuars, going though them like butter and turning them into the blue mist. A few had escaped the initial swing, but they would soon also join their comrades. One of the klaxosuars tried to flank Clyepum's left, but a punch from the shield and a quick stab did it in.

The combination of beating and stunning the enemy with the shield and finishing them with the spear was a simple yet effective move. If it did come to desperate measures, the shield could be used to beat klaxosuars into submission. A storage container that sat behind the shield at the lower regions could either hold explosives or extra fuel while it was flanked by the two javelin containers.

Another large swing of the shield threw most of the rest into the left corner, allowing Clyepum to penetration all of the klaxosuars with her spear in one stab of her spear. The blue mist splatters on the shield and surrounding walls. Clyepum turned her body towards the hallway and followed the path back to the main area where squad 13 was most likely heading down.

"Clyepum, over here now!" Delphinium yelled, waving one of her spears to signal you over. "Copy." Clyepum says, now making a full sprint for the checkpoint bulwark door with more klaxosuars close behind. "Close it!" Clyepum shouted and Genista proceed slam the lever down and the blast doors start to lower. Genista would line her cannon up and started to fire down the hallway, nearly hitting Clyepum.

"Your firing too close!" You shouted. A round was about to hit Clyepum, so she was forced to pull her shield up to block the shot, causing her to lose a bit of speed. A klaxosaur took advantage and sprung onto the edge of the shield, nibbling away at it. "Screw off you sorry excuse of a annoyance!" You bellowed, Clyepum smashing the shield into the wall and causing the quick death of the klaxosuar.

Just barely making past the closing gate, Clyepum dropped her shield and spear and used both hands to close the blast doors faster and propped herself to the door awaiting the incoming tidal wave of Conrad classes. Without warning, the door started to buckle as klaxosuars started their assault on the door.  "Hold the door!" Clyepum shouted, the other two franxxs nodding and propped themselves on the blast doors.

The sound of steel ringing on steel along with the klaxosuar's desire to pry the door open fill the air. The door creaking every second as it starts it's bolts starts to loosen from the physical force exerted on the door. The strain on your arm's cast was painful, along with a dull but lasting pain in your covered eye.

"Miku came back to life!" Zorome said inspirit as Argentea started to move again. "Thank goodness!" Genista said, relieved. "Shut up Zorome! I didn't died!" Argentea grumbled as she stood. "Great! Help us hold the door!" You barked, Argentea soon joining the rest of you holding the door back. "This door won't last forever and we won't either. Commander, what's the plan?" You relayed though your radio.

"Strelitzia will be arriving to come bail you out. Hold out until then." Hachi's voice came though the radio. "All right! If we hold out for a while we should be able to get out of here!" Futoshi cheered with Genista agreeing shortly afterwards. "Who is it..? Who's piloting it?!" Delphinium shrieked. "Hey, Ichigo! Focus!" Goro tried in vain to get her to stop panicking, but it wasn't enough to stop Delphinium from falling to the floor.

Understanding what was going to happen, you made Clyepum grab the extra storage container that was tucked in the shield and one of the javelins. "Everyone, make a dash for the center!" You ordered as Clyepum placed the storage container on the door as it continued to bow outwards towards you.

Clyepum jammed the javelin into the container, which held explosives, and pressed the activate button, the rockets at the end firing off and made sure it stuck to the door. Grabbing her shield and spear, Clyepum backed away and ran after the rest. Seconds later, an explosion rings off the walls, it becoming deafening to everything and wrecking anything that was unfortunate enough to be next to it.

"We can't handle this many!" The proximity radio chirped out, the voice belonging to Futoshi. Clyepum, also hearing it, started to sprint as fast as she could, even ramming to the wall as the corner turned. You could see that the 3 others franxxs had formed a semi circle and the colors of black and blue was present. "Hey, Leader.." Argentea when off, deep growling being heard.

"What're we going to do..?" Argentea ended, fear written all in her tone.  A Moho class klaxosaur appeared in front of them and you knew they were in a state of shock. As Clyepum ran towards them, she grabbed the last javelin and ripped it off it's hinges. Without thinking, you had just dropped the spear back in the hallway as Clyepum desperately tried to reach the others. The Moho class's mouth opened in front of the frozen franxxs.

"Back away from them you bastard!" You screamed, Clyepum shoving though the group of shocked Franxxs and throwing , at full force, the javelin into it's mouth. The javelin found it's mark, as it stuck inside the klaxosaur's mouth. Soon, Clyepum jumped into the Moho's mouth, using her shield to help push it even further into it's body. Soon, it exploded, exposing the core of the klaxosaur and sending Clyepum into the center of the Conrad classes.

"Clyepum!" The other Franxxs shouted in unison. Their attention is soon taken away as a long red trimmed white lance hits the exposed core, turning the whole klaxosaur into blue mist. The whole center of the floor was crushed as well as blue blood staining the entire area. Bodies of nearby Conrad class klaxosuars also litter the field, most stunned while some were killed. 

"Hiro..?" Delphinium uttered as a blood caked Strelitizia walked away, holding one of the Conrad classes by it's tail. "Is that you, Hiro?" Delphinium said, more recovered this time. "All of you, get to safety." Mitsuru said though the radio. "Huh? Why are you here Mitsuru?" Zorome confusedly questioned. An audio only display popped up,"All units, let Strelitzia and Clyepum finish the mission. The rest of you will evacuate to the top." Hachi ordered.

"Roger!" Goro said on behalf of squad 13. "Lets get going. Good luck you two!" Genista said, getting on the first platform, being followed by Delphinium, lastly by Argentea. Clyepum was still embedded in the wall while this happened, her shield still in hand. The face plate was currently inactive, until a few seconds later as it blinked back up. "Ugh, that was a hell of a hit." You remarked.

"No kidding.." Clyepum commented as well. "Shi, thanks for keeping some dance partners." Strelitizia meekly thanked. "Yea, yea, could've destroyed them all, but have fun." You shooed away and Strelitizia's smile turned even bigger as she stabbed the klaxosuar in her hand, the blue blood splattering all around the armor and ground. You heard a small chuckle over the radio, which it wasn't Strelitizia's.

"This.. is amazing!" Mitsuru remarked, laughing in-between every few words. "This power! I feel like I can do anything! I never imagined this effect of changing partners. I knew I wasn't the problem!" Mitsuru continued on, Strelitizia now slashing and cutting away groups of klaxosuars.  "I'm just as good as Hiro! Hiro, are you watching his? We're in perfect harmony!" Mitsuru states.

"I can pilot Strelitzia as I please, without losing consciousness! If you want, Zero Two, I don't mind becoming your official partner! We'd make the great duo, don't you think?" Mitsuru finally ended. Jesus Christ, he's an annoying little twat. You thought, Clyepum now going to work by stunning and bashing the klaxosuars with her shield so Strelitizia could mop them up quickly.

"Oh, really?" Strelitizia sweetly asked. "I guess I can try going all-out for a bit, then." Strelitizia ended with a creepy smile. You only heard a meek 'huh?' from Mitsuru. "Zero Two, I don't think you need to do that." You assured, making Strelitizia turn her head Clyepum. "Cmon, I wanted to dance, so I will dance." She purred, now returning to slicing away at the stunned klaxosuars.

"Strelitizia, that's enough. The other units have evacuated already. Get out-" "I'm gong to dance a little bit more before I leave." Hachi was cut off by Strelitizia. "No! Return at once, Zero Two!" Nana demanded. "Eh." Strelitizia said before cutting her radio off. "Shi, want to be my dance partner, Shi?" Strelitizia asked with her hand extended out to Clyepum.

"Clyepum! I order you to return!" Nana shouts into your radio. "With all due respect, another Moho class klaxosuar has entered the field. It would be a problem if it's left unattended." You explained before also entering radio silence. "Alright, but let's make this quick." You answered. "That's the spirit!" Zero Two cheered as she took Clyepum's hand. "Lets dance!" She shouted as Strelitizia and Clyepum slash away at the remain klaxosuars.

X---------- Timeskip ----------X

The fight was intense, however short. Strelitizia was covered in blood while Clyepum's shield was mostly covered. Strelitizia suffered barely any damage while Clyepum's armor plating had chipped away and cracking from the constant abuse during the fight. Clyepum was first on the platform, followed by Strelitizia.

"Well, that was intense." You breathed out, finally getting the chance to rest. Your right arm was sore and in pain and lines of blood soaked out of your eye patch. The strain on you was too much. "You feeling alright, Hyaku?" you asked, relaxing further in the pilot's seat. "Yeah." Clyepum responded. "How about you?" She asked back. "Just dandy." You retorted.

"Guess this was an interesting surprise, huh?" Clyepum joked, picking up the damaged shield to inspect it. It had large chucks of it missing and the black and yellow paint was gone, replaced with the blood mist from the countless dead klaxosuars. The armor was present, but full of scraps, cuts, dents, and pieces just plain gone. "A wonderful one, totally." you replied back, annoyed, as you were just trying to relax.

"Lets just get back, I'm tired." You stated, trying to stop any further conversation. "Fine."  Clyepum huffed, dropping the shield back onto the platform. The low rise gave you plenty of time to rest, but it felt so much faster because as soon as you started to finally relax, the platform stopped, now at the surface.

Walking off the platform, csaw all of the other deactivated Franxxs and walked over. "Wanna stretch our legs?" Clyepum asked though a display in the cockpit. "Honestly, lets just go back to the plantation and get myself check up and go to sleep." you said, stretching your neck and back.

While you were still inside Clyepum, Zero Two exited Strelitizia , alone. She looked down at the parasites and waved her right hand while a smile formed on her face. Looking down and adjusting one of the cameras, you noticed it was Hiro she was offering the smile to. Glad she's getting along with others. However, his eyes turned to fear. "Oh right, that prick, Mitsuru." You said in a dejected tone.

"Guessing he took his beating." Clyepum added. I guess I can talk to her on what she did to Mitsuru. You pondered as the sky's tone of orange slowly turned into the night sky.  Sinking into thought, the question again found itself at the fore front of your mind.

Have I failed everyone, including papa again?
