Fury; Correcting Wrong

Correcting Wrong

Fury didn't know what to do. It wasn't like she could just leave Earth; the only way that she could create portals was if Turbulence reached a certain speed and she was mentally focused. Her black mare was so anxious, she doubted that the mare would be able to even gallop. Fury herself was in no better state. She was having trouble trying to come up with a plan, which was something that she just never did.

Maybe we should just give up on Strife and Conniption, Turbulence nickered suddenly, cursing when her hooves twisted on the rock that they were walking down. Not saying that I want too or anything.

"No," Fury replied, placing her hands on her hips and sighing. "I'm not leaving any of my brothers like that. They've helped us many times before."

Turbulence snorted and flicked her ripped ear a little. Fury could sense her worry and she reached out kindly to her mare to wrap her hand gently against her brindle. Her mare made another snorting noise, this time one made up of clear affection for her. I know. I just don't like knowing that Conniption's in trouble like this. For all we know, Jonathan and Wrath could be on our tails or torturing Strife and Conniption while we sit here and talk. I just do not like it.

This time Fury waved her hand through Turbulence's black mane, finding comfort in it. "I don't like it either."

A strong gust of hot air hit Fury an Turbulence hard across their fronts, the dessert heat below scorching them. Fury sighed and was about to start moving when she sensed an attitude change in her mare. She glanced at Turbulence to see her head hp high, ears flicked up and her nostrils flaring as she breathed in and out for a scent. A mental picture of War, Ruin and a cat flashed across Fury's mind. She stood and looked out over the dessert, her hand still resting on Turbulence's cheek gently.

"You have War's scent?" she asked excitedly. With War being near, she knew that there would be a much greater chance to raid Hell and actually win. War was huge and indestructible when it came to him and Ruin riding. The chances bucked up a little.

But what about the cat? Turbulence reflashed the cat picture again. This time Fury saw a huge white and black spotted cat with large paws and wide blie eyes. How Turbulence could scent these things, Fury didn't know.

"I don't know and don't care," Fury stated almost angrily. She slung herself up onto Turbulence's back and spurred her forward.

Right away Turbulence bolted forward, acting like she wasn't jumping off of a mountain and flinging herself out into the open. Fury gathered up the reins carefully as they flew, gradually predicting the time until they hit the dessert sand expertly. She was only a small millisecond off. When Turbulence slammed into the ground, Fury was forced to run a little ways forward before her mare popped right back up under her, acting like a whale coming up for air. Fury adjusted and simply spurred Turbulence again, a small smile twitching at the side of her face. While her brothers might have larger horses, Fury was the only one with actual spurs. Turbulence was much more aggressive than what her stallion brothers were and Fury just liked them for show really.

They raced across the dessert, Fury leaning down into her mare and occasionally tapping her sides witht the spurs. Even though the sand was up to Turbulence hooves, she showed absolutely no trouble in galloping. Fury could her rhythmic breathing as her rins sunk in and pushed out under her. Sand blizzarded behind them, leaving the Stygian worms coughing in their dust and stopping raised up in the air to watch them as they raced by. Once, one got big and tried to stop them.

For that one, Fury had leapt up off of Turbulence, her whip in her left hand dangerously. Unlike the other weapons that her brother used to fight, Fury's whip was... well alive. It pulsed and had a heart beat just like anything else that was alive, withering and whispering in her hand as every slowed down in front of her. She had always allowed herself to listen to the whip but actually letting it take control of her would cause dangerous options. It was sort of like Chaoseater in that sense; it could consume her easily.

The worm was up in the air, mouth wide as its teeth whirled on the sides of its mouth. Turbulence was still raging forward, never slowing down even though it was up in her path. All of the worm's attention was focused upon Fury as she flew toward it. Some of the other worms were there to mostly watch and throw moral support for their friend, their whistles and high pitched calls falling through the air.

Then Fury smiled.

It was her move. When she smiled, you just knew to get the Hell out of her way, no matter her pretty that it looked. Of course now, the worm didn't know that, might have he and he probably would have made sure to dodge her. But he didn't so in other words, he died.

Fury swung her left arm in an arc, her pulsating whip snapping around to meet the Stygian worm face forward. It roared as it sliced through the little stalks that served as his eyes and it reared back, its body convulsing amd screaming heavily. Turbulence zoomed past, barely noticing the commotion much. Fury, as she flew past the worm on its right, jerked her arm forward and before it could move out of the way, a fountain of blood poured from its new, killing wound. With an awkward scream, the worm fell back to the dessert sand, its heart sliced in half and both eyes falling from its head. Fury landed nicely on Turbulence's saddle and, as if nothing had happened, she spirred Turbulence forward once more.
