Fury; Bury Me

Fury

Bury Me

She sat with her whip in her lap, legs crossed, hands gripping her knees as she squeezed her eyes shut, trying her best to find peace. Eventually she deemed it impossible; earlier events were the downfall upon finding internal pease; and she hunched over with a sigh, peeking over at Jonathan. His mental state could be either, and Fury had seen them both. She had seen him so calm that not even the slightest hit could possibly take him out of his state. And yet, she had seen him so angered or frustrated that he was spitting every word out. That was the thing about dating someone who saw the past and future with their mind; an unstable person would eventually die under all of that stress.

"Couldn't do it?" Jonathan asked her calmly, never moving. He looked like those famous meditating people, legs crossed, back straight and head looking straight ahead with his eyes closed. The cyborg part of him tended to be stiff and he looked just fine doing this stuff.

"No." Fury pouted as she unraveled her long legs from each other, standing up as Jonathan finally opened one of his eyes -well, eye really- to look at her. "How about I show you what I do when I'm mad?"

The Nephilim Cyborg hummed to himself, not moving. "Build up of steam... You want to relieve stress?"

"Not in that way, Jonny! How about just some sparring? I'm up to it."

Jonathan huffed, beginning to break down his meditation gently as Fury tapped her foot impatiently at him, waiting. As beautiful as she was with her long white hair, she was just as impatient, if not more. He caught himself looking further down near her chest and he snapped himself out of it when she smirked at him, poking out a hip and resting a hand on it.

"Like what you saw?" she teased.

As he stood, Jonathan reached out for her waist and pulled him flush against him, brushing back one of her white bangs that had fallen a tad bit. "Of course I did." Fury giggled as she placed a hand on his chest, listening to the smooth growl that came from the Cyborg. "You were saying about sparring?"

Tracing the hard, muscular shapes of his collarbone, Fury giggled again as she leaned closer to him, suggestively glancing down at his lips. They were strange. Half were robotic and the other half were pure skin. The perfection of half and half. She had kissed them plenty of times before and each time it was like their first kiss in that old school closest that he shoved them into back when they had been teenagers. Passionate, wonderful and every time she found herself wanting more from him. He was so cute that it was funny whenever he snickered at her, knowing everything that she was feeling. Slowly, she moved her hands up along his neck, pulling herself up to where their lips were inches from each other. Jonathan tilted his head to the side, snicker pulling the sides of his mouth up, as he pulled her lower half closer to him by her head and moved his other hand upwards toward her smooth white hair, tangling it up in his metallic fingers gently.

"I say that maybe we forget about sparring, no?" Jonathan suggested softly. "We could forget about things for about maybe an hour or two."

"That sounds wonderful..."

"Hey!" Oscuro, Rasha and Lilith's immature son, literally almost skipped into the little fighting ring that Fury and Jonathan had taken for themselves. Neither bothered to move at all, besides shooting the demon pointed glares at him when he made a face. "Rasha wants you Horsemen," the demon announced, gesturing toward where his father was.

"Tell him he can wait." Jonathan growled.

If Oscuro's face had been twisted with disgust before, then when Jonathan leaned down to kiss the top of Fury's nose affectionately, he leaned toward one of the fence posts and basically died. Deciding that he had enough teasing, Fury regrettably pulled away from her mate, still hanging on by his neck with her arms. "Alright, Oscuro, we'll be there."

"Eventually," Jonathan added before the demon could walk away. Once the demon was out of earshot, he turned back to Fury, trailing his hand through her long white hair. "Do we have too?"

"Considering that it is the Demon Lord, Jonny, then yes." Fury grabbed his collar and held him down as she gave him a smoldering kiss, signaling that they would be fine. "Rasha probably just came up with some plan that will kill someone."

************************************

Okay so maybe the plan wasn't going as plan so far. Alooc had been found right before he went after War but Fury had a feeling that had been Strife's doing. As the two large cats fell from the sky, Fury watched her youngest brother fling himself off as well, twirling Chaoseater in his hands as he went. She found herself smiling as Rasha roared and she raced forward, bounding before the other demons that surged forward along with her. Angels poured out of the White City to meet them head on.

Fury attacked first in her rank, having a weapon that reached longer distances than most besides her. She placed a foot down, brought up an arm, and then snapped it about before her, slinging her pulsing whip out around in front of her with a hissing noise. Angels cried out in pain as it connected to them, ripping through their outermost layer of armor and then tearing through their actual bodies. They hadn't even recovered when the group that Fury was in slammed into them, mouths agape and heads lowered to pierce the angels bodily through. She followed in behind them, calling upon Turbulence as she leapt up and over them.

The mare came with a loud nicker and a squelching noise as she crushed an angel underneath her front, which barely made her move as she maneuvered through the swarm of angels, tail flaming behind her. Fury landed precisely in her saddle, switching sides with her attacks and smacking several flying angels from the sky. As they fell, their chasing demon latched on to them, armor platings flying through the air as they tore through it to get to the weaker skin underneath. Blood flew as they bit into the angels or the winged angels managed to break free, slashing through them with their halberds before tilting to change direction with their gorgeous wings. That was up in the sky.

Down on the ground, things were starting to rumble down to hell. Not literally; Heaven and Hell was like two polars of an universe; but it was beginning to get rather close to it. Angels were fighting just like the demons, coming back as unremitting forces and matching their furiousness with their own moved. Fury plowed them down, either with Turbulence or her whip. They had no chance.

Well, some do.

A roar broke through the battlefield, making her turn her head in just enough time to see Death coming at her. He slammed into her, knocking her free from Turbulence and tossed her struggling body away from him, snarling. Turbulence nickered in surprise when Despair collided into her.

Dust circled down from the sky, easily invading angels and demons as they fought. Fury grunted as she stood, her eyes locking on Death's when the crow landed on his hunched shoulders. Debris fell from his skin, chucks slipping free and landing on the Holy ground that they were standing on. She brushed herself off of the stuff that had gotten on her shoulders, knowing well that the rest would eventually come off.

A pair of scythes fell into Death's hands and Fury flicked her whip around. Giving Death a chance to make an attack was like asking for him to kill her; she had learned her lesson long ago. Her whip came around fast, prepared to strike Death's head free from his shoulders. He didn't move. Fury's face fell but she continued to let her whip keep going, knowing that Death had some trick up his sleeve. She didn't know what it was but she wasn't afraid of it. The Nephilim couldn't die -so why should she be afraid of her older brother?

Death moved his wrist gently. Before Fury's whip could even touch his cheek a hand was grabbing it, yanking hard on the whip and pulling Fury with it. She yelled as she was pulled forward and she found herself almost touching another person's nose. It wasn't Death but she was sure that she would have preferred him.

"How dare you try and attack the White City?" Olpa growled. Her sliver hair iluminated her face perfectly, bringing out her sliver eyes. "Such an action is only rewarded with death itself!"

"Bring it on then, bitch!" Fury snarled back.

Olpa released the Horsewoman as she drew back her sword, flapping her glistening sliver wings. Fury didn't cry out as the sword cut through her ribs and swung her free fist. She hit the angel Commander hard across her jaw, and Fury was smacked backwards by one of her wings. Olpa's fighting stlye was a mystery to her, but the description that Strife had told her was matching so far. With a growl Fury leapt up and seized the angel's wing in her grasp. The other female shouted out as she was dragged to the ground, her sword swinging wildly for Fury to release her.

Pulling away, Fury heard the crack and the answering scream of pain from Olpa. Like she was tossing away an object she did not want anymore, Fury chucked the wounded angel away from her. Olpa scrambled to her feet, cradling her now limp wing. "You mad woman!" the angel spat.

"Mad? I am fury and anger created in a form; yes, I am mad! And maybe a little on the crazed side," she added after a minute.

"You're nothing like your brothers! At least their fighting for the right side!"

Fury straightened, eyes narrowed. She gestured toward the shadow of War, his famous blade lifted high and his orange tattoo glowing despite the light. "Do you really think he's fighting for Heaven because you're the right choice? He's fighting simply because you helped Melody! He's trying to repay a debt!" Then she gestured toward Death, who was throwing up his arms, summoning an army of zombies. "And that one's here to save his ass!"

"I think you misjudge them," Olpa exclaimed. "Perhaps they're not as bad as you make them sound. They know what is right and what is wrong."

She paused. "Maybe."

And then the ground underneath them was jerking. Fury's head snapped up, looking at the city that was being to fall. Some of the strongest demons that she had seen were on one side, lifting up the bottom half of the White City into the air. She couldn't believe it as angels pushed past her, yelling as they dragged demons with them. Even Olpa pushed by, running as fast as she could.

The marvelous white scructure tilted as the demons finally got that part into the air, their grunting and groaning just aduible above the angels screams. She even spotted War racing by, sporting a small limp. Melody, with Alooc snapping at her tail, darted by, joining up with Ruin as the huge horse thundered through the slowing demons. Then Fury saw Death, once again summoning his zombies but with more of a purpose this time, his face twisted into an emotion that had never thought that she would see on his face.

An arm wrapped about her waist and Fury grabbed at Jonathan, trying to vice her face in his chest. "I don't want to watch this, Jonny. All of those innocent people..."

"Yeah, I know," Jonathan muttered. A cut on his forehead was dripping blood and he wiped at it.

"I don't remember this being in the plan!" Strife shouted as Conniption skidded to a halt, the white Hoseman hopping off as Geisha and Rebecca sliding up next to him. "Why the hell is Rasha doing this?! There are children in there!"

Rebecca watched the descruction rain down, broken pieces falling. The angels had finally reached the demons and now they were slaughtering them, the screams and shouts louder than anything that was there. "They're demons," she whispered. "Born and raised in Hell... they know no better."

Finally the White City was corrected. Broken parts dripped like water and shouts of despair echoed all about. Fury pushed her face closer into Jonathan. "Just bury me. Bury me in the hate, confusion and pain."

Sorry for the long wait!! Two days off from school because of two or three inches of snow... Not complaining but seriously?

Alooc and Melody's fight is coming up next! And I encourage you to look into my other two stories, I have one for Mass Effect now if you like that series (but who doesn't?!)
