Chapter 3

I knew about those vampires... Lydia didn't know what she was going to get herself into...

"Lydia, I cannot help, you are just going to die and endanger all of us." Alice sternly said, her words as sharp as daggers. I haven't seen Alice like this at all, she seemed scared and angry at the same time. Her confidence she always had, diminished. She was as frightened about this as Lydia, except she knew what was happening.

"Alice, you can't give up on her. I won't let you!" I screamed,my voice echoing though the church. Alice looked at me and Aaron went to Lydia and started tending to her. Aaron seemed to know that when Alice is in this state, its a good idea to get away.

"Quinn, Impureions can track who they bite... Plus there is venom in her system that will make her weaker... not to mention they don't feed on just humans, no, they feed on other vampires. These are the cannibals of all vampires! I can't risk this..." Alice said, she was getting truly emotional, she was frustrated.

"Alice, please, you made a promise to keep your word, you are suppose to help me until either one of us dies. Your promise you have never broken with my family."

"I only made that promise to you and your grandfather, Quinn. I can't just protect every Tom,Dick, and Harry that you call a friend."

I was just getting more and more frustrated as I argued with Alice. Why would she do this?! Did she not understand a cared about Lydia?

"Alice! Please, I need to help Lydia. I don't know how I could live with myself if I gave up on her. Please, I need you, Alice." I pleaded, begging her.

She gave me a cold stare for awhile. The chills ran down my spine as she looked at me. Alice always helped me when I was in trouble. In a sense, I was like Ciel and she was my Sebastian. She swore to protect me. Just like she swore to my grandfather.

Then, her eyes then softened and she ruffled my hair, letting out a sigh. "I will do the best I can. But it will be no easy task, we need to notify the Vampire Council of the survival of the condemned vampires. But you two need rest, stay here." Alice said and I gave her a hug, awkwardly. She hugged me back, then pushed me away. I was ruining her big bad vampire image in that one moment. We walked back and announced the news.

"Lydia, we have to travel a long time and get help." Alice said and smirked. "But at this very moment, we all need rest. Tomorrow will be a very long day."

Throughout the night, I couldn't sleep... I got up and went toward some light. The light revealed the shadows of Alice and Aaron.

"I can't give up on them, my dear. Quinn is right, I always stay true to my word."

"Alice, it's dangerous!"

"A vampire's existence is dangerous!"

"I understand, love, but I just don't want to lose you!" Aaron was worried. He shifted nervously.

"Alice, I need you, you are everything to me. I promised to protect you and love you for eternity."

"Aaron, you are coming with me, you don't need to worry. I would never want to go out in the world without you. We are together, forever and ever. No matter what, I need you..." Alice then kissed Aaron. Their passion and their love were a truly eternal bond. You can sense the passion between the two of them. They were an inseparable pair. They were like two halves that perfectly aligned, as if they were made for each other.

"Alice, I love you..."

"I love you too, Aaron."

The candle was then put out, I then went back to bed. Waiting for dawn and the sun to come out. My thoughts stewed in my head as I tried to fall asleep. I was worried about Lydia. She could die. My best friend could die because of the supernatural world I tried to keep her from.

I hated being a witch.

I couldn't have normal friends. I should not have normal friends. But here I am, my best friend is here in my world now. I can only hope she will make it. She has to.

"Rise and shine, Children! We have a long road trip ahead of us!"Alice yelled, her voice bouncing off the walls of the church. I was still trying to sleep but then Alice kept shouting and making me really irritated at that moment.

"Come on! We need to tell both of your parents where we are going and why! Let's go, we are burning daylight!" Alice kept yelling, she was starting to get on my nerves a bit.

Lydia got up and she was groaning, she rubbed her head and her hair was a mess. She then became a little surprised as she looked around and saw me right next to her. "Quinn! What happened?!" She said and I shushed her.

"You were bitten by a vampire, a really bad one,and now my vampire guardians are going to help you get better. And we need to go on a road trip. And now we have to tell your parents where we are going. Sound fun?" I said and she sorta panicked.

"What?! Telling my parents! They won't let me go anywhere." She said as we walked down the stairs of the church. Lydia nervously straighten her clothes and hair. I walked beside her and felt a little bit scared for her, her folks would not take the truth well.

We were then greeted by Alice and Aaron, they had summer clothes on like humans would on a bright summer day.

"Morning you two! We better head off, who knows what will happen." Alice said, her summer dress was ruby red with heels to match, along with her red lipstick and black sunglasses.

She took us to the alley to show us her one of a kind car.

"Kids, meet The Black Widow, a 1958 Ford Thunderbird Convertible."

"Isn't that Elvira's car?"

"Oh no dear, it is the same year and make but different style."Alice said as she hopped into her car and everyone followed suite.

It was different, the seats were black leather with red trim, a black widow spider pained on the hood of the car, with the original steering wheel on the car.

"Alright, where do you live, Lydia? We may as well tell your parents first." Alice said and she looked at us in the back of the car with her rear view mirror.

"Why are my parents first? Besides... What are you going to tell them? They aren't going to believe you." Lydia said and she started panic a little.

Alice then turned and looked at Lydia. "I have a plan, my dear, don't worry about it." She said, pulling her sunglasses down and winked with a fanged smile.

We all buckled up and Alice backed up and started driving. "So, where is your house, Lydia?" Aaron asked, Lydia then told her address. Once Aaron told Alice where to go, we quickly arrived at Lydia's house.

"Alright, so everyone act normal, and watch Alice do her magic."Aaron said with a charming smile, Alice then had Lydia get out of the car with her, but I tagged along then Aaron came with me.

Alice rang the door bell and Lydia's father answered the door. "Can I help you?" He asked and Alice took her sunglasses off.

"Yes, look into my eyes." She gripped Mr. McKellen and looked at him straight in the eyes. "Your daughter forgot about the senior year school trip. She needs to pack some things. There is no need to call the school or your daughter. We will be all going on a camping trip."And she released her grip. Lydia's father then looked at Alice and smiled.

"Alright, Lydi, you better pack up, seems like you forgot about something again." He said with a laugh and we all laughed a little."Would you like to come in?"

"That would be wonderful. Thank you." And we all came in. Lydia's mom came and she looked at all of us weirdly and she dropped her glass she had in her hand.

"Oh, let me help." Aaron offered and he helped pick up the glass.

"Thank you, I am sometimes really clumsy. Must be because the glass was wet..." And then Aaron took Mrs. McKellen to the kitchen, probably to use the same technique to make sure this plan doesn't fall apart.

Lydia returned with a book bag on her back and a wooden case."Alright, I'm off." Lydia said and she hugged her dad. Then when her mom returned and she hugged her.

"Have a good trip, sweetie. We love you!" Her mom said as we walked out the door.

Once we started driving again, Alice breathed a sigh of relief."Thank goodness everything happened according to plan. Thanks to you, Darling." She said to Aaron and he flashed her a smile.

"Now that the hard part is over, now for the easy part."

"Wait, how did you guys do that mind thing? You seemed like you can just manipulate them like on The Vampire Diaries." Lydia said, wondering so much about what is really true about vampires.
"And how are you able to survive in the sun? Is there some sort of gem you need?"

"Lydia, we can answer all these questions another time. Let's get Quinn ready first." I then noticed Alice drove a long way past my house.

"Alice, my house is right next door to Lydi's"

Then Alice looked at me with her rear view mirror. She flashed her fake smile.

"Of course I knew that..."
