Gray pov
"NATSU! This isn't the time to be spacing out like this."I shout grabbing him by his scarf."Alright,fine.Let's finish this."Natsu mutters with a slight growl."So pathetic you humans are."Mard laughs."SHUT IT!"Natsu flames up and leaps up holding his hands together."FIRE DRAGON ROAR !"Natsu chants,blasting flames at our opponent.Mard comes out as if nothing happen...that is until I discover the small burns on his upper arm that's slightly hidden."Heh,is that all you got."Mard laughs getting Natsu even more worked up.

Natsu burst into flames,charging towards Mard as he chuckles at his attempt.More thorns shot out towards Natsu.Before making contact,Gray freezes them as Natsu crashed through the ice."Natsu,calm down.You can't let him get to your head."Gray explains as he grabs the outrage dragonslayer's scarf."Gray,let me go.I'll fight him myself." he replies with a little confusion in his tone.Mard grins. "What pest.Fighting like cats and dogs over me of all things." Mard says while flicking his hands up indolently.More thorns rises up from the ground and blast towards the arguing pair.In the nick of time,Gray blocks the attack with a wall of ice;being pushed back in the process."Natsu,Let's work together." he proposed looking over to Natsu as he nods,blazing his fist in flames.Mard brushed his hands on END's book whispering foreign words to it as it dimly glows.In the shadow a familiar figure smile as he looks at Natsu who rushes towards Mard.Halfway to the demon,Natsu stops to clench his head in pain,confusing both parties.

Natsu's POV

As I charge towards Mard,whispering to END's book,I felt a sharp pain in the back of my head.I tried to ignore it the best I could but it grew the closer I got to Mard.What's going on?I stop and clenched my head as the pain was too much causing me to close my eyes.A image starts playing in my head... like a memory.

A kid version of me,about 5or4 years of age running and laughing with his arms stretched out like wings.He turns back."Big brother,look at me!"the kid me chuckles as a black hair boy walks behind and looks up with a smile."Natsu,wait up!"he says running after me,laughing.He tackles the kid me and tickles me."Who is this person...I called him my older brother but I've never seen or heard of him before.Is this a trap?It can't be real but....".The space around me starts to warp and changes the setting to that of a child's room.I walked over to the bed to see the kid me,sleeping.Suddenly he starts having a coughing fit jolting him awake which made me panic a bit before my so-called older brother rushes in with medicine."Natsu!"he shouts worried.The boy passed through my body over to the kid me."Nii-san."Kid me smiles weakly rubbing his eyes as if nothing happened."You need to take your medicine."the boy explains pouring the liquid into a spoon spilling a teaspoon into the kid me's mouth.The boy was about to leave the room till the kid me tucks on his sleeve causing him to stop."Please don't go,big brother."he plea.With that the boy next on the bed next to his little brother,smiling."I won't ever leave you,Natsu.I promise.""Pinkie promise?"I asked holding my small pinkie out as the brother nods wrapping his around mines.We start to laugh.

Once again the space changes into a nurse's office of some sort with the kid me laying on a bed,staring weakly at the ceiling,the big brother was seating next to him with a hint of sadness in his eyes."Big brother,Will I be able to see mom and dad?"the kid me asked.The brother looks down gripping the covers."Yes...soon."he replied letting his hair over his sad expression in order to keep fear from his little brother's eyes."What were they like,big brother?"I asked looking over to him with a smile."Mom was kind and her voice let out sweet tunes and dad was brave and strong like you."he answers."And you're kind,strong and brave too,big brother."I smile.The kid me,placed his hand on his brother's shoulder and his forehead on his."Don't worry big brother,we'll always be together.No matter what,just like you said."I said bring his brother into a hug causing him a release a tear down his face.NATSU!NATSU!NATSU,ARE YOU OK!?"That's Gray 's voice.The space round me starts to disappear coming back to reality.I shake my head."What happened?"I question confused."I don't know,You tell me?"Gray asked helping me up.Mard's laugh attracts our attention while his hand was place on the side of his face slightly covering his lip with his pinkie.His crazy expression lands on me as he chuckles."Interesting,very.Now entertain me."he says shooting out more thorns our way with a flick of his wrist.Like before,my body takes control and dodges with ease before dashing towards Mard.I burst my fist into flames as Gray follows behind me,following my dodging movements. "Ice make Gungnir!" Gray chants throwing a large chunk of ice at Mard from behind.Grinning,I burst out from inside with my fist aflame."Fire Dragon's Brilliant Flame!" I shout slamming my hammer fist into Mard,knocking him to the ground but he's fine."Tch,is this guy immoral?"I mutter glaring at Mard. "If only my magic could hit him."he mumbles to himself."Hehe, very amusing, human wizards. But you could never hope to defeat me with magic." Mard chuckles glaring at us as if we're bugs. I stand up as he talks. Don't get what he's talking about but I listen anyways. "Once a long time ago, magic was born as one and the same. Then it grew into many different types of magic. It's said in history, END created a new form of magic, an evolution for magic in fact." He starts. Huh? Why do I feel as if I've heard this all somewhere before? "Curses. They come from negative feelings which makes them stronger because they're based on the nature of life unlike magic." He comments. "Tch.Curses are of the past and magic will make the future." I shout out. Mard response with a raised hand and mist starts coming towards us. I start to get a bad feeling about it as it draws near. Right as it touches me, I couldn't move my body.

"Heh, Magic is weak and curses are superior in every way possible." Mard grins. "WHAT IS THIS?" I yell. "My ultimate curse that I've created to destroy Zeref. And you're my first test subjects. Now fall into purgatory!" He roars as the mist starts burning my skin. This burning sensation...I've never felt this before. I started shouting in pain as I try to force my body to move. "The memory of death... Memento Mori!" Mard shouts as I closed my eyes and everything around me turned white before me.. All the rocks start disappearing along with the ground. "To kill Zeref the immortal. I must destroy the concept of life and death. Once trapped in my curse, you're neither dead nor alive. Now vanish!" he laughs evilly. But that doesn't make sense. How can you not be dead or alive...like....a...ghost? "The future..." Gray mutters catching my attention. I slightly grin...I trust you Gray. Soon everything was white and I held my arms up to protect myself from the falling rocks. I slowly open my eyes to see Gray and half his body is black...what did he do? "Gray?" I start as Mard looks in shock at what just happened. "Half his body's been demonized. Is that Silver's power!?" Mard shouts in disbelief.. Instead of answering,Gray slowly falls muttering, "To...make..way..for..the future...all I can..do now..is...Believe in Natsu." Gray...tch I won't let you down. Anger builds up inside me as my fist were burning with anger to match how I feel right now. "HOW DARE YOU!!!" I roar charging towards Mard in rage as he transforms back into his demon form. My fist burst into flames as I slam them into his face, sending him into the wall 10 feet away from me which knocking down the building in the process. While in mid-air I jump up and slam my knee into Mard's chest sending him upward before I landed on a rock. "Is this Dragon Force?!" Mard in shock. "Dragon-slaying secret arts-" I start. Scales start to form on my face as my body burst into flames of rage. "Shiranui type Crimson Lotus Phoenix sword!" I roar as I soar towards Mard leaving a long wake of flames behind. I headbutt Mard as hard as I could sending him flying higher into the sky, breaking the rock I was on. So tired..I hope that did it. "This isn't over. " Mard yells. "Damn." I mutter unable to move as he grabs my head. Mard yells something at me but I ignore it. "This is just unbelievable...even at my max..you're still fighting." I sigh with a sly grin. He shouts something but I don't care...it's all over now.I spot Gray standing up readying his bow."But...I too believe in.. GRAY!" I yell down to Gray readying his attack. "Ice devil's Zeroth Destruction Bow!"Gray chants releasing the arrow.The Ice arrow strikes through Mard as I crash roll into the ground."We finally did it."I pant getting up."It's not over!...Not until I destroy END!"Gray mutters walking away."Oh yeah I almost forgot,that book."I say looking around.Couldn't find it but I could feel as if it's close by."I'm destroying it, Natsu"Gray says while I looked under a rock."You can't.I won't let you."I said vaguely turning back to him."Eh?Why can't I?"he slightly glares at me."Well...etto....Igneel told me to give it to him."I replied scratching the back of my head.Then I noticed Gray had END's book in his hand."Natsu what's wrong with you?This thing created Tartaros and he's Zeref's strongest demon in Zeref's book.All the more reason to get rid of it.Don't you think?"Gray shouts swiping his hand in front of him. "No I don't think so.For some reason I just don't think that you should."I explain getting a feeling of anger building up inside me. "It's not like I wanted to create this 'guild'."I mutter under my breath in a dark tone."Uh?What did you say?"Gray says looking at me suspiciously."Gray,give me the book."I growl slightly."What no."Gray grips the book tightly.Suddenly I charge up to Gray and punch him.
