#2 Lucy's Training
Lucy's POV
This strange boy takes me to the beach part of Hargoen and claims that he wants to help me train. He stands across from me and grins. "Ok, bring out that lion spirit," he demands with his arms crossed. Confused, I still bring out Loke's key. "Hello, gorgeous. Summoning me twice in one day, uh. Guess you really missed me." Loke grins appearing in front of me. "Uh well not really. I just-" before I could finish the boy charges towards Loke with a cocky grin. "Finally a challenge!" he calls out from the air. The boy throws down a punch only for Loke to block it using his arm. The impact created a crater under them. "What the heck?!" I shout as the boy leaps back. "Come on. Show me what you guys got so far," he calls out while in a fight stance. "Is that the boy from the train?" Loke looks at me confused and then at the boy. "We don't got all day." he looks at me dead in the eye as he waves his arms in front, coaxing us. "Want me to teach him a lesson." Loke looks over to me, getting ready for a punch. "Just go easy on him ok. I still don't know his goals yet." I explain with a little worry on my tone. Why does this boy want to fight? I thought he was going to tell me about my magic. "Ok. Regulus Impact!" Loke chants sending a weaker version of his attack.
The boy raises his arm in front of him and swipes the spell away effortlessly. "Don't go easy on me just because I'm a kid." he glares at us. In a blink, he disappears. Where did he go? "I won't go easy on you." I hear his voice behind me. Sharp pain strikes my back sending me flying into the water. "LUCY!" I pop out of the water after catching my breath. "I'm fine!" I lie, placing my hand over the spot where I was attacked. The boy grins standing where I was. Loke glares back at him. "Why would you hurt a woman like that?!" Loke roars as I make my way out of the water. "Regulus Gatling Impact" Loke charges towards the boy and repeatedly blast punches. After the smoke clears, the boy blocks the attack with crystals that formed on his arms. "Oh come on Lucy. Get serious. Make the spirit's power your own." he mocks swinging his arm out, making the crystals break off. What is he talking about? Make Loke's power my own?
Fuyu's POV
I guess she still doesn't get it and it's been weeks since we started training. So far all she's done is open more gates. If only she could find a way to infuse her celestial spirit's magic into herself. "I guess it's my turn to attack." I cheer holding my hand out to create a few smaller crystal shards and throw them at Lucy and her spirit. Loke and Taurus manage to break most of them. But why...why am I helping her develop her magic? She's my enemy, correct? Maybe I just want to kill her when she's at her best. Or is it something else?
Past...
I wandered through the forest looking for my brother, Natsu. That was until I happened upon a lady by the banks of a river. I hid behind a tree and watched her from a distance however I tripped and fell into the river. "Help!" I shout. The lady quickly pulls out a golden key and sticks it into the water. After chanting something, a mermaid appeared and grabs me. "Are you ok?" the lady questioned with concern. I nod, waiting for her to scream in terror over my horns and fur but she didn't. Instead, she invited me over to her cottage and feed me. Quite a shock to the usual reactions to a demon like myself.
"I'm Anna Heartfilla. What's your name?" she asked with a smile. Well, I can't give her my real name. In a sudden panic, I reply with,"Natsu. My name is Natsu." "What a nice name. How do you spell that?" She smiled. Uh..."I don't know. "I look off to the side. "Do you know how to read or write?" I shake my head. She claps her hands. "I'll teach you how then." she smiles. Ever since then, I would go over to Anna's house for her to teach me how to read and write.
I look back at Lucy and finally realize she looks like Anna Heartfilla. Is this why I'm helping her, to repay Anna? While in a daze, I didn't notice Loke has made his way to me. "Lion Brillance!" he chants. A blast of light blinds me only for it to be followed up by magic punches to the stomach and chest. Taurus does the finishing blow. I went flying into the air and crash into the building closest to the beach. I cough moving the rubble off me. Lucy was there holding her hand out to me and I simply turn my head. "Come on, I thought you wanted to help me train." she smiles grabbing my arm; pulling me up. I pant as I snatch my hand away. "I tried to kill you, you know?" I glare. Loki glares back and moves in between me and Lucy after my comment. I laugh still feeling the sting from Gray's attack and place my hand on it. "Didn't look like you were doing much." Lucy grins, mocking me as she sends Taurus back. I roll my eyes. "Anyways, I thought you would realize what to do in the heat of battle but I guess I was wrong." I turn my back to them. "Then what was this all about?" the cat questions. "I'm trying to get Lucy to tap into your power and use it as her own." I smile remembering her fight with Jackal. "Uh?" Lucy looks at me with a confused expression. "I guess the celestial King hasn't told you. Figures. That old man doesn't tell people anything." I sigh scratching my head in frustration. "You've used this magic before. To beat Jackal." I shout. Her eyes widen at my outburst.
"How do you know that name?" she demanded. I burst into laughter. "I guess the gig is up." I look at them with a wide crazed grin, sending chills as my killing intent burst from within. "I just really wanted you do try that magic again. Pretty please," I laugh as my voice starts to become more demonic and distorted. I begin to go into my demon form and they start to become serious. "What are you?!" Lucy pulls out her whip and another key. "Hmph, just like everyone else," I mutter looking down on them. All humans act the same, why did I believe she would be different. I pat my chest. "Now give me all you got, Lucy. Incorporates the power of the Leo spirit and attack. The same way you did to beat my comrade." I grin. I'll finish what I came here to do, have her survive long enough for me to destroy her for my brother. "END?! But I thought-" "That your ice friend killed me? Heh not quite." I take a step forward and was met with a fist of light magic. I grab the spirit's fist in mid-air and threw him into the water. "Sorry, I was going easy the first time." The key in Lucy's hand glows and she summons Taurus once more. "Moo!" he chants swinging his ax at me. I grab the blade and smile. "Gate close." I chant forcing her spirit through the gate. "H-HOW!?" Lucy shivers staring at me in horror. I laugh. "I may not look like it but I've been around for many years. You tend to pick up on a few things." I stop in my track as Loke tries to come up from behind me. I leap up out the way. "Lucy, you better do something. I know, let's try it the hard way." I mock her. Loke tries to kick me in mid-air, however, I use my crystals to block it and grab Loke by the neck. "STOP IT!" she shouts as I squeeze the kitty cats throat. Loke's key starts to glow as she places the key close to her chest. "Let my friend go!" she cries, tears coming down. In a burst of light, her clothes start to transform.
Past...in the celestial world after falling into a portal...
"There is a strong type of celestial magic." the old spirit king starts. "Oh really. But none of you can take me in your state." I grinned cockily. "Is that so? I can kill you if I wanted." he jokes. "Tell me about this magic then." "Star dress magic, its a type of celestial magic where the mage can use their spirit's magic, " he explains. Hmm sounds powerful enough. But what mage can use that type of magic
Present...
Once the light dims, I see Lucy finally use that magic once again. Star dress. The magic that old geezer talked about. I grin as she stands her ground and points at me. "Let my friend go," she demands. I drop Loke and clap. "Finally. Real magic." She spins and tries to kick me, however, I grab her leg. Grinning, I decided to use little force to toss her to the side. "Well, it's been fun. I met my goal. " I stuck my hands into my pocket and head towards the outskirts of the city. "Get back here! " she shouts as I shrink down to my human form. "Keep practicing and get stronger. Then we can have a rematch." I wave goodbye. "No, you don't!" Loke runs over and swings a punch. I effortlessly moved over, dodging it. "You really don't want to fight me in my real state. Just focus on training Star dress magic while I'm gone." I say, disappearing into the wind.
