I turn my head to see Zeref smiling softly. Why now? I slightly look at Wendy and raise my arm in front of her. "Get back," I growl. "You're in no condition to be fighting!" she runs around my arm and gets into attacking stance. "Sky Dragon's wing attack!" she chants as she generates a large whirlwind from her arms. The attack twists and rotates to attack Zeref.  He was blown back but flips to land on his feet. "Huh?" Wendy blinks. I swipe my arm towards Zeref to make crystals jolt out from under him. He leaps out the way and lands on a tree branch. "Wendy get out of here! That's Zeref." I shout at her. "And that's more of a reason to help you. You can't fight him alone," she argues back. Tch stubborn. " Then I'll make you leave," I mutter growing into my demon form.  She stares in fear. "Now leave!" I growl, lowering my head down to her, showing my fangs and horns. 

Instead of running, Wendy stands her ground and stares at me in the face. "I'm not afraid of you." she stomps her foot down with her hands on her side. EH?! I sense a spell heading towards us and stand in front of Wendy and crystalize the fur on my back into spikes.  Zeref uses a type of fire magic and my crystals absorb the attack becoming trapped inside them. I pull one of them off me and throw it back at Zeref. He moves out the way, as my crystal stab into a tree trunk behind him.  "Great, so your crystals can absorb magic now. Nice." he claps. "That's not all they can do. "I grin holding my hand out. The crystal blast Zeref's attack back at him. However, he was still unaffected. "Nice trick. You've been practicing. " he laughs. Tch now he's mocking me.  He suddenly grips his head. "You better give my brother his curse back. Now!" he roars.  Wendy charges towards Zeref and leaps into the air. "Sky Dragon crushing Fang!" she chants cloaking her hand in wind magic. Zeref started to surround himself with dark magic, getting ready to send a wave out. "NO!" I grab her leg and pull her back behind me. In a single swipe, I created a crystal dome around us and pull Wendy into a hug to protect her using my fur.  As the wave of dark magic strikes the dome, the once light blue crystal turn dark and some parts of it crumble away. 

  I cough and let Wendy go. "You alright?" I question.  She nods and looks behind me. "Ok I got a plan. Do your dragon roar." She nods and readies her attack. Zeref grins as he watches. "Sky dragon's Roar!" she blasts a tornado towards Zeref. I raise my hand up and crystalize the attack in mid-air as it strikes into Zeref's chest, blasting him back through the forest. " Yay!" Wendy cheers giving me a high-five. I grin and high five her back. It won't kill him but it should keep him down for- Suddenly an extremely large vertical explosion blast right through Wendy, sending her small body into a tree. My eyes widen as her eyes start to lose its shine. W-Wendy?! Zeref walks back towards me. I glare and quickly grab Wendy's body. "We're done here, Fuyu. You should have known she was going to die." he smiles softly thinking about someone.  

I quickly dash through the lamp lit town towards the infirmary. "Wendy!" Carla comes rushing over. Seeing Wendy, she shoots me a hateful stare. "What did you do to her!Demon!" she slams her fist into me. I ignore her and continue to rush to the infirmary. Once there I took the rose crystal she had and place my hand on it. I take a deep breath focusing my life energy into my hands. I gotta be quick about this as I activate my curse.  I pour my energy into the crystal, trying to heal her. It starts to work and I begin to shrink into my human form from using my energy. The hole in her stomach starts to close up and covers up with crystal. I take a deep sigh of relief as I start to see her breathing again and the rose crumbles. I cough up some blood as my horns start to shrink. 

The next day

I look over to see Wendy starting to get up since I watched her all night with Carla. I tried explaining what happened to the cat but she wants to hear it from Wendy. She rubs her head as she looks around. " Oh hey you. What happened...ZEREF!" she looks around frantically. "Its all over now, Wendy. This kid saved you." Carla smiles patting my back. I walk over and hand her another crystal rose. "Since I broke your other one, here's another one. Now, don't you dare go breaking this one. Because I'm not making you another one," I glare. She smiles softly. "Thank you...I guess after all this, I still never got your-" "Fuyu." I mutter."Uh?" "My name is Fuyu. You asked, didn't you?" I turn away towards the door. I place my hands into my pocket. "Now leave me alone, Ok. No following me or next time I'll let you die." I shoot a glare her way. "Tsk the nerve of you." Carla scolds. With that, I grab some supplies and head out of town. I take a look back at the guild. Please don't get hurt, Wendy. I facepalm. What am I saying? She's a human!
