Marie's POV

I woke up and felt strange. I remembered what had happened yesterday and that I was currently buried by a hell lot of mud. I somehow managed to get through it and pushed myself out of the hole. I looked around it had to be dark but I could see as if it was day. I heard Kyle talking, I looked into the direction but couldn't see them. Than it hit me. My senses were much better now, they could be miles away and I still heard them. Suddenly something grabbed my ankle, making me jump and a scream leave my mouth, which was quickly covered by a hand. I turned my head to see Dan standing behind me. “Relax, it was me.” A deep breath left my mouth. “You scared the fuck out of me.” I scolded him. “I'm sorry I thought you would be a tree.” He said scratching his neck. “A tree?” I burst out laughing. Kyle, Woody and Will had arrived by now as well. “Are you guys alright? We heard Marie scream.” Dan blushed, obviously embarrassed that he thought I was a tree. “Everything's fine. Dan just scared me.” Dan smiled at me thanking me for not telling them. “So how do you feel as a baby?” Kyle placed his hand on my shoulder smirking. “Actually, quiet good I could hear you talking, when you were miles away.” He nodded his head with a impressed expression on his face. “Feeling a bit weak?” Dan asked me when he stood up. I didn't noticed it before but I actually did feel a bit weak. I nodded my head. “Let's hunt than!” Kyle said. “I saw a few drunken teenager a few miles away.” Woody said when he pointed in the direction. “Are we going to kill them?” I asked, a bit scared of the answer. They all turned to me shocked. “No, don't worry, you just feed a bit and than heal their marks with your own blood but I'll show you.” Dan kissed the side of my face, when he wrapped his arm around my waist.

Dan's POV

This was it. It was done. I felt relieved, knowing I would never have to leave her again but also guilty. We had separated from the guys and were now walking near a little river following the smell of drunk people. Marie looked at me. “Are you happy?” I was confused, I looked down at her “What do you mean?” She started to bit her lip and fumble with the hem of her shirt. “Well you never wanted to turn me and now you didn't have any other choice and I was wondering if you are happy that you don't have to leave me again or if you regret it.” a small smile covered my lips and I quickly wrapped my arms around her. “You have no idea how happy I am that I never have to leave you again, but I feel guilty for stealing your human life.” She smiled at me before she kissed me. “I never wanted to leave you, M, I just wanted to protect you.” She nodded her head understanding and leaned into my side, nuzzling her head into my chest. “I'm tired” She mumbled, making me chuckle.

We walked for a few more minutes before we could see the humans. There were five of them. We couldn't just attack them, Marie was too weak and new to all this, let's just say it wouldn't end well. Suddenly Kyle, Woody and Will appeared next to us. I looked at them confused and they looked at us confused. “Don't tell me we all followed the same smell.” Kyle shook his head laughing. “Well at least there is one for everyone.” Will smirked.

After we fed we healed them and wiped away their memory of us. We left and walked towards town. I was worried, we completely forgot to check for a place to stay. I guess that means we'll have to sleep in the earth for one more night. Marie was walking with Woody. They were laughing, making me smile to myself. Maybe it wasn't that bad that we had to turn her, now I can enjoy eternity with her.

“She's happy, you know that right?” Kyle had caught up with me. I nodded. “Still, I'm feeling a bit guilty and I just can't get this thought out of my head, what if she regrets it soon.” Kyle chuckled. “Mate, she's so in love with you and she always was, she'll never regret it as long as you don't leave her.” I chuckled to myself, I loved her too, more than anything. “Oh and mate, I thought you might forget about a place to stay tonight but I found a little cottage and rent it for the week or so, so Marie can get used to the new situation.” I thanked him and caught up with Marie. I wrapped my arm around her waist and gently forced her to slow down so we were walking alone. “Subtle move to create some alone time Mr Smith.” She chuckled before quickly pecking my cheek.
