Marie's POV

It felt like we were walking for ages. I was walking with Woody, while Dan, Will and Kyle walked in front of us. “What is Boreray?” I turned to look at him. I could see that he felt uncomfortable. “It's an island in the north of Scotland. No human being lives there.” “But this Tristan?” Woody nodded his head. “Who is he?” He took a deep breath. “A friend.” “And this Glen?” I knew I was probably asking him too many questions, but I was curious. “Tristan's child and he used to be a friend, I don't know how he's feeling about us now.” I nodded my head, this actually confused me more than it helped. “And they got a map of the territories?” Woody nodded his head. “I'm not really sure of all territories, but the most should be on it.” I nodded again, before a sigh passed my lips. “This is all so complicated!” Woody nodded and chuckled. “I'm sorry, I pester you with all these questions.” “Don't worry about it, M, I would do the same in your position.” Woody smiled at me. “So you don't mind if I pester you a bit more?” Woody chuckled “Go a head, little one!”.

Dan's POV

“Are we close yet?” Kyle whined next to me, making me and Will chuckle. “You're such a baby, mate!” Will patted his shoulder. Kyle sighed and looked at me. “Come on, mate. How far is it?” I smiled to myself. “Not far.”

After a while we reached the end of the woods and the beach sprawled out in front of us. Woody and Marie had caught up with us now. Marie pushed herself between me and Will, moving my arm around her shoulder. Suddenly confusion was written all over her face. “Are we going to swim?” “Easiest way.” Will stated before he started walking into the sea. Kyle and Woody followed him. I started to walk as well, when Marie grabbed my arm. “Are you guys serious?” She looked at the sea a bit scared. “You want to swim all the way.” I turned to face her and wrapped my arms around her waist. “It's alright, love. You're a vampire now. Nothing will happen to you.” The frown on her face disappeared, but as quickly as it was gone it returned. She bit her lip, looking at the floor. “Are you alright, love?” She shook her head, before lifting it to meet my gaze. “I...I-I … can't swim.”She looked to the floor again. A small smile covered my face. “Hold tight than!”. I knelt down in front of her, my back facing her, waiting for her to jump on my back.

The whole way, Marie's grip was tight, she was holding on for dear life. We arrived at Boreray and the others were already waiting for us. We made our way to the house. I was worried, what if Tristan had moved on, or an argument with Glen had ended badly.

Marie's POV

Woody approached the door. He was about to knock, when a blond guy opened the door. He looked tired. His blue eyes were sad. He looked at us, before his eyes fixed on Dan. “You haven't been here in a while.” He stated, before a smile started to form on his lips. “Come in, my friends.!” He stepped aside and we entered the house. “I think introductions are in order.” His blue eyes fixed on me. “Oh! I almost forgot!” Dan chuckled, before he walked over to me and Tristan. “Tristan, this is Marie, Marie this is Tristan.” He held out his hand and I took it. “It's nice to meet you, Sir.” He chuckled. “Oh dear, there is no need to be formal. Tristan is alright, no need for sir!”
